Got ditched twice for an appointment (once in the morning, then afternoon on another day). Seriously, don’t waste your time on them. They’ll ditch you.

I had a scheduled estimate with JT which he missed. After calling and texting him he calls me back 60 min after our scheduled time but I didn’t pick up.

JT from ML Construction gave me a reasonable, fair and efficient bid for a interior remodel. He was fast, on-​time and completed all the work as described. He re-​tiled a kitchen, 2 bathrooms and laid laminate flooring throughout the remaining interior of the property. He also painted the entire interior. JT completed the job within the estimated time frame and cleaned up after himself. I have recommended him to several others who have all been happy with his work. Thanks JT!

I hired Jelani Anderson (JT) owner of ML Construction to epoxy my garage floor for 425.00 — much more than other quotes, but JT said he was a licensed professional who’d done this many times. He didn’t prep the floor properly. (After he came to clean, I wiped up puddles he left on the floor and noticed it was still very dirty. He refused to come back, so I re-​cleaned it myself.) He didn’t use proper tools. He used masking tape instead of painters tape saying it works just as well. It doesn’t. (see picture) He applied 2 coats but didn’t wait long enough between coats. His shoes pulled up the first as he was applying the second coat. Worse of all, he left my garage two toned (see picture). I noticed the color difference immediately (before paying him) but JT said that the paint was just drying and it would dry the same color. It didn’t. When I called JT back he said «that’s not my problem.» He would be happy to repaint it, but I would have to pay him again. In short, JT is a good salesman but he cuts corners in his work. He masquerades as a professional who will take care of the job, but he just does the bare minimum and if a problem arises, he will not take care of it. (Unless you pay him more!)
