Delicious cider, friendly/local owner, and a great atmosphere. Will definitely come back!

That just made my whole weekend. I’m a colossal lightweight and couldn’t even make it through the whole flight, but each of the three ciders I tasted were unique and equally delicious. Going back. Bringing friends. Yum!

I’ve gotta admit, I’ve never been a fan of the bottled, super sweet cider you find in supermarkets and liquor stores. It gave me horrible heartburn and felt like a waste of time. That is, until my wife and I discovered REDWOODCOASTCIDER. It’s a small tasting room, only been open about a month. For now– open for tastings on Saturdays from 5−11pm(though, I suggest getting there as soon as they open because the cider goes fast!) We tried the Biker’s Chard– light in color, no crazy sweetness which I totally appreciate, and had a good 6.9% ABV which gives a lot of beer a run for their money! Oh yeah, and it’s gluten free! I’m totally down for supporting small businesses and we’re definitely fans! Shout out to Gabe for educating us on all things cider! We cannot wait to go back next week and try the other ciders!

Sweet new cidery located in San Carlos. They are currently open for pours on Saturday(CiderDay) from 5PM-11PM or earlier if they’re out. They had a few ciders available when I went in — and they’re definitely not your average ciders. I think I got the Coastal Cruiser(?) when I went and it was pretty tasty. It’s surprisingly difficult to finish a whole pint of cider when it’s not in bottle form. Idk, it’s definitely just me… x_x. But either way, it was good and I finished it haha. I forget how I found out about Redwood Coast… it might’ve been through Blue Oak’s FB page. I believe Redwood Coast shares the super pretty and new taproom with Blue Oak Brewing — but I don’t think they’ve completely moved in yet? Both craft brewers are awesome though and I can’t wait to see what both have installed. San Carlos needs more breweries and cideries! I hope to come in on another CiderDay!

I checked out Redwood Coast Cider last Saturday(or on ‘Ciderday…get it??) and it was awesome. Note, this isn’t the cider you would normally get at Safeway or something and instantly get a sugar-headache; no, this cider is crisp and refreshing! They’re working on small batches now to see which ones are the favorites to add to their menu, so there’s always something different. They told me that they will be having a holiday spice flavor soon so I will definitely be back to check it out! I’m also thinking a growler of fresh cider would make an awesome gift for the holidays. So glad this place is open! 5 stars!

Great cider and a great, small business addition to the area. I don’t drink a cider normally, but this place turned me on to it. It’s also gluten free and locally sourced! They are located walking distance to Caltrain and downtown San Carlos! Location can’t be beat. Get out and support them!

I really love Redwood Coast Cider! I usually can’t drink cider here in the states because it is wayyyyy too sweet! Redwood Coast’s cider is like biting into a fresh apple-a fresh apple that just so happens to get you drunk. It is by far the best cider I have had. The taproom is beyond beautiful which is just an added plus.

I’m not the biggest fan of cider. Usually it’s way too sweet for me. Cider is something I drink in the morning when I’m hung over. Redwood Coast Cider, on the other hand, is fabulous. The tap room is awesome as well. Their bar looks like a giant strip of bacon! Which I love. But maybe that part was accidental, I think the owners are vegetarians. The atmosphere is awesome as well. Good people pouring good cider. Why go anywhere else!
