These guys are the real deal. If I can’t do the work myself, I take it to Steve and crew. I trust them implicitly with my 500hp 1965 Corvette. No matter how complex, or strange the problem, they seem nonplused, and just handle it. They are also very helpful when I need to diagnose and fix a problem myself. They do it all, bumper to bumper. If they can’t fix it, its either not broken, or it’s unfixable. Great guys. Can’t say enough good things about their professional work.

To make a long story short I had a small crack in my aluminium crossmember that I needed to have welded. So I called these guys up a a couple weeks ago. They told me to send them an email with pics of the damage and said they would call me back. 3 days later and still no call. I give them a call again on the 4^th and they say that their welder will get back to me within the hour… again I wait another 2 days and still no call. I make a final call to see whats going on and as soon as some one answered I was put on hold for 10 minutes, nobody ever answered… bunch of monkeys running that place. Dont bother. With those business practices you will eventually go out of business

I bought a ’65 GTO 4spd HT last summer and have been working on it ever since to restore it’s original factory condition together with period correct upgrades. I brought the goat to PF on a referral from a trusted old friend of mine and man am I glad I did.
PF replaced my front ball joints, all front suspension rubber bushings, completely detailed and repainted the upper & lower control arms, replaced springs all 4 corners, pulled my 12-​bolt posi rear-​end and completely detailed & repainted it (including removing and detailing the rear brake drums separately) and repaired a brake system leak. Steve and Kurt are great to work with. Kurt professionally managed my work order as a joint project with me providing sound advice, options and cost quotations along the way.
In the end, I came away very satisfied with the final work completed particularly the quality and workmanship of the chassis detail work. The front and rear suspension final appearance exceeded my expectations. To us car guys the look and feel of the under carriage is just as important as the look of the body or the engine compartment. Thank you again Performance Fabrication, I look forward to continuing the work with you guys as we resurrect my ’65.

These guys are FABULOUS! They were recommended to me by Ruben Flores at A-​1 Spring in Oakland over 10 years ago now. I had a mini-​van that was customized into a lift van, because my little boy was in a wheelchair. While in Georgia, I was getting my vehicle serviced at a shop that was having me bring the van in around every 6 months for a complete new set of brakes, because around that time they would start squealing. They would get me for rotors as well, because they said that the weight of the van was causing me to rip through brake pads and tear up rotors like nobody’s business. Steve looked at the vehicle and told me that there was no way that van was going through break pads and rotors that fast. He put some good quality brake pads on the vehicle and I didn’t have to replace them for years. I sold the vehicle without ever having to replace them again. After that I moved out of the state. My daughter remained in the area however, so when she bought a little car sight unseen from a friend, I sent her to Steve. The car condition was much less than she had hoped it would be, but for a reasonable price, Steve gave her back a vehicle that was not pretty, but was roadworthy and completely safe to drive. Finally, even though I live in Pebble Beach, when I needed an honest opinion last week on whether or not my 1992 Miata was worth salvaging, I had that puppy towed to Performance Fabrication. They looked over the engine and had someone look over the bodywork that needed to be done and then, rather than try to take me for a bunch of money, they informed me that it would not be worth it to repair. Now that car had very sentimental value and the guys at Performance Fabrication were very compassionate about it, but after even scouting to do the repair with used parts, they advised me against paying for the repairs. How’s that for honesty?! In spite of the fact that these guys work on super high end vehicles all of the time, they took the time to make sure that a little boys’ wheelchair van stayed in TOP running condition, a college student’s Hoopdie was safe enough for her to drive, and that I didn’t waste money investing more into a car to repair it than it would ever be worth. It makes me sad to lose the Miata, but if Performance Fabrication says it is a wash, I know to let it go! I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Steve and his guys have worked on two of my cars. Others have commented on their craftsmanship and engineering excellence so I’ll just add that at Performance Fabrication doing what is right seems to be the only way. Not just technically, but ethically and personally. Steve and his crew are genuinely committed to helping each customer, big-​buck or budget, with honest advice, beautiful work, and fair prices.

Steve and his crew converted my ’55 Chevy into a drag race car about 18 years ago. I still get comments on what a great rollcage they put in; and their rear suspension/​differential install (ladder bars with coilovers) was top notch. Great work by great people.

they have built a car that is in the running for breaking the world land speed record and as of now, they are in the process of making it «go faster»…can they deal with installing a fuel pump and filter on my truck? um… yes! not only did they do an awesome install, they even fabricated up a filter guard to protect the product that they installed and it is running perfect.
they took the time to call me half way through the install and explain what was going on and what they were doing, and they even diagnosed and fixed a smaller fuel problem that i was having and didn’t know about. they were right on target as to what the project would cost and were super friendly and honest as always…
my dad and i have brought vehicles here in the past and they have always done amazing work and if they are not too busy they may even let you walk around their shop and drool at their projects. they will take on projects from unlimited budgets, to simple fixes and installs, and treat every project with the same importance.
if you care and value your vehicle, bring it here and it will be taken care of by the best of the best…

This is the only place I’d take my ’78 Camaro to, and the crew at Performance Fab has been taking terrific care of my Mom’s ’78 Z28 for over 15 years.
Not only do they do terrific work, but they’re incredibly honest. They really know their way around older cars from the front grille to the exhaust pipe and everything in between.
If your older car is running on the rough side, they’ll have it purring again in no time!

I brought my 83 monte carlo here a few months ago and before these top notch mechanics touched it, it was running crapier than a geo metro! after i picked up my car from thier shop, i felt as if my car was a nas car race car!!! Nothing but good advice and help from these guys! they are my ONLY mechanics from now on!!! they do it all, from installing a simple hose to full out race car! they will get the job done the first time and RIGHT! no need to ask for one person, they ALL know their stuff!!!
