Although the service remains the same, it seems every time I order the quality varies and the quantity is less and less! Every since their remodel and their«ala carte» menu changes it is starting to change the way I feel about this place. Almost seems as if they are getting greedy!

You’ll get hooked… and not from MSG! Solid food, generous, delicious, consistent, reasonable. Enough said.

Nestled below some trees in San Carlos is this little hidden gem of exquisite Chinese Food. I have been to this location a couple times before and thought the food was adequate and fairly decent but the place seemed a bit worn down. I have recently been here after their remodel and can say the place looks amazing and much more lively. As others might have mentioned they are cranking out to-go orders fairly quickly in the background. I came here to dine in and the food was amazing and the general atmosphere of the place was great as well. We ordered a couple appetizers, eggrolls & potstickers and they were all extremely delicious and piping hot fresh. We ordered a chow mein dish and a rice dish and they were both just classic great quality chinese food as you would expect from a good chinese food place. I was feeling so confident after the appetizers that I decided to order a bit beyond the usual items I typically order. I tried out the Beijing style pork and it was superb. It’s a lovely plate of pork with scallions and plum sauce. I absolutely recommend this if you’re someone like me that just loves meat on their dish with none of those extra veggies slowing you down. I forgot what the rest of my party ordered but I tried a bit of everything and it was all delicious. I highly recommend this place. It is kind of on the outskirts of where most of the restaurants are in this area which might be the reason it wasn’t incredibly packed. Definitely a new go to chinese spot for me. Check it out.

Great place for dinner. The food is unforgettable nor comparable to other Chinese foods I have ever eaten. Service is fast. Great, nice employees. This is a sure and Definite 5 stars. The best food I have ever tasted. Some recommended dishes are the general chicken, sweet and sour chicken, combination chow mein, and fried rice!!! Love this place!!! :D

Great place to eat in. Never ordered take out. Cheap prices, large portions. Friendly attentive staff and usually empty when I’ve gone. Great neighborhood and ample parking. Definitely a place to check out if you’re in the neighborhood and wanting some Chinese food. Range of dishes to order.

My coworkers and I came here for lunch and we were very pleased with the portion size of the lunch specials considering how inexpensive they were. The lunch specials have an entrée with fried or steamed rice and the soup of the day. We ordered cashew chicken, Mongolian beef, and sweet and sour pork and they gave us extra plates to share — all very tasty! The place is clean, service is good. Only complaint? We want larger bowls of soup(hot and sour today) because it’s SOOOOGOOOOD!

Came in for a carry out order was told 20 minutes, over 1 hour later I received my order. If it was not getting so late I would have asked for a refund and left. When I finally got home only 5 minutes away spring rolls so greasy they were not edible. Pot stickers were ice cold. On a positive note BBQ pork chow mien was one of the best I had in a long time. Hunan beef, and Kung pao shrimp mediocre at best. May or may not try again but the long wait and cold food was enough to to say maybe not

Amazing??? Wow, an amazing amount of food to feed you for at least three more meals!!! Came in here with a buddy and I ordered the Hunan Chicken with rice. We ordered to go. It was around 3:30 to 4:00 on a Saturday, so, it wasn’t that busy. When we got home, holy freaken cow!!! First, the rice is a little over a dollar, but they hook it up! The box looked pretty small for the Hunan chicken, but I was defeated! It felt like 2 pounds worth of food! Lots of chicken, and I mean lots of it! Zucchini, carrots, mushrooms, cilantro… so much food!!! I could not finish my plate and neither could my friend and he was drunk hungry!!! It was not that spicy, it just had a good kick. So, for 11 – 12 bucks, one can have a meal for 2 people! No joke here! Overall: Excellent food, Excellent price, Good service

I am normally skeptical of places with self-assigned superlatives in their names, but, let me tell you, the ‘Amazing’ here is on point. I had been looking all over the area for a place that makes a good Sichuan/Yuxiang style broccoli. Search over. Objective achieved. And they have these teriyaki skewer appetizers that are SOBIG. It’s 7 $-ish for«Teriyaki Chicken Skewers(4)». So I was expecting something modest-sized, maybe a bit bigger than Thai satays. But these things are BIG. Just hyooj. I weighed them(srsly) and the four of them together are 400 grams. That’s almost a POUND of chicken for 7 bucks. And the skewers are absolutely perfect. This place is so good that I now drive all the way up from Santa Clara and back every Tuesday to get that broccoli, and those skewers. And I buy a few of each, for later in the week(I’m only in the bay area two days a week). Because they are THAT good. I think we should get one 6-star rating per year. If that happens, these guys get mine.

We catered Amazing Wok via a 3rd party delivery service for my company. They do a great job, I tried the Honey Crispy Chicken Salad I believe is the title and it was YUMMY! You would think delivery might take away from the crispyness, but not at all. I thought it was a really healthy portion for the price paid. Great job overall :)

This is an okay Chinese takeout joint. I had the Szechuan chicken. I actually managed to eat most of the plate which is unusual because I usually don’t eat that much. I thought the flavor of the sauce was good and there was a lot of zucchini. The Beijing chicken was a bit weird. They were cut in such a way that it looked like a pile of brains which is not very appetizing. The flavor was also a bit off as well. They charge extra for very mediocre rice.

Decided on this restaurant based on other Unilocalers reviews. Went with a friend on a Friday night around 6 pm… no waiting at all. Food was perfect. We ordered the deluxe dinner for 2. Chicken was tender & flavorful in both the soup & entrée. Prawns in cashew prawns were also cooked perfectly. I definitely be back.

I had… –Chicken Chow Fun(~6.50) Came out very hot. Fairly Greasy. Chicken very flavorful. Generous portion. Misc Quality chairs and tables. Clean floors and tiles. One moderately-sized television, visible from 90% of seats. Shows Chinese programming. Tables seating parties of at most 8. Located in a slightly desolate part of town. South of most of the action on Laurel. Had to request chopsticks.

In general, self-proclamations of greatness really never are. This is mediocre Chinese food at best– great for take-out or a lunch. However, I’m pleased to say, the inside of this place is is clean and spacious adorned with tiles and some yellow-orange walls. I’m sure won ton soup isn’t one of their best dishes, but it was the plainest I’ve seen in a while. –nothing but wontons, some mushrooms, green onions and a bit of spinach… Perhaps, if they had a War Won Ton, I might have had better satisfaction. My bf had the shrimp with vegetables over rice. It was pretty good. I may stop through for another lunch, but it will be a difficult option to remember with so many other yummy Chinese joints on Laurel St.

I kept getting tons of coupons for this place, plus I sorta miss American Chinese food since the bay area is pretty internationalized. So I thought, why not… And there it is, an American Chinese place, with decent prices and all the familiar dishes like Mongolian beef and Orange chicken. It’s actually pretty spot on when you crave that kind of food, and won’t cost you an arm and a leg for it. Plus their meat is actually way more decent than that crappy old Chinese place I used to order from, back in the east coast, and doesn’t taste like someone tenderized it on the sidewalk ;) All-in-all, it’s worth ordering from if you have a late night, a huge party to please, or if you just miss plain old«Chinese» food.

The short review: Kinda bland Americanized Chinese food. If that’s what you like, then this place might just be for you. Location: Way at the south end of Laurel Street in San Carlos. Street parking is relatively plentiful. The restaurant seems clean and well lit but otherwise completely nondescript. They have a fairly big menu, with lots of standard dishes you see in many Chinese restaurants. Here’s what we sampled: Combination Wonton Soup — Lots of stuff in here. The meats and vegetables were good quality and well cooked. The broth was pretty bland. The won tons tasted pretty good but seemed like they’d been in the broth for a long time because they were too mushy. Chicken with String Beans — Not bad, a little greasy. Szechuan Beef, extra spicy — Kudos for this actually being spicy. Most local establishments don’t make anything spicy unless you challenge the chef. But the flavor was just okay. Beef with Tofu — Probably the best thing I ordered. Flavorful sauce, tender beef. Walnut Prawns — Overly mayonaissed, but the kids liked it. Fish Fillet Delight — The fish pieces are lightly batter-fried, which surprised me, but I can’t really argue with the results. Fresh veggies and well-cooked fish in a light white sauce — this was tasty. Vegetable Chow Mein — A little greasy, but otherwise pretty good. Service: I walked in and ordered takeout. When I arrived there were at least four people waiting for their takeout orders, and ~3 tables finishing up their meals. I didn’t actually order until the rest of the takeout customers received their food, but I was still quoted 30 minutes for my food to be ready. That number did turn out to be accurate, but I don’t understand why they needed so long to make my food when they had no one in the restaurant and there was only one other takeout customer who picked up while I waited. They were very friendly, but that’s pretty slow. So overall this wasn’t a bad experience, but there wasn’t anything here that made me want to go back.
