Pet Food Express

I stopped by after work today in search of a healthy and new dog food for my little furbaby. First off, I was greeted super warmly, and they answered all of my questions in regards to my own dog’s health, his preferences, and his overall history.
One young woman working there in particular helped me take a look at her top three recommendations for my young beagle. I’m so sorry I’ve forgotten your name! However, thank you so much for answering my endless questions and pretty much giving me a tour of the store! (It was my first time, and I’ve only recently adopted my dog — first time dog owner btw!!)
I purchased the Chicken-​flavored Kasiks, which was $ 12.99 for a 5lb bag, and I also purchased two chewy sticks to keep as a treat for my dog once in a while. I’m blown away by the 10 000% awesome customer service! Also, the woman helping me also told me that if anything didn’t meet up to my expectations, I could always return any product, even if it was opened, for a full refund.

This is a Pet Food Express located in the Lucky Supermarket shopping complex. It feels a bit smaller than some of the other PFE stores and I didn’t see any permanent kitten/​cat adoption sites but it’s still nice. There’s plenty of parking here and you can also get your pet (probably dog) washed too.
Their buy three get one free for canned foods (same brand) still applies of course.

Came to give our puppy a bath after spending the day in Half Moon bay and had the best experience here with Josh! He though is so much and gave us the best advice about raw food, traveling with dogs and bathing puppies!!! Thanks!!!

Exceptional customer service. Store conveniently located near freeway. Open seven days a week. Staff sincerely wants you to be happy with all their products, and they want your pets happy as well. Truly as good as you’re going to find in retail. Five stars +++ !!!

This is a very nice, well organized pet store with a friendly and helpful staff. I enjoyed going here when I lived in the area and met lots of beautiful dogs while browsing. What I appreciate about the staff is their knowledge of animals and of their products. No one pushes a sale but when you have questions, they always give a satisfactory answer. I miss the atmosphere and this is probably the best pet store I have ever been in. Sure, Pet Food Express seems to be pricier than the others but you pay for quality and that is what they give you. Great manager and assistants! Had thought about bringing my Husky in but he probably would have done something embarrassing and I would not have been able to go back…

This store and the staff that works here are the absolute best! Each and every time I’m in there the staff helps carry out the multiple bags of dog food… I don’t even have to ask! Good Customer Service these days is rare to come by… but, these folks are great!
This afternoon I went to use their Pet Dog Wash services… AMAZING…super clean, the tubs are great. The best thing is that the shampoo comes right out of the hose (and, you have your choice of shampoos) then you turn the knob and it goes to the rinse mode… the water pressure is fantastic… and, the temperature stays the same throughout the bath… then they give you towels to dry your pet. I LOVE this place and, I will be going there from now on. I have to give a «shout out» to the gals that were there today… they showed me exactly how to operate the whole thing, were super helpful and friendly… Judy, Monica and Janessa… Thank you all. And, Judy… you are always delightful!

There are few businesses that I’m so passionately positive about. As a new puppy owner, I’m at this store every couple of days. Every single employee there is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. It’s the polar opposite of Petsmart.
Judy in particular has practically become a friend and we have lovely chats every time I go in. And their return policy is icing on the cake. I can’t say enough good things about this company. I just wish more businesses were run this way.

I use to come to this Pet Food Express to bath my dog but decided to switch over to the closer one in Belmont. However the Belmont store doesn’t keep their dog washing area as clean so I’ll be making the extra drive coming back. The staff in both store are really friendly but this store is much cleaner.

Great customer service! Each time I walk in to San Carlos Pet Food Express My puppy and I greeted by there friendly staff!
As a new dog owner they have made my weekly visits so wonderful. Each staff member is so helpful with tips pointers and product knowledge. My vet even told me that the members of this store are very knowledgeable every single time she has visited!

Friendly staff and the self washing area accommodates large dogs as you can tether them to the ring on the ground level. There is a drain in the middle of the wash room so its one big tub!

Had an excellent experience today at Pet Food Express. We adopted an adorable Corgi/​Dachshund mix from Copper’s Dream this afternoon, but didn’t have any puppy supplies at all. So we took him over to Pet Food Express on our way home.
The staff there really helped us out, going through everything we would need and what the options were. They asked all the right questions (what kind of food, etc.) and were good enough to clean up after him when we found a few choice spots to relieve himself… We’re now fully outfitted for dog ownership! No pressure to buy anything expensive. We totally did not expect this great of an experience, but I would send all of our friends here.
Friendly staff and you can get everything you need here for a good price. Highly recommended!

This place rocks! The workers are super helpful and fun to talk to. No attitudes and crappy service here. Their store is clean and organized well. I’ve bought a sturdy cat tree here and cat toys over the last year. They are a bit pricey, but I come for the service which is great.
I also had a groupon for an indoor cat vaccination package with VIP Pet Services. Their mobile pet care van stops here on Sunday afternoons. You can get pretty much any vet service you need here. The girls working for VIP Pet Services were super helpful and my kitty received his shots quickly, and painlessly (well painlessly for me at least). I would highly recommend them if you need lower cost vaccinations.

This is my second visit to Pet Food Express to ask for advice on the care of my pooch who’s not been reacting very well to his food lately. Both times, the staff members were extremely helpful. In this most recent visit, I made a food purchase based on their advice and the staff threw in some complementary items that they felt would help. They said that if for any reason my bud doesn’t like or respond well to the food, then they would fully refund it.
I’m really impressed with the high quality of the food sold here, that their premium products are better priced compared to other local chain and mom and pop stores, that the staff really knows their products, and that they offer a money back guarantee on their food.

I love this place!
TIP: I always buy 3 of the largest bags of dog food so I can get the 4^th free. This works for everything, even the expensive Zuke’s glucosamine treats. It’s substantial savings. And most of the time, if they only have 3 bags on the shelf, you get 30% off, which is fantastic. This place is always clean with friendly workers.

I love coming to this location! The staff is always friendly and pretty knowledgeable about most of the products they carry. I haven’t used the bath stations but they always appear to be clean and well kept. That gives them 5 stars in my book!

We go to Pet Food Express quite frequently to purchase our supplies but mostly to use their bath stations which are equipped with all that you need to give your dog a great spa day!
The stations are elevated so there is no more back aching from bending down or chasing your dog around with the water. Then there’s the potential of plugging up your drain at home with the fur/​hair. At PFE you don’t have to worry about any of this. The stations are equipped with towels, leads, shampoo (to include flea/​tick baths), conditioners and dryers. Plus warm water so your best friend doesn’t get doused with cold water.
The employees are super friendly and helpful. Often they’d come in to check on you and even bring your pet a treat. There’s always plenty of parking here and the spaces are large enough for me to pull my truck in without getting close to any other vehicles.
Being a hunter and having my dog out on the field, it’s great to stop here on the way home to get them cleaned up so that they don’t track the mud and dirt into your home. After a day in the field our dog wants to just kick it on her big comfy bed.

First off, PetSmart is down the street. PetSmart employees don’t know the food brands or details about the food.
At Pet Food Express they’ve got all the organic, grain free, soy free food products. My dog is so picky, she gets tired of her food-​the good brands (Lotus, Natural Balance, etc) quickly, so I keep having to change brands– and PetSmart doesn’t even carry these types of brands!
Employees super friendly and helpful.
Buy 3 cans of wet food get 1 free! deal! Plus they always have stuff on sale– 50%, like clothes and beds.
Saturdays in the afternoons the mobile vet is available in the parking lot.

Pet Food Express as a whole is a top notch business, but I am particularly impressed with this location! It is directly across from Home Depot and there is always plenty of close parking.
I come here to get Lotus brand dog food, because they have a buy 3 bags, get the 4^th free deal on it. I have never had to spend more than 4 minutes in this store because the service is so great. I am always immediately greeted by a super friendly employee when I walk in the door and they always grab me a cart, load it for me, and then help me load the food into my car. The one time that they were short on stock and only had 3 bags, they adjusted the deal and gave me the 3^rd bag free.
I’m sold, and you should be too. :)

Love this pet store, my dog even loves going into this store which is saying a lot since my dog is scared of everything.
Staff is always friendly, helpful and know their pet food. Last year I found out that my dog has a food allergy to grain based food and didn’t know what to do. The staff at Pet Food Express directed me to a good and reliable brand dog food that has cured the GI problem for my puggle.
I also like how they have a variety of high quality dog treats, toys and bones. They also have good prices.
