If San Clemente were a restaurant/bar, it would be BeachFire. Captures the eclectic, laid-back vibe of our great time. Food is top-notch, staff is great and live music is icing on the cake.

Great service from or server Levi, and the food was tasty and fresh. We started with Ceviche Tostada’s, and for Dinner we had the Shrimp and Lobster Pasta. After dinner the great service continued with Mica serving great drinks in the bar.

Just went back while in San Clemente on vacation. Every time I come in it feels like home: the food and service are always amazing. The owners are so super friendly and we love the beach and surf themed art. Highly recommend the clam chowder, coconut shrimp, Asian lettuce wraps: really you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. If you want casual beach vibes and awesome food, this is the place for you!

I went with a large group and we were seated on the patio. I would give the seating area five stars, the food quantity and selection 4 stars, but I thought the food was just average in taste and the service seemed very slow, but then I was with a large group. Also, when we asked for a recommendation for food, drink or appetizer, our server always recommended what was most expensive and did not offer multiple items. I don’t know what my boss paid, but I think we could have done better!

Located in the heart of San Clemente, this is the perfect lunch spot! I wandered in here with a few friends last weekend, and their tacos and beer did not dissapoint. Their laid back vibe was just what we were looking for to sit down and grab a bite before heading down to the beach. Both the ahi taco plate and the lobster and shrimp taco plate were delicious! the tacos were dressed with slaw and avocado and served with rice and beans. We washed them down with a solid IPA; however, a friend of ours ordered their blackberry, coconut water, and rum cocktail which was really refreshing. The fast and friendly service were the cherry on top for this fun, beachy eatery!

I ate hear a few days ago and can’t believe what I saw The hostess crying. Some guy dressed up in normal clothes that was probably the manager just going around yelling at the employees that were trying there best, at least it looked like it and he was was rude and acted like he gets annoyed if you have any questions or anything. The employees are look more like slaves than employees. I’ll never be back and don’t think this place should get any business.

The happy hour was pretty good! Could be cheaper, but this is San Clemente. Get the ahi tacos they don’t disappoint!

Since we always go to Avila’s next door, we decided to try something new and came here instead. Were seated immediately as they were just opening. We ordered few little things to start. Ahi Tar tar — not very fresh. Once we separated the seafood from the mango and avocados, we could eat. The fish tasted funny. Flatbread — pretty good! Clam Chowder — delicious! For some reason, because of the ahi, we lost our appetite and didn’t order more. I’m not sure it was amazing enough for a return.

All the food here is good I never had anything I didn’t like. Everyone that works here is very attentive to the customers and friendly, I find all the items to be reasonably priced. I nice atmosphere in the little beach town, I would recommend to stop here if you are in town.

The roasted bacon brussels sprouts were really good! I could have eaten a big plate of them! The bartender was generous with the vodka for my Moscow Mule ! I left full and buzzed I will be coming back again!

It’s average. Great if your looking to just drink. Food isn’t mind blowing. This place used to be fun and have great music. It’s just okay, it would be nice for them to stand out a little more with some unique items on the menu. Maybe offer more vegan and vegitarian options.

Love this place! Great food, never been disappointed. The Asian ribs… melt in your mouth. Mmmm. I love the bands they pick to play there-or acoustic. I think so far this is my favorite place in down town. Don’t change a thing

2016 Unilocal 100 Challenge 32⁄100 I arrived with my mom during Happy Hour and decided to sit in the bar area since this was the only place to get the specials. The bartender came out to our table and he was very friendly and helpful, telling us what all the drink and food specials were. We decided on the braised pork sliders, crispy calamari, sticky ribs and sautéed Brussel sprouts. All the portions were huge, especially considering they were at happy hour prices. Each one of the dishes could’ve been their own full meal. The sliders were probably the most generous since each one of the 3 sliders were almost the size of a regular bun. More importantly, they were delicious. In fact, all of the items were great – even the Brussel sprouts, which my mom loves and the reason I ordered them. :-) The bartender kept a close watch on us most of the time and provided great service. The only reason that it wasn’t 5 star worthy was that he took a little long to get me the check when we were done so I was late for my next meeting. But I can highly recommend Beach Fire and hope to be back soon.

Fun place! To be fair, I need to mention that I did not eat anything. I’m always nosey at everyone’s plates when going somewhere new and nothing looked(or smelled) intriguing. If I absolutely need something, I would have gotten some nachos or something. They looked just okay… Had a female server on a Sunday who was very nice and attentive. GREAT live music from like 3 — 6, then again at 8:00pm. I’d for sure pop in again for a beer and music!

Used to come here allll the time. Ended up back in town the other day so of course we came back. It was overall really good and I had a great time but it wasn’t quite what I remembered. Their grilled artichoke is AMAZING and I defiantly recommend it, but they didn’t quite get the cheese and mushrooms in the middle warm. It was still pretty good, but I was disappointed to be served food that was cold in the middle. I got a steak that was pretty good but not amazing and my stepmom got Josh’s chicken. She said it was alright but not nearly as good as she remembered. Again, we still had a great time. The waiters were very nice and on top of it but the food seems to have gone down a bit in quality.

What a fun restaurant! The interior is hip and eclectic and they have a few seats outside the bar at the sidewalk as well as a patio out back. We had a fabulous lunch on the patio consisting of an ahi tartare, shrimp tacos, avocado, bacon, cheese chicken melt, sweet potato fries, and house salad. Everything was super fresh, tasty, and satisfying. The sandwiches were so large that we took ½ home. Highly recommended.

I wish I liked this place more because they have a nice menu. I’ve visited with my wife 3 times so far and just can’t find anything that stands out with regards to taste. It’s all OK. But I’m not interested in just OK. LOCATION& Ambiance(Rating 4) Located on the main drag in San Clemente and close to the beach and other nightlife, this is a great location. And on entering the ambiance is of a nice place to eat, albeit a bit dark for my taste. Braised Pork Sliders(Rating 3) The brioche bun was good and the pork and sauce had a decent flavor going, but a little to sticky like it had been overcooked or sitting around. Wasn’t my favorite. GRILLEDSALMONSALAD(Rating 3) My wife ordered this and it was good as well. The salmon unfortunately was overcooked making it dry when biting into it. Panko Crusted Alaskan Halibut(Rating 3) Again the flavor was OK. The fish was a bit overcooked but not horrible. Actually the piece of fish itself was not up to my standards. The 3 rating is generous. Salmon Broiled(Rating 3) This had a nice flavor, but was again overcooked. By the way, I’m not expecting this to be sashimi.

I was on a strict diet when deciding to have dinner out with a friend. She suggested Beachfire because they had a few healthy options. I ordered the lettuce wraps and they were delightful. The sauces that came along made this simple dish into a gourmet meal. The ambiance was great and the service was very attentive. I would recommend Beachfire if you are looking for a nice and quiet meal close to the San Clemente Pier.

Ok so here’s the breakdown. — the service was so so. It took a long time to get our food. Let’s be honest here, this place is not exactly packed to the brim for them to take 30 minutes for our entrees to come out. Not the server’s fault I know. — the Mahi Mahi sandwich portion was a joke. The fish has the diameter half that of the bun. — the burger! Oh the burger. My dad is a burger man and for him to throw away half of his burger is a sin against humanity in his book. Cmon! Please take a look at the picture I attach here. It’s burnt and what part of that patty looks medium to anyone? — lastly, the lady that looked a whole lot like the owner/manager could’ve put herself to use by taking care of the whole restaurant, not just her acquaintances. Conclusion: Beachfire is on the NEVERCOMINGBACK list!
