Pamela Cantor’s Corrective Skin Therapy

I just had a facial with Pamela Cantor, and it’s the best I’ve had! I have oily skin, and she was very knowledgeable about what to use on my face. I’ve had a lot of facials in the past and tried a variety of things (microderm abrasion, light therapy, peels, etc.). She used micro-​current on my face, and my skin felt tighter (and my wrinkles lessened) after just one facial. I’ll definitely be going back!

Pam is the best! I have had acne for almost my whole life, various types, as my skin changes, and I am able to see Pam when I am in town (I see her every time I visit the Bay) she always gives me a great experience, with results and I love my skin… it took a little time to «purge» but now it’s looking stellar! Wish I lived closer :)

Pam has an extensive background in Aesthetics. She wants to help you with any skincare concern you may have. If you work on your end of the maintenance program and at home care, you will get wonderful results. Pam has been my Mentor for 10 years and I have learned so much from her skills. Her knowledge is endless and her manner of conveying it to you is like having a Professor of Skincare at your service. If you are in need of a real skincare professional, go in to have a consultation and you will be amazed. She is not mediocre but the best in her field because she chooses to educate herself on an ongoing process. She truly loves her profession and it shows in the amazing before and after pictures of her skincare clients and successes. I highly recommend going to her.

Pam is GREAT. She is incredibly thorough and goes above and beyond with her work. I go to Pam for acne. Before my first appointment, she had me fill out a few forms so that she knew what medicine or facial products I was currently using. She does her research on each product you use and goes over it with you when you meet. Her facials are great as well. They are not relaxing, spa facials. They are facials that are meant to make your skin healthier. She also takes all things into consideration. In my case, I am trying an internal and external route to helping my acne. The internal (natural) way also avoids the unnecessary strong antibiotics that your pill –pusher dermatologists will have you take. She also does not push you into purchasing products from her. You will learn LOTS about your skin type and will see improvement if you stick with her.

I am 58 and was looking for a clinician who could educate me about best ways to slow down the aging process and provide a nice facial experience. Pam does both so well! Although she has been in this business for over 20 years, she is a constant student of the latest products and services to improve your skin naturally. She is very thorough and will ask all kinds of questions to determine what changes can be made to improve your skin. Pam provided a two page anaylsis of the current products I was using, good and bad. After two facials with her and lots of education from her, I feel, for the first time in my life, I have a good plan in how to take care of my skin. And, my skin looks great too! She’s very talented!

I don’t really write Unilocal reviews, but my facial today with Pam was unlike any I’ve had before and so I decided it was well worth my time to hop on Unilocal and rave for a bit. Pam is a clinician. This isn’t a facial where you’ll snuggle up and doze while luxurious, yet worthless creams are spread upon your face. Instead, Pam provides a plethora of knowledge about skin, its various conditions, and really takes the time to get to know you in order to better understand your skin. She’s worked with some of the leaders in the skincare field and man, it shows. She knows her stuff. She uses an intake form, to give you a sense of seriously she takes her work and how deeply she delves in order to provide great care for your skin.
I’ve struggled with my skin for years, nothing too terrible, but it’s never been perfectly clear. I left with a glow today that even my husband, who never comments on this type of thing, noticed. I’m looking forward to whatever Pam decides will work best on my skin. Which is another thing – I can’t remember the last time I’ve left a facial and not had products pushed on me. Knowing that Pam will take the time to craft a plan and choose specific products to work on my skin specifically, and will contact me once she’s decided on this, is awesome.
I’m so glad I listened to fellow Unilocalers in selecting Pam. Now I just hope that she doesn’t get too busy based on all her rave reviews!

If I could give Pamela 10 starts I would. She has been a blessing for me. I came to Pamela to try to get my skin in top condition for my upcoming wedding (I have bad acne, scars. you name it I got it). I was so tired of putting on pounds of foundation and taking antibiotics. so I tried something new. an acne facial.
I have seen many dermatologists and other estheticians,.and had really given up hope until I met Pam.
Upon meeting her, I immediately knew she knew what she was doing. she knew all the books about acne, the treatments. the failures of OTC products etc. she was a pro. Long story short… best facial ever. Two months later, my skin is clear and radiant and I am a very happy customer!

Pam is very knowledgable and will spend the time working with you to determine the best needs for your skin. She knows how to really pamper and my face is absolutely «shining» afterwards. She is always keeping up with latest technology and research. If she doesn’t have an answer for you, she will research and find the answer to your question. Pam also supports the community with her talents. She is a strong advocate of skin health and skin cancer prevention giving many volunteer hours with the American Cancer Society.

Pam wants your skin to be the best it can be, and she’ll do her best toward that aim when you visit her at Ravisante. There’s a lot to be said for experience, and Pam could have written the book on skin care, graceful aging, all that. I’ve trusted Pam with my face & toes (& lots in between) for many years. Great location in downtown San Mateo. Park in the nearby garage or on the street (bring quarters).

I have been going to Pam for my skin care since she started in San Mateo last year. She has a vast knowledge about skin and is always researching new procedures and products. She gives a very relaxing facial and massage and tailors them to skin type. She also does not push products which is also refreshing. If you want advise on products she certainly guides you to products that will give you more «bang for the buck»
I will certainly keep going to Pam for my skin care needs.
