Janet and her team are very caring and compassionate, and handled my consult exceptionally making me feel at ease at a time I was feeling very vulnerable. Once I selected my wig, the stylist took the time to ask questions and look at pictures of how I liked my hair styled before I lost it. I get compliments on MY hair constantly. While at the hospital for a routine visit, my nurse approached me and did a double take discreetly asking if my hair was my own. She didn’t think I was her patient as her patients didn’t have hair and was sure it was my own. When I need to take it in for a touch up, Esther is very flexible and accommodating and always works with me to schedule a convenient time for me to drop it off and pick it up. I am very satisfied and happy with my investment, I have a renewed sense of confidence and would recommend Hair Replacement by Janet to everyone!

I have had much better experiences with wig/topper stylists. To get the right piece requires a stylist who takes the time to look at your hair and ask you what you’re looking for. This place focuses more on just selling you a piece. The sales manager did most of the talking, not the stylist. The website is also misleading as the owner, who is the one with experience, is apparently no longer seeing new clients. If you’re spending thousands of dollars and it’s your hair(!), you deserve to get service that is focused on your needs. After driving 2+ hours and paying for a consult, I was disappointed in the service provided.

Don’t waste money and time here. There are many other hair replacement places with better products and customer service that deserve your business. I found this place online and made an appointment to try some toppers and possibly find a solutions for my very noticeable hair loss. They were very rude and I think it was the owner who kept pulling my hair. when I put my hand on my head to prevent hair breakage, she said very rudely that I was hurting her fingers. No compassion for clients at all. She keep coming back in the room and telling her staff to cut it short. If they had clients waiting, I could understand. But there were three of them and no clients. These people will not only ridicule you, but will also try to rip you off. The Follea topper they were trying to sell me for $ 6000 had a retail price tag of less than $ 2500 on the original Follea website. Not only that, I was charged $ 50 for consultation while they have a sign when you walk for $ 25 consultation. I went to use the bathroom in the back and when I came back, the sign was gone. They hide the sign and thought I didn’t see that. I asked the receptionist about it and she said very rudely that I was told $ 50 over the phone and agreed to pay $ 50.

The wigs, fitting and styling are very good, but the service is severely lacking. It’s a shame because so many people come here at a particularly vulnerable time. Just come prepared for a little attitude and you will be ultimately happy with the product.

The best one on one private consultation I’ve had. I called and they set me up with an appointment two days later. When I came for my appointment I was greeted and offered jasmine tea, the staff is very friendly and they made me feel very comfortable and they are very honest and helpful. I went forth with my hair extensions and I love them.

I took my grandmother to Hair Replacement by Janet. My 93 year old grandmother has been losing her hair from age and medication reasons. Janet and her assistants were fabulous with my grandmother needs and desires for her new wig. When making the appointment, a few short questions were asked about the type of wig my grandmother wanted. Our appointment was efficient and professional; my grandmother is very happy with her wig. My grandmother states that the wig is light, comfortable, and natural feeling. The wig reminds her of how she use to style her natural hair. I must mention, Janet and the staff were very nice and caring. Thank you Janet and staff for your help with my grandmother’s wig!

I purchased a wig from Janet right as I started chemo. No one know’s its a wig! My doctor’s, nurrses and even my family are all astounded at how natural it looks. They clean and style it for me. I couldn’t be happier! Yes, it’s expensive, but having«good hair» durning this difficult time is worth it!!!

The Susan G. Komen for the Cure estimates that each year some 220,000+ new cases of breast cancer are reported in the US. Drafting women of all ages, sizes, and race into«Pink Warriors» who now face a life threatening disease and are now in a fight for their lives where there are many, many battles, and no rules. Several years ago my mom became one of the 220,000+, a Pink Warrior of exceptional hue. Ready to fight for her life. Chemotherapy is a treatment option for cancer sufferers with nasty, nasty side effects. One side effect my mom experienced was losing her beautiful long hair. One morning, shortly after she started chemotherapy it fell out in clumps. For the first time, my mom felt like she looked like a woman with cancer and decided that she wanted to get a wig so that she would have a better feeling of some normalcy. She went to Hair Replacement by Janet in San Carlos and was extremely glad that she did. Janet, a cancer survivor herself, knew exactly how my mom was feeling and was very patient, and helpful in understanding what my mom was going through and what her needs were. In fact, the entire staff, specifically Rachel and Ester were also very helpful, kind, and understanding. My mom continues her fight, but gets support and strength everyday from people and places she never expected. Hair Replacement by Janet in San Carlos, CA is a place for much more than quality wigs. Its a place for strength, courage, support and understanding because woman like my mom are looking to buy a wig(s), but are also looking for so much more in that difficult purchase. Janet gets that. My mom feels that.

My mom recently started chemo and I called to learn more about this store because she’d like to purchase a wig. The woman who answered the phone was terribly rude and condescending, refusing to give me their store hours or even describe how to start the process in working with them. I’ve never encountered a situation with a small business that was as quick to scare away new business as this place.
