Reyscapes

Carlos and his team created a miracle out of our overgrown yard. They listened to our ideas and looked at our plans and ended up going above and beyond to make our front and backyard even more beautiful than we imagined it could be. They came up ideas we hadn’t thought of, while respecting our vision of a rustic, Irish look. They are honest and stayed on budget and even added a few extra things, like a proper area where my old cat had been buried for years and turned it into a lovely memorial spot for her without disturbing her. They are honest and professional with an exquisite attention to quality and detail. We highly recommend Reyscapes. We now have the storybook celtic cottage of our dreams !

Carlos and his team did our front yard. Part of the work was to dig out plants, clean up the place from weeds, and put plants back in. They raked the place, put on wire that gophers couldn’t get through, then put on landscaping fabric, and then Carlos’ team made holes in the fabric+wire to plant the plants and finally finished it off with mulch. It looked great. We loved Carlos’ father who has a great aesthetic sense of where plants go etc. We were happy but also naïve.
The main flaw here was making holes in the avery wire and putting plants in. In less than a couple of weeks the gophers underground got right to the roots of plants and started building mounds all over. Me and husband tries all tricks in the book/​we could find online but we were losing plants and the mounds were messy.
I called up Carlos to let him know. He asked to try a few things which we already had and then said he could pull out plants again, and layer the holes with the wire and put plants back in for more money, ofcourse.
Well, if he had said that the first time, we’d have been happy to go ahead. He had to have known better than to make holes in the avery wire. It defeated the whole purpose.
It would have been a clean job and we would have been happy.
Needless to say me and husband have done this ourselves and we’ve bought plants to replace the ones we lost, more wire, tools etc. It’s been a lot of work, money and frustration spent over what we shouldn’t have had to go through had Reyscapes done a good job in the first place. We also think we were naïve and had no clue what gophers/​moles were capable of, but you live and learn.
My recommendation is that if you know exactly what you want done and how you want it, Reyscapes may be a decent choice but if you let them take crucial decisions, it may not work out well.

Reyscapes did an incredible job landscaping the front of my house. Carlos took my ideas and created a look that I am completely happy with. The front yard was a mess of red and white rock, no plants, and a ton of concrete. He built a tiered retaining wall around the area, added large boulders, river rock, and drought tolerant plants. His team also redesigned a planting area along the driveway by widening the driveway and adding a concrete curb. A huge improvement over the original design; no loner stepping in the dirt to get out of the car!
My original plan was to only tackle the front yard, but after seeing the excellent work completed on my front yard, and my neighbors front/​back yard (Yes…he completed both projects at the same time) he’s now started working on a new design for my backyard.
Carlos and his team were extremely professional, performed all the work to my satisfaction, honest, detail oriented, and very talented. I highly recommend Reyscapes.

Reyscapes did a fantastic job on the landscaping of the entire front of my house. I needed the driveway repaved, the walkway changed, a new retaining wall, front porch redone and all the plants and lawn replaced. I also had the challenge of having the entire front on a hill. Carlos and his team changed the entire look of the front of my house. My neighbors have told me that they feel like they are looking at a resort when they see my place.
