The Studio

I have been going to the STUDIO in San Carlos for 20 years. Maria has been my stylist 99% of the time. She is such a professional and pays so much attention to detail. She is dead nuts on the color she creates, and has a great eye to blend perfectly every time for this old guy. Maria wants to make sure I look the best possible for when i return home to our pet and my wife. She additionally will readily obliterate those rogue facial hairs that I don’t obviously see.
Great place that goes out of the way to accommodate the customer in any way they can. I like to refer to them as CHARLIE’s ANGELS.

I was looking for a new salon and a co-​worker suggested I try this place. I looked at the reviews and was impressed, so I called. I made an appointment for that afternoon with Chela and I am so glad I did! Chela is sweet, does a great job and is fast! My hair was out of control when I walked in, by the time I walked out I was rocking a beautiful new do! She listened to what I wanted, didn’t take off more than we agreed on, and gave me a cut I can easily manage that works with my wavy hair that I mostly wear straight. Her prices are very reasonable and the salon is cute with sky lights to let natural light in. What a great find!

I got introduced to this place from my cousins & Aunt. She does an amazing job for what you pay! Chela is the BEST! She can definitely deal with «Poly Hair!»

Chela has been doing my hair for maybe 15 years. She now own the shop. She is not only good, but tries to accommodate my schedule. Besides goods, she is fast. Love the place.

I guess I should begin by saying, yes — I’m related to the stylist I’m Unilocaling, BUT none of the friends I’ve referred her over the years are — and they are STILL seeing her after all these years. Tiffany Gwilliam has been doing my hair for over a decade now, which includes my wedding hair (plus the entire bridal party), over a dozen up-do’s for black tie events, and most recently chopped off 10 inches to give me the most beautiful A-​line cut out there! Plus, we’ve been doing the Keratin straightening treatments, which has made my morning hair routine soooo much easier! I haven’t colored my hair in ages, but that continues to be a strong suite of Tiffany’s as well. Yes — I’m slightly bias because she’s family, but honestly, she is one of a kind — an all-​around amazing woman, and once you meet her, I’m certain you would agree! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard her clients compliment how well she actually listens to what they want (including my mother-​in-​law!) — a trait not as common as one would assume all stylists should have!

I’ve been going to The Studio for a few years and I love it. The service and results are excellent.

Cambria has been cutting my husband’s hair for a couple of years now. I’d been loyal to someone else who just wasn’t ‘cutting’ it (pun intended). Today I went Cambria and the results are simply ‘Awesome!’. it’s official, I will stay here. The shop itself has a warm inviting feeling and everyone was so friendly. Should of listened to my husband sooner!

Lety is terrific. I’ve had my hair cut and styled by her for about a year now. She is very accommodating, has great (realistic) suggestions, listens to what I need and want, and keeps track of my preferences. My hair is always in great shape, even when it’s past time for another cut – I always get a good cut. She’s also very friendly, but in a genuine way. The Studio is also a friendly, comfortable shop.

It was really late on a weekend day and I had a meeting on Monday and my regular person who cuts my hair of 4+ years was knocked up (out on maternity leave). I called around but no one was available of course.
Lety said come in 30 minutes, I drive downhill and was there. She was cutting someone else when I arrived. Another girl arrives after me and wanted a hair cut too and Lety said sure thing.
I was offered beer, not your ordinary beer but good beer and fresh strawberries. I had to decline though because I don’t usually drink till it gets dark and my days work is done and I just finished a workout and was already feeling a bit lightheaded. But, sure will keep this in mind when I come back: $ 25.00 for beer, fresh strawberries and a haircut!

My husband and I have been going to Cambria for a few years now and she is as wonderful as ever! I have super fine hair and my hubands hair is thick and corse and she knows how to make each of us look our best!
She does a great men’s cut– nice and tight and even– she even adds a great scalp massage and helped him find a nice shampoo for his dry scalp.
She knows how to do nice color– that lasts, the cuts look great for weeks!
Cambria did everyones hair for our wedding– she was so kind and we all looked great– I have the wedding pictures to prove it!
If you are looking for a great cut and or color Cambria is for you– she is down to earth and will treat you really well.

I just had a nice haircut with Lety this morning. She’s very warm and personable which helps when you’re starting with a new salon. Lety took a look at the shaggy mess that my hair was in and asked all the right questions (Do you like the length? How do you feel about the bangs? Do you want to lighten it?) before going into the shaping of my hair. It’s like topiary in some cases. She chatted amicably about life while she shaped my hair into something really kicky and not too soccer Mommy looking.
The one drawback is that she is check or cash only. I wish I had known that before I got there so I didn’t have to scramble for cash but it’s a minor thing. I fully intend to go back in July to have her work wonders on my mane.

They also carry the Phyto products which are the coveted line of botanically derived, good-​for-​your-​hair care and are very well known for their hair extensions. Walk ins are welcomed but most likely you’ll need an appointment! and the Main # here is 595‑5406 not the one listed
