Excellent, meticulous service! Ian and team took great care in fixing my car after I got rear ended (not my fault). From the start, they were very responsive and got me back in my beloved car! They also cleaned her up quite nicely too. I highly recommend them. Thanks Gavas!

What great service!
I had filed a claim with my insurance company, and while on my way to work, I saw Gava’s with the AAA sign attached to their sign. I thought I’d give them a call to see if they had availability to repair a puncture in my bumper.
Zig was able to schedule me in, easily. My experience simply went as follows:
1. Brought my car in.
2. Filled out a document with my information.
3. Gava’s called Hertz for a rental car.
4. Hertz picked me up and I got a rental car.
5. The VERY NEXT DAY Gava’s calls and says my car is ready.
6. Picked my car up and was able to leave the rental there for Hertz to pick up.
Everything went SO smoothly! And the service was so fast! I have full confidence in this shop to recommend this place for car repairs.
When you have to deal with the an auto claim process, it drags. At the end of the day, you just want your car back to its original condition! I sat in the rental car the one day I had it and prayed my car wouldn’t take too long (the original estimate for repair time was 3 days) — so when I received the call the very next that my car was ready, I couldn’t even explain my happiness!
And on top of fast service, they even detailed the interior :)

I was having trouble getting Honda of Serramonte to return my calls after they had initially sent me over to Gava’s for an estimate. Two months later, and unable to find out the status of the approval for the warranty work, I called Ian at Gava’s for assistance. He did the legwork and, knowing who to contact at Honda, was able to find out that the work had indeed been approved.
Then when I called Honda to confirm that I would be dropping off my car for bodywork, they transferred my call to a different bodyshop! Again confused about the whole situation, I called Ian and he made a call to Honda to sort it out. Gava’s ended up doing the job. So thankful for the help I received from Ian; otherwise, my car would probably still be rusting away!

Took my 2015 Honda Accord there two weeks ago. I took it in Monday night and the guy told me it may be done Thursday or Friday. Which was fine but came Thursday and Friday no call or updates. Not only did I not receive a call for updates on the process I needed to call myself. Than I had to call again Monday to check in again because they gave me no updates. To me customer service means a lot when deciding on where to take my car. The work was fine but not their customer service.

My 2012 Toyota Prius (my baby) was rear-​ended and smashed forward into another car. Somehow my steering wheel was bent and both the front and rear bumpers needed to be replaced (welding was required too!). I was originally sent to a different auto body shop by the insurance company but they took two weeks just to get me an assessment.
I called Ian and explained my situation. He took in my Prius same day and had it back to me in less than two weeks completely repaired, polished, and shining. He was even nice enough to run it next door and get my oil changed!
The Gavas crew can deliver. My Prius is good as new!

Ian is the first person I’ll contact whenever I need an auto repair. Not only does he go above and beyond & extremely helpful, but his team delivers all the time. The quality of their work is top notch and the pricing is competitive– HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I’ve been hit 3x within the past 2 years when my car was parked and all 3x I’ve had it repaired at Gava’s & the car came out looking brand spankin new. Thank you again Ian & team!

Ian is my go-​to guy. A business is only as good as the ppl running it and his customer service is what keeps us coming back (we come back a lot because my gf is a magnet for hit and runs and parking tickets). Ian can’t help on the parking tickets but he’ll make sure your car is pristine while it’s ticketed.
Their work is immaculate and you can relax knowing the work is going to be done right but most importantly this shop is ethical and won’t try to rip you off, which is a major concern with body shops.
Make sure to ask for Ian!

Nice work on my bumpers and fenders at great price. Even though the work took longer than estimated, they didn’t charge me extra.

Now I know why Gava’s gets so many 5-​star reviews. Their service and quality are top-​notch. I had some really crappy luck in the last two months and got into two separate accidents, which required repairs on my car. I found Gava’s on Unilocal and was really impressed with all the amazing reviews. Both times I worked with Ian, who was super nice and easy going. Gava’s took care of everything for me, from contacting insurance to working with the appraisers to assess my damages. They kept me updated on the repairs and gave me reasonable and accurate timelines on when the repairs would be done. When the car was ready, they even offered to deliver the car to my house! They did an amazing job both times. The car looks brand new. They even cleaned my car, both inside and out, before delivering it back to me. I have no complaints! It really sucks to get into an accident and see your car all messed up, but these things happen. I was just glad that I found Gava’s, and they took care of everything for me. I would recommend them to everyone I know!

Ian and Chris provided excellent customer service and the quality of the work and craftmanship was excellent. Their color matching was outstanding and my car came back looking better than ever. They made my g35 look brand new.

I have never written a Unilocal review before, but Gava’s Auto Body is well deserving of it. Ian was super friendly and helpful through the whole process. I do NOT have one complaint about this place. They were great! There is no question in my mind what auto body shop I will go to in the future, or recommend to others.

There is reason why GAVA’s Auto Body has 5 stars! Their staff is truly amazing. I got hit while I was at the Colma Chipotle eating and came out my car bumper was hit. The person that hit me took full 100% coverage.
I did not know what auto body shop to go to so I searched on Unilocal and GAVA’s had 5 stars so I knew that was the place to go. I simply went in and the process was so easy, quick, and simple. I came in they took the claim number, took photos, and I left. Zig Chu is the one that helped me. The next day they then told me I can come in and get my rent a car. They had called enterprise to pick me up.
Once, the car was finished they called me and all I had to do was leave the rent a car there because they would have someone pick it up. All I had to do was get my car! Plus, they even gave me a car wash! That made my day because I knew once I got the car fixed I wanted to take my fixed car to the car wash.
DO NOT GO ANY WHERE ELSE! 5 STARS! If I could I would give them 10 STARS!
I forgot to mention they have a beautiful aquarium, beverages for guests, and even coffee. Their waiting area is a nice place to lounge.

I found ugly black scratches on the back bumper of my baby BMW. No bueno. Tears imminent.
I took it to the dealer first and the body shop that had an office there gave me an estimate for a lot of money. They would have to remove, disassemble and repaint the whole bumper. It would take days to fix! Needing more than one data point, I called Dad.
My mechanic uncle always recommends Gava’s and Dad confirmed. So, I rolled into Gava’s on a sunny afternoon. Ian took one look at my car, brought over a rag with some magic potion on it, and removed the ugly marks with a few quick swipes! Then with a wave of his hand and a little wax, all was right with my car!
I didn’t feel the need to cry anymore. I’m one happy girl again!
He sent me on my way and I was so giddy, I called Dad right away to send a thank you note.

Taking your car for repairs is never fun. So many things to consider, quality of workmanship, guarantee of service, reputation of shop. When someone backed into my Audi, I decided to go with Gava’s based on the consistently good reviews. I was not disappointed. Ian was super helpful, and addressed all of my requests in processing the estimate. The paint color matched up very well. They also made sure that fitment was perfect on my Audi. I am grateful for their level of expertise in repairing my vehicle and making it look new again. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring any of my vehicles back to Gava’s. Thanks again!

Gavas are amazing!
I had an accident last November and the car had bad rear end damage. The team were confident, competent and very helpful every step of the way.
The work was completed under schedule.
After a couple of months I noticed a scratch on the rear trunk that appeared to peel. I took it back and they instantly said no problem. They gave me a loan car, and had the car back to me in 24 hours. They also went to the trouble of fixing a completely unrelated dent I had picked up in the meantime and did so with no charge.
Amazing service to go with exceptional quality. Top team!

This review is way OVERDUE but better late than never!
Nowadays it’s really difficult to find a good shop but Gava’s auto body offers outstanding quality work at a very reasonable price. I brought my front lip spoiler in to be painted and I was given clear and fair estimate. I know more or less what shops charge for paint and labor so I knew I was given a really good price. I went ahead decided to have them paint my front lip. I called the next day to check on the status and I was told it would take an extra day because they wanted to smooth out the imperfections. Sure enough when I picked up the front lip it was a really good paint job. The urethane material needed to be smoothed out as it had some air pin holes on prior to paint. I was impressed with the quality of their work as the finished product was completely smooth. It was probably one of my best experiences I’ve had when having work done on my car!
Here’s the real WOW factor for me. I attempted to install the front lip on my Lexus GS400 and it turned out to be more of a difficult task that required two people. I just didn’t have the patience, time, and tools to do the install. I call Gava’s Auto Body back and ask if they’d be able to do the installation for me. He said «Sure not a problem!» I ask how much, He says, «No worries, Don’t worry about it.» Understand that this was not part of our original agreement so for a shop to make time aside from their other appointments to do somethings like this to ensure customer satisfaction speaks a GREAT DEAL! Now I’ve come back several times to get multiple quotes (all fairly priced) and even though I haven’t followed through with all the estimates provided, They consistently treat me as a valued customer. They’re fair, honest, and still believe in customer satisfaction which is a rarity now days. Feels good to know you have a go to place, I would definitely recommend GAVA’s!

From start to finish, Chris delivered 5-​Star service! I had parked at Linda Mar Shopping Center around Halloween: when I finally got back to my car someone had scratched the whole left passenger door up while I had been obliviously shopping (no note, no insurance info left). I immediately called AAA & shakenly described the situation. They recommended 5 auto body shops along with Gava’s so I checked the reviews (I trust my fellow Unilocalers!) and went with Chris. Not only did he make such a nerve racking experience a pleasant as could be, but he executed the entire transaction smoothly & quickly. He even helped me out with my Hertz rental car :).
If we ever need auto body service again in the future, we’re giving Chris all of our business! I just hope that he doesn’t get too busy from all these great Unilocal!
