I have loved Blue Line Pizza since they opened in San Carlos, and I nearly order the same thing. However, the last THREE times I have ordered a cheese spinach and mushroom deep dish pizza, it has come completely stuffed with Italian sausage and no mushrooms. Tonight I even added«special instructions» saying«MUSHROOMSANDSPINACH, DONOTPUTSAUSAGEINTHISPIZZA», but it didn’t help. My vegetarian pizza came out stuffed with sausage with spinach. The staff is super good each time about either refunding me the money or making a new spinach and mushroom pizza, but using spinach and mushrooms, not Italian sausage. However, it means it takes hours and two trips to get a takeout pizza, as they have to make the vegetarian pizza first with sausage and no mushrooms, then again without sausage but with mushrooms. I mean, three times in a row? I have sadly given up and am back to Paxti’s.

I appreciate the delicious gluten-free crust pizza, and also the great service I’ve received here from several different employees. The one time there was a problem with my order, it was solved quickly and courteously. This restaurant has that«vibe» — the vibe of an establishment committed to offering great customer service.

Pizza is good. Quality control is not. Our mixed green salad to go included a lot or rotten greens. I get that this is bagged greens but the kitchen staff should ensure freshness. This is disappointing given the $ 7 price.

This was my first time eating at Blue Line and I’m happy to have found such a great place for pizza! I ordered the Hawaian-style pizza with pineapple, onions and ham & a side salad– delicious!

Hands down the best pizza on the Peninsula. I have been to Blue Line 50+ times over the past 2 years, and the pizza is always made perfectly, the servers are extremely friendly, and wait time they quote for take-out are reasonable and accurate(usually 30 – 35 minutes for deep dish, less for thin crust). The restaurant is pretty cute for a pizza place and also has nice outdoor seating. It’s family-friendly — a plus if you have little ones, a little much if you aren’t into children running around everywhere. And finally, the curbside pick-up makes it easy to just swing your car behind the restaurant to have your pizza brought straight to your window. Fun fact, this is the sister restaurant to Little Star in San Francisco, which is equally delicious.

I’ve been to the Blue Line in Burlingame and decided to try this one as well. First of all, I love the interior. This location is multileveled, which is super cool, but then again it makes it super loud. The service was good, but the food took a little long to arrive. It’s okay, because the pizza was AMAZING. I ordered the Blue Line Deep Dish and it was soooo good. The crust was my favorite, it was perfect. They also give you honey to try with the crust, nice touch. I will definitely be coming back to satisfy my pizza cravings.

Usually not a fan of foods that have a higher carb to protein ratio but when I do, it’ll have to be pizza. If it is not Indian Pizza, it will have to be deep dish pizza. Definitely enjoy coming to this place since other Deep Dish places(Zacharies for example) do not serve Wings or other side dishes. Presentation 5⁄5: Very laid back pizza restaurant. There is a very stocked bar along the bottom floor(drinks on deck). There are numerous small tables in the main room, low and high. There is a very laid back vibe here, everyone working here seems as if they commute from Santa Cruz or Huntington Beach. There is upstairs seating and a backroom(I believe) but get floor seating because no one wants to be a creeper and sit up top. Customer Service 4⁄5: Don’t get me wrong, the people here are extremely generous. But it took us a while to get another drink or even the menu. Also, we put in orders for appetizers and it was never written down. So we ended up getting it after the pizza, with top jean button already undone from food baby. Food 5⁄5: Chicken Wings — Not your typical chicken wings that you get at a pizza parlor drenched in Frank’s Hot Sauce. It is dried, very well seasoned and tasty. Must have, comes with blue cheese. Shishito Peppers — Tasty peppers but the plain yogurt dipping sauce was a weird compliment. Usually, plain yogurt is used to compliment spicy foods but these peppers are on the sweet side. Meatballs — Great dish but I should have known better to get meatballs. They come in tomato sauce and the pizza itself has a ton already. Plus, there is a meatball pizza. Pizza — We got the half Mediterranean and half meatball. Both were great and complimented one another well. Should have ordered the full Mediterranean and just cut the meatballs up and threw them over the top butt… our meatballs and shishito peppers came after we were done with our pizza. Overall, great food here. Maybe it was the time that we came in that the service was a bit weird(it was empty before we walked in and within 10 minutes, the restaurant was filled). But give this place a try, way better than the other Deep Dishes.

The gluten free pizza tastes really good. The kids menu is pretty innovative wherein they’ve stuck it behind the dry erase slate for drawing. Saves paper too! The place is accessible from Caltrain and is in the heart of downtown San Carlos. The garlic bread and pepperoni deep dish pizza is to die for! The servers are very pleasant and go out of the way to ensure that you’ve a great experience.

Thanks to the general manager we were able to give this place a second chance. And we had a much better experience than our first time. The food was good, we enjoyed our gf pizza. The wings were very tasty as was the cheesy bread. Minus one star for our first visit and minus one star for the service here. The servers socialize ALOT at this location leaving you to wait or be brought the wrong drinks. Will probably be back to try again and see if the service has improved at all as we did enjoy the food.

Blue line pizza man. It’s pretty good I will eat it any day of the week. I think what sets this place apart from the rest is the cornmeal crust. It really gives the pizza a unique flavor. I’ve been here several times and haven’t had a chance to write a review. I think a must starter is the garlic knots. They are perfectly cooked to chewy perfection with a little bit of crispiness. So good. In terms of pizza, you can’t really go wrong with deep dish or thin crust. If you are going deep dish order the meatball pizza. You will definitely feel like you are birthing a food baby after but hey. The sacrifices we make for food. The San Carlos spot is a nice place to go with family and friends. It’s casual enough for a night out with the girls or for a date. I never say no to pizza and I will never say no to blue line. There is a reason this spot is so famous in the Bay Area. Ok now I’m hungry.

This place isn’t too bad! I really liked our waiter; he’s funny and he’s kind of nervous since we asked him a lot of questions, putting him on the spot. My friend and I ordered drinks and pizza here one hour before it closed. They seated us kind of in a solitude area so we’re talking pretty loud and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Our waiter told us deep dish pizza usually takes 20 – 25 minutes to come out, which was okay. Alcoholic drinks(about $ 10 – 11 each): — it started with a b but I forgot. The drink was first on the menu list. It kinda tasted like a mojito but consisted more of cucumbers Deep dish pizza: — Classic: small size, about 9″ and 6 slices. It had italian sausage, YUM! mushrooms, onions, and green bells. The guy gave us honey to put on the crust. What an awesome idea! I loved the pizza. There’s a lot of tomato sauce on it too. Yummy and great food!

Good stuff! Had the classic deep dish with Italian sausage, onions, green bells(but no shroooms, I don’t swing that way). Very tasty, enjoyed the fennel in the sausage. The waiter suggested pouring honey on it(?!). Tried it and liked it. Would have this again but next time I think I will sample the thin crust. The crust is pretty awesome, crunchy and buttery. The small was enough for two by itself, unless you have a huge appetite.

Their meatballs are pretty good, and it’s a good location right on San Carlos Ave so on a warm night you can sit outside and people watch. The food was good, but I personally prefer Patxi’s, located just a couple blocks down Laurel. No complaints about this establishment whatsover, and they’re usually always busy when I walk by. But there was no wow factor for me here.

YAY for yummy deep dish pizza and Happy Hour until 6pm! the HH includes a few beer and wine deals but no cocktail details the small sized deep dish comes with 6 pieces so it’s good for 3 people to share PLUS you can order it half and half to try more pizzas —half classic and half pepperoni small deep dish: Really good tomato sauce held by a nice crispy crust! the crust is not too thick, not soggy, & it’s not too heavy so you don’t feel completely guilty afterwards —Garlic bread appetizer: also delicious and served with marinara to dip yum! perfect for sharing —Pinot Grigio: just okay, i guess the wine selection isn’t great —Mojito: pretty good wish i visited more when i worked around here!

Veggie options here, and they will make your pizza vegan, but the menu could definitely be clearer. The pizza was, well, it wasn’t that special. They have an OK choice of beers, but the overall experience simply wasn’t remarkable at all, and it’s hard to write anything of any consequence because of that. Wouldn’t bother to go back, too blah.

I’ve Been to this location multiple times and now after my last visit I am a big fan. Probably a 4.5 star place but upping it based on today’s meal. Today’s pizzas were cooked really well. We’ve had it before but never this crispy. We came on a thursday night after the farmers market and it wasn’t too crowded and we were able to get a seat right away. We ordered a large great white pie and the crust was nice and crispy on the outside and the pizza had a good flavor for being a veggie pizza. We also ordered the original deep dish and the crust was nice and packed with loads of cheese. So much cheese it was one of those times when you pull and the cheese just keeps coming off the main plate until you cut it. The service was good and if you have little ones ask to have an etch a sketch to keep them occupied. We got the leftovers boxed up and it still tasted great after being warmed in the toaster oven. A microwave doesn’t cut it when reheating pizza. Well hopefully this place can keep up the quality. It is possible since we came after a rush of people the kitchen staff had more time to make sure everything was good, oven less crowded etc. Hoping to keep the review at 5 and not need to lower the next time I come in.

I very rarely go out for pizza(low-carb life is dull), but after an 8 hour drive from Orange County to the Peninsula(the pretty but long way always gets me), my friend and I wanted something easy and filling. Cue curbside pick-up! The online ordering process is quite easy, although any house-special pies aren’t included. Submit your order, and 40 minutes later, pull up to their back door, call a number, and you’re driving off with a fresh hot pie. Their deep dish pizza is pretty awesome, especially their Blue Line Special. Their caesar salad is surprisingly good as well! Definitely a delicious spot.

Tried this place today for the first time and it was delicious! Luckily my friend and I went at around 3 on a week day so it was not packed at all if anything the bar was starting to get a little packed but the tables were open. I feel like even if it did get packed they did have an upstairs which I didn’t get a chance to see yet but it’s a nice spacious restaurant. We got the classic deep dish pizza … And we got a size small and they way def good enough for two people. I was stuffed with just two slices and the small comes with 6 slices. Definitely recommend this place :)

Chicken wings, thin crust, deep dish, salads, beer, wine, AND cocktails. DONE, I’m there! I’ve eaten Blue Line too many times(especially for someone whose not too into pizza like me). However, since work is close by, this place always ends up being a good pick. Highly recommend the wings and salads for my not too into pizza friends. Portions are good and food is flavorful! Just wanted to shout out who I believe is the manager. Yesterday, a group of 6 of us ordered a deep dish but apparently it fell on the floor as soon as it came out of the oven. She came up to let us know and put the pizza and two platters of wings on the house since we were all starving. Also, our waiter made sure we were good at all points and kept our drinks coming. Bravo, Blue Line, Bravo! Also, pizza recommendations? Vegetarians: white pie for thin crust Custom: pineapple and sausage thin crust Deep dish: meatball. None other. You’ll need a fork and knife for this, trust.
