Very slooooow fast food. OMG. I’m waiting for my drive thru orders and writing this while waiting. Still not done. … Finally food ready. As I continue to write this after I got my food and had a few bites, I decided to throw both the un-​crispy cod sandwich away. The spicy crispy chicken sandwich tastes like cardboard so that had to go as well. Horrible.

Worst fast food experience I’ve ever had. Just paid 13 fuckin bucks for a meal and it wasn’t even edible. Never will I waste my money at a shitty jr again

Late night back from airport need food! Was going western bacon but the lady sold me unintentionally on the el diablo. Jalapeño poppers instead of onion rings, jalapeño slices and habanero sauce? Didnt realize the last thing. It wasnt as hot as i thought but it did require that iced tea in the combo. Lets say you feel it at various points through the cycle but it’s pretty tasty. 3.5 stars

Food is good and tasty; no doubt.
The staffs working there have no discipline or work ethic. On Sunday (Feb 1, 2015) I along with my kids had gone there for breakfast. There was only a cook inside cleaning something. We waited more than 5 minutes on the counter and so did other costumers behind me. I even called the cook asking if we could be helped by someone. He didn’t hear my voice. Finally 2 girls followed by another one came hastily from behind. Since this place is kind of slow, these girls had gone outside to talk about their private life (I guess).
They all rushed here and there. The coffee pot was empty but the ladies ignored it 2 times. One of them intentionally put an empty pot making me believe that she changed it. .
I think this place needs a good supervisor.

I have gone their 2 times in the past two months. Ordered their western bacon burger bc it is usually so good and sometimes I just need one! Well, sad to say that both times now they have been inedible. The onion rings in the thing we’re just disgusting. First time burned to a crisp. I thought maybe they had a busy night and just sucked for me. But just got this second one home and I don’t even know if these things are onion rings. Hard as a rock, and the first bite just tasted disgusting!!! These must have been very old, and not taking a chance on the burger. Tried to go on their website to let them know that something must be going wrong in the evenings with their onion rings and it was a huge hassle and kept giving me an error message when submitting. So… sorry!!! But you guys need to know that something is going wrong! Also took me way over 10 mins in the drive thru. Seems like u never have enough people working in there and the window people seem frazzled and over worked.

This restaurant is very very clean. The staff and the manager have outstanding customer service. They are extremely friendly and over the top helpful.
Service with a smile is their motto. If I can give them 10 stars I would. I come all the way from Pacifica several times a week to patronize this particular Carl’s Jr. because of the excellent service they give us. The tables are clean and the floors are never sticky.
I am not afraid to use the restroom facility — it is always very clean. The staff is always replenishing the napkins and refiling the salt/​pepper. Someone is always making sure there’s enough straw and other condiments. The manager does not have to tell his staff what to do, they know their job and they all go over and beyond with their excellent service. There is a Carl’s Jr closer to where I live — but I would prefer to drive the distance to go to this one in San Carlos. I commend the manager and his staff.

Always a nice place for a stop The place is clean and The staff is friendly. The owner a older gentleman is Verry nice he often hands out teddybears to kids.
And The variety of food choices is great.

Not All Carls Jr. are created equal and this one is a STAND OUT! I only go there every couple weeks, but the manager Gabriel always remembers my order and gets it perfect every time :)) The food is great and I must admit that the service is what keeps me coming back to this locations! Thanks for all you guys and gals do!

I absolutely love this Carl’s Jr. The staff is so nice, friendly, and courteous. They bring your order to your table, try to get that kind of service at McDonalds or Wendy’s. Gabriel, the manager, is awesome. I like their condiment bar, pico de gallo with my fries, yummy. Their new fresh baked buns are so good, I like their new charbroiled Atlantic cod sandwich. Easy parking makes it even a much more pleasant experience every time. If you’re craving fast food in this area, this is a great choice.

Who knew they have sweet potato fries and fish tacos? Its good fast food, the place is clean and workers are friendly. No complaints here.

Today I went to pick up an order for my co workers. Esme was sooo great. She took my coupons, made sure we had everything. The order was perfect, she put in extra napkins, she was very sweet. Nice to see you have friendly people working at this location!

This store is clean. The employees are friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs. The manager is out on the floor seeing if you as the customer need anything. Really the food doesn’t change much from store to store. It is either made right or incorrectly. This place makes it right. If in the mood for fast food this is a good choice.

I had the best steak and egg breakfast burrito, this morning is off to a great start. One of my of my favorite stops in San Carlos because of the fast service and smiling staff.

One of the worst Jr’s I had been to. The parking lot are substandard, the service of this one lady taking the money was rude and the Green Burrito; Bean and Cheese was undersized.
Came in because I hadn’t had a Bean and Cheese for awhile. So I came in with a $ 100 and was given a dirty look because all I wanted was a $ 1.89 burrito. When I received the burrito, the thing was a lot smaller than the other Jr’s I had gone to.

We go here every Wednesday night after my class, and get the same (with few exceptions) every time: The Portobello Mushroom burger. It is juicy, tender, flavourful –always a win!
The people who work there are always nice and the smell of burgers and fries lingers in my hair and clothes all night long, reminding me of why I go to Carls Jr.

5 stars because the service is great here and the food is a higher end of deliciousness over other fast food joints. Carls Jr. has the best fried zucchini and criss cut fries. They are flavorful and greasy enough to survive reheating. Their burgers are a little pricer than other places but well worth it. They are now in direct war with Mc Donalds and featuring a Big Carl for 2.50… it’s a double cheeseburger with yummy sauce, cheese and the lettuce fixings. It’s a good size for the price. I really like that their burgers are as sloppy as shown in the commercials. Carl’s is know for this so expect a mess. They wrap their burger to prevent spillage. However, being messy can be fun at times… unlock your inner child and go ALL OUT why don’t you.
Last order and just about 27 bucks later, ps. i used coupons:
2 friend zucchini with extra house dressing — cold — it’s the best ever
2 crisscut fries
1 double teriyaki burger w/​extra sauce
2 big carl burgers w/​extra sauce
1 portobello mushroom six dollar burger w/​extra sauce
1 guacamole bacon six dollar burger w/​extra sauce
Messy like a pig rollin’ in the mud… I went through napkin after napkin and had to basically disinfect my face after due to juicy burger fixin’ streak marks all over the place. It was intense. Why are Carl’s Jr. burgers so good??? They are charbroiled. The meat patties are not tiny and have a great flavor. They are good sized and their speciality burgers packed with toppings. They do not skimp on sauce and are complete mess when eating. They are not for the dainty or faint at heart. Anyone who wants to get their true grub on and pay a few extra bucks for it should go to Carls Jr.
This location is slow… I will admit that but they are worth the wait. They are customizing your order so be patient.
They also have a Green Buritto here which I haven’t tried.
Their fried zucchini get me everytime though… I think I could eat a dozen orders of them at once they are that yummy. Crap, now I want some.

This is probably the best fast food experience on the peninsula. I work live near 2 different Carl’s and I drive about a mile extra for this location.
The manager is a great customer service guy without ever being pushy. He seems to remember every regular customer’s name, as well as what their preferred order is. He is genuinely enthusiastic about the Carl’s menu and doesn’t mind giving you more info or helping you decide. Still, he doesn’t waste time, when it gets busy he is helping out all over the place to make sure everyone gets their food. His employees are equally pleasant.
There is an additional bonus, this location is attached to a Green Burrito. I don’t care for the Green Burrito items (plenty of cheap Mexican in RWC) but there is a full condiments bar. I can turn a crispy chicken sandwich into a jalapeño salsa masterpiece, if I feel like it.
The guys at Carl’s corporate should hear this story: today a new customer came in, she asked whether the Green Burrito standard burrito was good, but she sounded skeptical. The manager described it to her and guaranteed it would be tasty. After he took the order, he told the cook (in Spanish so the customer wouldn’t understand) to make it «extra pretty.»
In addition, this place is a bit cleaner than the other Carl’s, or other nearby fast food locations for that matter.
