I can’t go wrong with this Filipino restaurant. One of the nicest Filipino restaurants in the bay area.

Totally hits the spot if you’re craving home-style filipino food! Patio is one of our family’s go-tos after traveling — we ordered Sinigang, Sisig(fish and pork) and Pancit. The service was a little slow — we were there on a Sunday around 1pm — but the food was superb! A bit on the salty side and definitely loaded with fish sauce, but that’s Filipino food for you — just load up on rice :)

I have never been to a high end Filipino restaurant. Some well-meaning Pinoy friends informed me that Filipino cuisine is a whole lotta coconut, vinegar and pork! My limited exposure to Filipino cuisine may have misled me into believing that Filipino food is rustic in nature and has often been associated with the peasantry. It is underrated, unique and definitely idiosyncratic but honest to God, they do have some really tasty dishes. In general, it is designed by the country’s past colonial history and doesn’t bear any close resemblance to their neighboring countries although Chinese influences seemed inevitable. I haven’t been to too many Filipino restaurants but I do have a negative observation. I thought only servers in a Chinese restaurant are notorious for being brusque and surly. The service in a Filipino restaurant(and Patio Filipino included) is unfortunately getting there. The servers that night were unfriendly, unhelpful and not a whole lot of fun! Bearing in mind my friend’s heads up, I made sure there were plenty of pork, coconut and sour taste in the dishes I ordered. 1. Lumpia Shanghai($ 10.50) is without doubt a Chinese legacy. I was curious if the Filipino version was any different. Nope! Just 17(yes 17) pieces of dinky egg rolls with pork, shrimps and veggies and in varying sizes. They were served with a side of Vietnamese sweet and sour Mae Ploy sauce. How unexciting! I’d give the server the benefit of the doubt they were house made as they sure looked like they came in a frozen bag from any 99 Ranch!(1⁄5) 2. Pork Sinigang($ 15.95) highlighted pork and the sour lip puckering zest of tamarind. It was an oversized bowl of soup, the sourer the better! The soup sure kept me awake but with my eyes closed! The meat was slightly fatty which was OK albeit tough and rubbery almost like chewing gum.(3⁄5) 3. Ginataang Sitaw & Kalabasa($ 12.95) was a combination of Green Beans and Squash simmered in Coconut Milk. The coconut milk was rich and creamy and looked like Thai yellow curry but without the curry spices. It only looked enticing and you would love it if you have a passion for coconut milk. It needed some other ingredients to enhance the otherwise unimaginative taste. The odd pieces of roast pork didn’t cut it.(2⁄5) 4. Tilapia Crunch($ 14.50) sounded innocent enough! Of all the dishes tonight, this one took the cake! A whole deep fried tilapia from head to tail was plated on a skinny plate with the dorsal fins almost touching the table. The fish was served dry without sauce and so it slid very easily on to the table while being dissected. When asked about the no-sauce fish, the server brought a side of soy mixed with vinegar! The fish was so dry and over-fried that the meat was rock hard and the tiny bones(and there were tons of them) pricked and bruised my mouth like needles! To add insult to injury, the only ingredients were some paltry diced tomatoes and green onions!(1⁄5) 5. Combo of Pancit Canton and Bihon($ 13.50) was an over-priced Chinese style stir-fried noodle. There were 2 kinds of noodles. One was the regular egg noodles and the other mai fun(vermicelli). Again, there were nothing memorable and you can get something similar for half the price in Chinatown.(2⁄5) I have to admit that the restaurant was fairly busy and the patrons were an all-Filipino crowd. I was dumbfounded as they were apparently enjoying their meals. But I do know good food when I taste one! It was unfortunate my cell crashed the morning after and I am unable to back up my review with photos!

Took my sister in law here for her bday… I should have not insisted but they usually have good food! Food by the way is 5 stars! But the hostess that greeted us was supper rude! Wow. I think she is the owner… wow! Needs customer service lessons! My wife and sister in laws came in first cause I was looking for parking cause it was busy and parking is skittish there… but yah they came in they were 1st… and they were seen… another party came in about 5 or so after… what was disturbing was she tried to seat them first? For me what confirmed her bad attitude was her dirty looks and seemed like she was saying something in the back ground while looking at my direction… weird cause I never had interactions with her… bad customer service just for her! Everyone else was good!

Take a trip to the Philippines without having to leave the area by dining at this family restaurant. Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 4 Cost to worth it rating: 4(Entrees ~$ 15) Return worthiness: yes!!! :-) Highlights: — Milkfish(bangus sisig): shredded, soft, and tangy with the lemon squeezed over it. My fave dish of the night. 5 stars — Crispy pata: unreal chunks of tender pork with super crispy skin. Not for those on a diet but for those who love to eat tasty food. ;-) 4.5 stars — Appetizer: huge long platter of fried shrimp, fried calamari, lumpia, and the star chicaron bulablak 3.5 stars for the plate, 5 stars for the pork — Fried custard: they took a lumpia wrapper and stuffed custard in it. Didn’t care for the chocolate covered jelly stick but the main component gets 4 stars — Soup: sweet and sour combo with veggies and huge pork chunks you have to take out of the bowl to eat. 3.5 stars — Friendly service: very welcoming in a casual atmosphere — My friends: know you won’t be able to take them with you, but I just let them order away since they had the heritage badge(kinda like me at dim sum). And they did awesome. Lowlights: — SO full!!! Felt like I was going to need to be carted off after the meal. — Couldn’t utilize the nice patio outside since it was colder Loved my authentic Filipino meal here and I’ll be back. :-)

I came here with a few coworkers since I heard this was BOMB! When we got there, I think they literally just opened. Very few people within the vicinity. However, once we were seated, people starting rolling on in. Outside was a little sketchy, but when you get into the restaurant, it was nice and modern. Due to me not eating much Filipino food at all, I trusted my coworkers judgment and had her order everything she wanted while I ordered the typical, Lumpia and Pancit. First thing that came out was the veggie lumpias! YUM! So tasty! I can’t even explain what came out next because we ordered way too many things and they were bringing them out as they were ready. We ended up ordering Sinagong, Chicken and Pork Adobo, Bistek, Fried chicken, and their famous GARLICRICE! Man, I can’t even say anything bad about ANYTHING. Everything we ate was soooooo tasty! I feel like I’ve lost half of my life for not trying all these tasty Filipino food. –_-« Anywho, we ate as much as we could and packed everything we couldn’t to take for to go. I’ll definitely be back to this place if I ever come back here. SOWORTHTHEMONEYANDSOWORTHTHEWAIT!

Yay! I’m a fan. Isn’t that what 4 stars mean? Been here multiple times. We think this maybe one of the best Filipino restaurants in the area not the best Filipino BBQ — honors goes to Fil-am Cuisine). It’s usually pretty busy, but usually can get seated quickly. We have a total of 6 peeps in the party, and that wasn’t an issue at all. Also, means we ordered a lot! Below is that list, and quick-cut-to-the-chase review. Lumpianitas — cute small egg rolls. Tasty and crispy. Always a crowd pleaser! Fresh Lumpia — the GF loved this. I’m not a connoisseur, but I thought it was good. The GF always wants this, and apparently likes this one. I think I trust her. I think you should too. Lechon kawali — Doesn’t get much better than crispy pork belly. If you don’t want to eat straight fat, I don’t recommend this. But you if want to eat something that absolutely will cause a heart attack, but maybe/maybe not worth it, here it is. Crispy Binagoongan — Favorite dish! That eggplant is savory, but feels like you are eating something healthy amongst the fried pork. That mango salsa also adds that balance to all the grease you’re eating Combo of Pancit Canton and Bihon — savory noodle dish just the right touch of salt. I could eat a bucket of it. Kare-Kare — peanut tasting stuff is not my favorite. But if you like peanutty, I’m told by my peeps that this is on the better side. Great oxtails! Bicol Express — lots of seafood/pork mixed with squash and green beans in a great yellow/coconut curry. Must have on rice. Sinangang — sweet and sour soup. Has just the right amount tamarind. Garlic fried rice — could be more garlicky. Bottom line: Check this place out. And get: Lechon Kawali and Crispy Binagoongan. Oh, and if you don’t eat pork, that’s such a shame!

My friend suggested me this place so that’s why I came to visit. I ordered the three most popular items! Crispy binagoongan, Bangus sisig for entrees. Buko con seta for dessert. The food is quite delicious. It’s actually my first time trying Filipino food. I was quite surprised by how good the food was. I like the crispy binagoongan but pork could be a bit smelly. Most people don’t smell that but I am one of the few who is very sensitive to smell. I love the Bangus sisig. The dish itself is like an art because they baked the fish on a pan. If you flip over the fish, the back of the fish looks quite interesting and cool. In terms of the dessert, I think they used taro ice cream on top of the coconut. However, the taro ice cream tastes very different than the traditional taro ice cream. Not as flavorful as the traditional taro ice cream. I actually hope they can replace the taro ice cream with better ones. The one they used taste pretty much like an vanila ice cream. :)

So many restaurants here close between 2pm and 5pm. What, I’m only allowed to be hungry before 2 and after 5? Just kidding. Luckily, Patio is open straight through on the weekends. We arrived around 3pm on a Saturday and it wasn’t too busy. We left right before 5pm and by that time our side of the restaurant was filling up. It was our first time here. Parking was either a small parking lot behind the restaurant or street parking. Luck was on our side again because we found a spot on the curb right out front. Being an import to the Bay Area, this is just another reminder to me about the importance of having parallel parking skills. Another thing I have learned here is to not always judge a book by its cover. The outside of the restaurant wasn’t too cute as you drive by, without much of a curb appeal, and it was located between Foot Dream 1 and Foot Dream 2. Too many jokes came up about that, but back to reviewing the restaurant: As we walked up, we noticed that there was a cute little outdoor patio dining area which was enclosed so my toddler enjoyed being set free to run around and play with the little fountain. Inside it was decorated very nicely, with interesting paintings and wall murals. My favorite was the bull — fighting painting, which reminds us that this is a Filipino AND Spanish place. The service was barely there at first. This is one aspect that I hope is just a fluke since, again, it was our first visit. We walked in and no one greeted us for a while, even though a couple of uniformed staff passed by us as they walked to and from each side of the restaurant. Then, instead of getting our party from the front and walking us to our table, one gentleman server in the back of the room simply waved us over to our table, which was in the middle of the room. Oh, I see. He was just trying to be efficient. We were only a party of four, which included 3 adults and one toddler, but I really appreciated that they gave us a longer table for eight. I guess they read our hungry minds and knew we needed room for food. We looked at the menu and the dishes were priced, on average, about $ 15.95 to $ 17.95. Our tall gentleman server appeared after about 10 minutes and got straight to business, «What is your order?» Then, «What about to drink?» We ordered lumpianitas, especially for our toddler who loves any type of eggroll. My Dad, who has been eating Filipino food for all his 63 years so far, highly complimented the lumpianitas. He said that they were moist and flavorful, which means that we didn’t even need the sweet and sour dipping sauce to enjoy the appetizer. Tip: Don’t burn your finger tips or your mouth because the suckers are HOT! We also ordered the menu’s highlighted dish. I always fall for it. If it’s highlighted, then it’s their speciality and it’s automatically delicious. Right? Right! In this case, we ordered the highlighted Paella Valenciana dish, a rice dish with lots of seafood and sausages, which came out family-style in a hot cast-iron skillet, to be shared by three to four people. It really was delicious, especially the scallops which were perfectly cooked, and the sausage which was very tasty and seasoned like a milder pepperoni. Price was $ 24.95 and worth it. The third dish was Krispy Kare Kare. Now this was divine because it was two of my favorite guilty Filipino pleasures(food-wise) in one: Krispy Pata plus Kare Kare. I had never had it like this before and this too was worth it. I don’t remember for sure but it was around $ 17. The service ended on a high note when our tall gentleman server disappeared for some reason, and we asked an older female server to help us with to-go boxes and the check. We asked for extra Kare Kare sauce and she gave us a full container’s worth of the liquid gold. She was also cheerful and smiley. I will definitely return, hopefully to receive better service to match the high-quality of the restaurant’s food. Next to order: Krispy Binagoongan(sp?), Lechon Kawali, Adobo Kang Kong and Leche Flan.

This one of the best places to go when craving authentic Filipino food. When I’m here we always order, Sisig, Kate Kare, crispy pata, binagongan, Bicol express. I have tried other dishes but those are the ones that stand out the most. The staff is friendly(most of the time), and when the owner is there he is super friendly and makes sure you are satisfied. When I came here with my family I was super disassociated that they ran out of their halo halo(which is always yummy), the owner was there at the time and gave us a free dessert. Why 3 stars and not 4 or 5? Well because the most recent time I came here was for take out. I had called in advance to place an order(I was 20min away) and when I came in the guy working seemed irritated, probably because the place was packed. I tried asking if I can order a halo halo today and he said all irritated«no, no we are out, we always run out». Customer service can definitely be better and managed differently when it’s a busy night. Prices are a bit high compared to other Filipino restaurants. The parking sucks a bit, if there is no street parking there is limited parking behind the restaurant, which is very questionable because the neighborhood looks iffy and its next door to a laundry mat which has a lot of questionable people walking in and out. Although customer service and parking needing improvement, I will come back probably on a not so busy day, since I’ve experienced better customer service during the afternoon hours than dinner hours.

This is one of my first places to try restaurant-style Filipino food. I’ve come twice already and the taste and quality of the food has been there each time! Hands down!. The price may be a little high, but it is a sit-down place. I’m no pro on Filipino food, so I’m only judging based on my taste buds and preferences. I had(a fried fish) Sisig, Pansit(with veggies and shrimp), a fried eggplant dish with mango, and a veggie egg patty with a side order of white rice. All of the food was fantastic! I ate until I could no longer eat! Not kidding either!. As I told some of my Unilocal buddies, it didn’t dawn on me that I could take left overs home! When I realized I only had a little left! I took it tho! . I almost forgot! I also had sangria! Fab Fab Fab! I loved it! Best and most favorite. It had the perfect amount of wine and juice. A great sangria to me isn’t strong, nor weak, but just right. If I want hard, then I’ll just have a shot, or if I want no alcohol, then I’ll have water. This was perfectly made and thought out. I even finished the fruit, which I usually leave behind, but I had to eat it because I know there was sangria obsorbed in it! I honestly don’t know how I did it eating all of that good food and drinking such a wonderful beverage… I guess that’s why I’m at the gym now. It’s alright! It was well worth it. So, I hope this helps my fellow readers! Eat away! . P. S. Sorry for all of the emojis, but thinking about all of the good food got me excited!

Because this place is the BEST representation of Filipino food I can stand by outside of the motherland!!! And trust me, I’m a true FLIP(Funny Looking Island Person) from the oldest city in the Philippines(Cebu), born and raised there(where my Bisdaks at!?! Woo woo!). Granted I moved to Maine when I was about 13ish, but still… Eating here transports me back to the simple life. It humbles me. It reminds me of Mama’s cooking, Lola’s cooking, Yaya’s cooking, homemade and authentic from-the-heart-of-my-bottom…I mean, from-the-bottom-of-my-heart Filipino cuisine. I miss it terribly. The people and the food here alleviate that yearning, even for just an hour or two. Order these and thank me later: SIZZLINGBANGUSSISIG($ 15.50) — boneless shredded milkfish topped with spices and served on a sizzling plate. *Included in my last meal on earth* CRISPYKARE-KARE($ 18.50) — fried pork shank, peanut sauce, vegetables, and shrimp paste. *food SO good you have to say it TWICE* LECHONKAWALI($ 13.50) — pork belly cutlets twice cooked and served with lechon sauce. *anything lechon in the beginning makes me want to slap a baby. wait what?! SIZZLINGPORKSISIG($ 14.50) — diced pork with onions and jalapeño pepper topped with egg and served on a sizzling plate. *as close to the real thAng from Cebu* BEEFBULALO($ 15.95) — beef shank and bone marrow boiled to tenderness with mixed vegetables. *“When I Met You” by Apo Hiking Society(Filipino version of the Bee Gees) play in my head whenever I eat this* And substitute that white rice for garlic rice. Live a little! Then wash it down with a cold glass of Mango-Calamansi juice. That drink comes straight from the fountain of youth and deliciousness and freshness and all that is awesome and liquid gold. Whenever people ask me where they could try some really good Filipino food, you already know what I always say. I’ve dined in countless occasions and it’s a shame I’ve only taken the time now to write them a well-deserved praise. Long overdue but here it is! See you soon, Patio Filipino!

My favorite Filipino restaurant by far — I haven’t reviewed it yet for who knows what reason. I wish we lived closer to Patio Filipino, I’d be here at least once a week! Some of the favorite dishes: lumpianitas, lechon kawali, sizzling pork sisig, sizzling bangus sisig, pancit canton/bihon combo, and garlic rice. Everything here is family style, so it gives me a reason to order more things than necessary haha. Patio Filipino seems a little bit more upper class, based on their décor and the way their staff dresses. We usually see the same people working even though we go every other few months, and all of their staff members are super friendly. On our last visit I also got to try their dessert(it’s a separate menu so ask for the dessert menu when you’re ready!): seasonal berry leche flan, buko pandan, and turon w/ice cream. The leche flan was good but it was unnecessary to add the whipped cream and handful of blueberries. The buko pandan was really good especially with the rice krispies — except I’m not a fan of coconut so I was okay with just taking a bite. The turon was crispy and hot, paired well with the ice cream! I’ll definitely be back and I’ll also continue to recommend the place to others who are in the SF area or in search of a good Filipino restaurant!

Two reasons led me to Patio Filipino: 1) a Living Social offer and 2) a sweet lady who works at this local market always raved about this place. That said, my boo and I had to go. First off, as a Filipino boy who grew up eating Filipino food almost every day, I’m pretty critical of how I like my classics.(Though it’s safe to say many people across ethnicity feel strongly about their culture’s traditional/comfort food dishes). I often determine how much I like a Filipino restaurant based on their sinigang(pork or beef). Patio Filipino had one of the best beef sinigangs I’ve had in years. It was packed with premium beef(with still just the right amount of fat for flavor) and delicious vegetables(onion, long beans, eggplant, tomato, etc.). For those unfamiliar with sinigang, this is a classic Filipino tamarind-based soup. It’s slightly tart and is typically most enjoyed with heaping cups of rice. Pour some of that broth over white rice and some of the meat and veggies… it’s heavenly. While the price was a bit steep for sinigang, it was worth it — both in terms of flavor and portion.(We had a good amount of leftovers!) We also heard their crispy binagoongan was worth a try. It’s quite unique in the sense that you have fried pork lightly dressed with a shrimp paste sauce. Typically, pork with shrimp paste is braised or stewed. These pork pieces were fried! Amazing. The saltiness of the pork is slightly balanced with chopped tomatoes and mango. It also is partially tucked into a grilled eggplant. I believe this is one of their signature dishes so go ahead — try it! The restaurant is marketed as Filipino & Spanish — though I personally feel the menu is heavily Filipino. And unlike the«turo-turo»(«point-point”/casual) joints where seating is limited, Patio Filipino has plenty of seating and the environment is worthy of hosting family and friends. Basically, if you’re trying to impress Filipino in-laws or maybe want to introduce a friend unfamiliar with Filipino food, I think this is a solid place to take them. I know both my boo and I want to take our families here some time since it’s family-friendly and serves up legit Filipino flavor! And again, that beef sinigang though… *daydreaming*

It’s been too long since I have had my Filipino food fix. And this was quite the fix. Portions here are big. We ordered 2 mains and an appetizer and I’m pretty sure it was enough to feed a family of four with teenage boys. Lumpianitas were delish and hit the spot. Came in a piping hot pile, which I love and the sauce was a good blend of tangy and sweet. Pork sisig was a bit on the salty side for me, but so good with rice. Sinigang was nice and sour. Also like how they used a lot of vegetables and didn’t skimp on the meat. Fall off the bone tender meat. This isn’t a good dish for first timers, tamarind isn’t for the faint in heart. They’re offering a deal on living social right now, so come! Everyone here was so nice and the ambience is really great.

Patio Filipino is the best Filipino restaurant I’ve visited in the San Francisco Bay Area. That says it all! But, mind you, I haven’t eaten at all of them. Patio Filipino bills itself as a fusion of Filipino and Spanish cuisine. That sounds kind of redundant since Filipino cuisine is often described as the fusion of Spanish, Chinese, Malay and American foods. But I think it is a «friendly» marketing device to introduce Filipino food to those not familiar with the cuisine. I normally go to restaurants to have food that I can’t or don’t have the time to prepare at home. Usually, no one prepares Filipino food better than one’s own mom, right? And Filipino restaurants that try to cater to a nonFilipino clientele will lose their base — Filipinos — if the food gets too bland and so-so. Patio Filipino has an extensive menu and has found a happy medium by reinventing traditional Filipino fare. The problem is — in my one visit — all the customers were Filipino. Apparently, Filipinos in San Mateo County want something better than what mom cooks. This is important because the restaurant is in one of the strongest concentrations of Filipinos on the mainland U.S. Daly City is a freeway exit away and San Francisco is just up the road. How can you improve on chicken adobe? At this restaurant, even the familiar chicken adobo has a nice twist. It is prepared in a dark thick sauce with plantains lending a sweetness that is normally absent from home-cooked adobo and tames the sourness, which usually takes non Filipinos by surprise. I love that the vegetables — the squash, eggplant, stringbeans — used in the kare kare and the pinakbet are not overcooked — sorry, mom. The vegetables are still firm and retain their essence. At the same time they meld into the sauce creating a mélange of something that is greater than the its individual ingredients. One of the standout creations is Crispy Binagoongan; deep fried cubes of pork with a mango/tomato salsa served in a roasted eggplant, split open to serve as a bed for the dish. My favorite dish, dinaguan, was also on the menu but to make it their own, the restaurant tops it off with grounded crispy chicharron.(I’ll order that next time.) A criticism leveled at Filipino restaurants — especially from nonFilipinos — is the lack of vegetables in Philippine cuisine. I have to admit that vegetarians would be pretty frustrated here but there are vegetable dishes and I hear that the cook will gladly use tofu instead of meat if you request it. I think the problem of those diners who want to have a more balanced meal is that that they didn’t know what to order. At Patio Filipino, the pinakbet and kare kare have plenty of vegetables. In those dishes, the meat or seafood are used more for flavoring as much as for their substance. They can be left out if you so desire. Some Unilocalers cited poor service but the time I was there, we had the best server. He was attentive, funny, respectful, friendly and informative. Just a warning: portions are large and meant to be shared. It’s easy to over-order if you’re used to the skimpy portions served at most restaurants. Don’t hesitate to ask the server about dishes you are not familiar with. If you are Filipino or are from the diverse Bay Area where food trucks serve up Filipino food, the menu may sound familiar, sigsig, adobo, paella, escabeche, sinagang, flan, soy-based marinades — but don’t expect the standard fare. 3.5 stars. I want to give this place more stars… But there are a few reasons that I cannot: — we had a large party and they forgot to bring out the bangus sisig that the other table ordered. I was unaware of this until the next day when my family told me they never got it!(too late because we were already charged for it yesterday) — there was a large wire coil that was found in the food! That is Super dangerous and could have been tragic if this would have been ingested! They gave us a free crispy pata to make up for this mistake. They also were able to take a large party at last minute! Usually they charge a credit card to hold our reservation. Luckily the woman took my word and allowed me to make the reservation without giving her my card. We showed up and they were ready to serve our large party. On my table, we ordered the following: — pork sisig(this was seriously super good. Probably one of the best that I’ve had) — Kare Kare — seafood sinigang — garlic fried rice — bagoong fried rice — crispy binagooan — paella valenciana — beefsteak — crispy pata — halo halo — turon dessert My favorites from the table were the pork sisig and garlic rice. The crispy pata was also a hit! The mango juice was also good. Since it was my birthday, they surprised me with a cup of ube ice cream(my favorite). If you’re on a diet, don’t come here. It’s really unhealthy but delicious. Filipino food is a place you come to for comfort food. You feel good at the moment but then afterwards… You don’t feel so great. That’s all Filipino food in general! I have yet to see or taste«healthy» Filipino food. Our server was great considering how many people we had. I would probably come here again for the pork sisig! That was the dish that stood out for me, and I don’t really like sisig. Perhaps the way they prepare theirs, makes theirs stand out? It was really good! For a large party I paid almost $ 600 for dinner/that included the service charge already.

3.5 stars: Patio Filipino is one of those places almost all Filipinos in the Bay Area have been to or heard of. They do their best to serve Filipino favorites and make you feel a bit fancy while doing it. I’ve had a few special gatherings here(birthdays and graduations) and sometimes the accommodations can be a bit tight and they’ll use non-traditional tables so the table levels can be a bit off or the legs could be bumping you awkwardly. It’s the Filipino mentality to always make room, so I can see where they are coming from in trying to accommodate as many people as possible. My favorite dishes are the crispy binagoonan, caldereta(although serving sizes have been noticeably smaller lately), chicharon bulaklak and the different sisigs they have. The desserts here are really good — their version of halo halo actually comes in a coconut and the beans are in a jelly. Parking is really tight in the area so you might want to drop off your family in the front and then look for parking. They do get busy, so service can be hit or miss, but there are a couple of solid servers here that I’ve always been able to flag down and assist us if things aren’t going so well. Sometimes they have someone playing piano during dinner service — he’s very good and makes dinner a bit more enjoyable.
