I purchased a pair of boots over the weekend(Sunday)the first day(Tuesday) I decided to wear them the stitching came apart, and the front of the boot opened up. I gave them a call and explained my situation and bc I had wore them they said I couldn’t exchange or return. I mean, how was I supposed to know taking the first steps would cause damage –___– but then again you should expected poor quality from a store like this.

The customer service is still the same — nonexistent, and the quality is the same also — poor!

Im a guy and I like buying shoes here. The selection is good and the prices are too. Many styles are 50% off retail. You can’t beat that. I’ve bought several pair of Clark shoes from them. They are good quality.

I love this place if nothing just for the wonderful selection and prices!!! I didn’t need any customer service help though I always see them walking around, I got the shoes myself and tried on about 4 pairs I wish I could have bought all. Wonderful. Though the girl at the cashier asked me if she could serve the customer behind me before processing my return, that’s all that took one bar off my review.

I’ve been looking for a certain type of shoe since last week and on the Internet and I noticed DB shoes had them. I went last night(02/06/2014) and as I walked in the door I noticed the shoes I wanted were right past the front door. To boot, they were on sale for 50% off. Wow. I had to try two different sizes to make sure they would fit. What I noticed, not one employee bothered to ask me, or any other customer, if I needed help. I really didn’t need help because I already found what I needed. But just the fact that the customer service was lacking immensely set the tone for the experience. When I went to pay there was no, «Did you find everything okay or Is there anything else I can help you with?» I’ve worked in all facets of the customer service industry for over 20 years. Nothing is more important to a business than the customer.

The worst customer service experience I’ve ever had in Tanforan Shopping Mall. After looking over some of their shoe selection on 4÷13÷13 at 5:30p, I decided on some cute wedges. I went to the front counter to pay for my merchandise and behind the counter there were two clerks one helping a customer and the other talking to the clerk that was helping the customer. The one not helping a customer didn’t offer to help me and never once did either of them look up to say we’ll be right with you. After the clerk was done with her customer she told me she’ll help you and went to the back to get some orange juice. The clerk assisting me had a cheek and nose piercing which was disgusting and she never said hello since she began talking to the clerk that was drinking orange juice. They were talking bad about co-workers and horrible things about a female that they both knew, not something that should be done in front on customers. After my transaction she never said thank you and kept talking with the other clerk. Management and DB Shoes should really look into these two clerks behavior and not have them assisting customers maybe they should stock shelves instead so they can keep their mouths closed. I’m never shopping their again.

This store has the worst customer service. The clerk was rude and should hold a customer service position in any establishment. If you are looking for shoes, I recommend you keep walking on by. Even if it is in your old shoes. It’s just not worth it! I would like to give it a negative star but Unilocal doesn’t give you that option!!!

Uhhh are the shoes even authentic here? I saw a couple of Steve Maddens with poorly stitched labels so I asked the sales lady if they were authentic and she told me they were. Ya right, I’m not paying $ 80 for some shoes that I can easily get at DSW where I know they’re legit!

On July 5th I bought shoes at the San Bruno store #16. I brought the shoes home and wore them for 15 minutes and felt a bump on the inner left shoe rubbing my foot causing discomfort. I felt there was a defect on the shoe so I went back to the store on July 7 to attempt to exchange the shoes for a better pair. I brought the shoes to the front counter and told the sales lady what the problem was. She felt inside the shoe with her finger and told me she could not feel a bump and I explained to her that you would have to wear the shoe to feel the problem. She told me I could not exchange the shoes because I had worm them already and I responded how could I tell if the shoes had a defect if I had not worn the shoes. She then called over the manager and told him she could not feel any bump with her finger and the manager told me I could not return the shoes because I worn them and they can’t resell the shoes. I asked him how could I know if the shoes were defective if I had not worm them first and why would you resell shoes knowing someone had told you they were defective. The manager then shoved the receipt in my face and told me to read what it said, «No returns if you had worn the shoes». I understand if I had just didn’t like the shoes and decided to return them but in this case I felt DB Shoes had sold me bad product. I have bought shoes at DB Shoes for years and recommend the store to several people including a friend that was with me at the time who bought shoes at the store in the past. Now due to how the manger treated me and learning that DB Shoes does not stand behind the products they sell and apparently resell products known to be defective as long as the shoes were not worn, I will no longer make purchases at DB Shoes and will no longer recommend the store to anyone that I know. The friend that was with me at the time I attempted to exchange the shoes said she will no longer buy shoes at DB shoes or recommend the store to anyone. She also feels the manager was rude and unprofessional and the store does not stand behind the products it sells.

This is probably the most«expensive» store at Tanforan. Pretty much every brand and no-brand shoes will be marked up very high. They grab your attention with all these sales and XX% off. Steve Madden flats for $ 69.99 with 50% off or something like that. If you’ve done your shopping elsewhere, you can find SM flats for cheaper. I’ve gotten the same exact pair, the SM heaven patent flats for $ 30 at DSW before. There are a few styles that may be cheaper than DSW. Some of their shoes are cute, but then I still wouldn’t pay $ 30 bucks for them. For one thing, nameless brand, I might as well just get my shoes from Forever 21 right across or Target a bit further down. I’ll probably get the same quality for cheaper. db Shoes does hold a variety of products, you have athletics in the back, men’s, heels, flats, sandals, wedges. Overall, they’re still lacking some variety of brands and styles offered.

I enjoy this place and the one in the financial district in san francisco, despite its lame location(in sf that is). yeah, there is mostly no-name brands but when you need some shoes, or you’re as cheap as me, come here! i bought boots from the sf location last year and the heel on my boot is now chizzling down to a smaller heel(like all heels&boots).they’ve lasted this long and i love them! i enjoy finding cheap shoes that are ok./good quality. they’ve a wide selection on styles, colors and random brands, i only wish that they had more 9 ½ or 10 sizes :( and steve madden btw isn’t THAT great of a company, their shoes are usually difficult to break in, their heels are unstable, and the arch is horrible in practically all styles. and on another sassy note, if you wanted pure leather shoes /super nice shoes, they’re NEVER nearly as cheap as the ones at a discount shoe store like this. people are just too picky. GODBSHOES woot!

Walked in just to browse. What’s with all the super inflated prices?! Saw a pair of Steve Madden flats for $ 70. Wtf. I literally just saw the same exact pair at DSW for half the price. Am I missing something? Are they made of gold? When you rub them, does a genie pop out? No clue what’s going on at this joint.

Not really sure what to think of this store… most of the shoes seem kinda cheap. With the exception of a few Steve Madden and Nine West pairs, I’ve never heard of any of the other brands on display. Just because I haven’t heard of something doesn’t mean it’s no good of course, but none of it appeared to be of any quality… none of the boots I looked at were actually leather, most of the heels looked cheaply made, and the prices seemed WAY inflated despite all the signs everywhere proclaiming discounts. Stores that do this make me really stabby, actually. They have obviously jacked the regular prices WAY up and then posted signs advertising ridiculous«discounts»(up to 70% off in some cases) that aren’t discounts at all — they just bring the price back down to the regular retail cost you’d find for the same shoes elsewhere. Even at the Nine West or Steve Madden stores themselves. That kind of shit is deceptive and irritating. I’m not sure what DB stands for, but right now I’m leaning toward DoucheBaggery.
