This hotel is hard to find because the name on the building says Budget hotel. Kind of weird but okay. We checked in a little early and they gave us a handicap room, nothing wrong with it. The décor is nice with dark floors. It doesn’t look like some cheap hotel where you don’t want to lay in the bed. It was pretty nice. They do have some people living in it with their doors open. I got to say that I do like Indian food but after staying here I am not quite sure. I have a very sensitive sense of smell so smelling Indian food for 2 days straight made me nauseous. It is very potent when you get off the elevator and because of that I would not stay here again. It’s great if you don’t care about it but definitely not my thing.

This hotel has many good features but I could not give more than 3 stars for several reasons. The room is nice, more like a suite. You walk in to a small living room with a sofa with a sofa table, on the other side of the room a small table with 2 pub chairs, then a separate bedroom with a semi comfortable bed, closet to hang clothes, 30″ tv, small microwave and small fridge. The room was kept up and had walnut wood floors in great condition and complimenting wallpaper throughout both rooms. There is a large tub but you can’t use the tub for a bath because there is a sign that says you will be fined if the tub overflows. The towels are your typical white towels that are absorbing but not plush and there is a blow dryer with outlets if you would like to use yours. Someone previously stated there was no outlets in the bathroom but there is. AC blows very cold. Parking is very tight and is underground, there is an elevator that works. There I a lot of street traffic but I’m sure all the hotels in this area has it also and no pool, but there is the beach near by. THEHOTELDOESNOTHAVE A SIGNTHATSAYSAMERICASBESTVALUEITSAYSBUDGETLODGE. Its right across the street from the Trade Winds Motel. I would highly recommend this hotel to save some money.

Not the most convenient hotel to the Downtown San Clemente area as far as being able to walk everywhere but perfect if you don’t mind driving a few minutes and finding parking. It is close and has everything you need right around it with a bar and restaurant right across the street. Has parking and all the amenities you expect in a hotel with fridge and microwave with very nice flooring and renovated bathroom. Room smelled a little but not bad enough to drive you out. Overall, very nice hotel and would stay there again when I go back to San Clemente. They’re putting money into it and trying to build it up, so not a bad choice.

Totally good and exactly what we wanted/we were passing through on our way to San Diego. They were very friendly! The place was clean, cute and the ac works awesome!!! It’s close the beach! And there is a big shower! Across from A cool bar and walking distance to lots of stuff.

This place is a dump. I booked the room for the Jacuzzi tub, which the room did have. It was a huge spa tub. There was no shower in the room, just a hose connected to the tub. The room had a lot of rust around and dust. The blinds in the bathroom were gross. There is a 25″ CRT tv that had a few channels available. There were people living in the hotel and several of them had their doors open. The location is good and walking distance to a few restaurants and bars, but overall it was mostly terrible and I would ever stay there again.

Stayed there two nights for business recently. Although the property is old,(reminded me of a old apartment complex) the room was clean and the AC worked great!

First off, every time I walked in to the from office I had to wait for someone to come greet me. Checking in was awkward because I was standing there for a couple minutes listening to someone watch tv in the back room and I see a little girl come out and say her mom isn’t there. I asked her when she would be back and the little girl went to grab her mom who was supposed to be working the front desk. I joined the value member club because it said you’d get 15% off rooms and when I asked about it she said my total would be $ 95 instead of $ 99. When I mentioned that wasn’t exactly 15% off she got rude and started banging on her calculator and said my total would be $ 93 with the tax, okay fine. So I get to my room which is supposed to be the«jacuzzi» suite, and the tub looks dirty. It never even filled up more than half way, probably to avoid people flooding it, so I couldn’t even use it. The area was good and quiet with lots of cool shops and restaurants, however next time I would not chose to stay here again.
