I stopped in for breakfast. I didn’t know the food was prepared ahead of time. I was not at all impressed. The half chicken wrap was dry, the small turkey sandwich was marginal, the serving of spinach and beet salad was on a small saucer. The small coffee I ordered in a mug came in a to go cup and my friends latte was made incorrectly. All for around $ 30. I’m giving it one star because the coffee was good. But good coffee is not hard to find.

Over priced for food that’s been sitting for awhile. Staff not very friendly. Very, very, very noisy.

Beautiful and tasty pastries! Went on a Sunday around 9:15 am and there were still tables available, though I just picked up pastries to go. Line was not long and they were quick and friendly! Love the vibe, though things are a little cramped with the stanchions but I get why they need them.

I always like coming here. They’re so sweet :) they decorated the place so nicely, and the lattes are really good! You can always get mimosas here. Perfect addition to our town.

I love this place! The food is delicious, homemade as advertised and so close to the beach. I also love that we can bring our dog and enjoy the food outside on the patio while seeing the ocean. This place is a gem!

Just came back from Ellie’s Table! My family and I went there for breakfast. I ordered a Cappuccino, almond croissant, and bacon quiche. I fell in love with their service, food, and atmosphere. I will for sure come back, especially for the coffee and pastries.

This has become the regular meeting place for us(driving from Long Beach) and our son at UCSD. We each drive about 45 min and are always excited to try something new on the menu. Service and atmosphere is super. We have yet to try something that was not drop dead delicious: quiche, palm sandwiches, croissants, crostatas, macarons, scones. Also, a great location… A few steps from a picturesque beach trail where you can walk off some of the calories. A++++++

So the whole feeling rushed thing is because there are so many yuppers in there that one expects a rumble at any minute. I have learned to ignore it and just take my good old southern belle time. The worst news is: I’m completely dedicated to the weekly consumption of a chocolate croissant now. This is possibly the BEST pastry I have ever been doomed to be crazy for.

This place has really stepped up their service and food. Now my favorite thing is their gluten free quiche and amazing chicken salad. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a quiet breakfast place or even somewhere to meet a business contact. Their patio is perfect for sunshine days and the bathrooms are very clean. They also have a wedding cake display that was beautifully done with current trends.

This place is heavenly!!! From their coffee, Iced teas to quiche and two palm sandwiches are just delicious! I would drive back even just for their cronuts and macaroons which were not left hidden from my radar hahaha! Just love it here… even just for the ocean view for sure would make the drive worthwhile. Did I mention how great their service was? Well, one thing for sure… I’m driving back here and bring my babies with me. Molly, you were awesome! Thanks for helping me. See you again soon :-)

This establishment is nearly«Breakfast Gold» my friends… The KEANCOFFEE was not spectacular but was very good for sure. Not incredibly smooth but not bitter, sour etc. I prefer Peet’s but this is clearly better than Starpuke’s. The SAUSAGE/EGG/CHEESE CROISSANT was lacking in meat quantity and coverage but otherwise was very tasty and added a bit of zest to the sweet portion of our breakfast. When the distribution of ingredients is off it doesn’t «click» from bite to bite in the mouth. Sorry, but I need balance… KOUIGNAMANN — sweet mother of ___________! Essentially, it is CREMEBRULEE meets CROISSANT. And the outcome is UN-be-LIEV-a-BLE! The cream is thick, smooth and delectable. The croissant is buttery and flaky and combined this pastry may be outlawed in over 30 states… excluding the South maybe. MAPLEBACONCRONUT — crispy, finely chopped bacon shrapnel rests on top of a delicious maple frosting; the coverage of frosting looks a touch sparse but it does work quite well; the cronut texture is firm, but not crunchy and the blend of textures, salt, sweet are amazing… SNICKERDOODLECOOKIE — I’ve been making these for over 17 years and I’m not sure I could make it any better; soft, bit of moistness in the center and the perfect balance of cinnamon and sugar… so very good The only real con in dining here is the parking. You better bring COINS, no cards accepted on meters. Also, their parking lot is TINY since they’re near the beach where real estate is anything but«bargain basement». The OUTDOORPATIO is nice(as is the dining room) but we couldn’t get outside and barely borrowed some seats from some nice peeps at a big table on the inside.

There are hidden gems and precious metals all over the world as is there are café and pastry bakeries, This is polished with great food. I lived in San Clemente since 1993 and this is my new go to bakery café. Since it was busy on the weekend my wife and I walked to North beach sat at Metrolink benches to eat our Blueberries pastry and my Chorizo egg croissant while watching the surf roll in… Life is good and yummy … Thumbs and surf is up

Since moving to San Clemente, this has been the first and best spot for coffee and breakfast. I have been here a few time now and and can say everything has been great. From the breakfast burritos, egg and cheese croissant, to even their cookies whatever you are craving they have it. Wether you sit inside or out you will have great service and even more chat with someone new from the neighborhood. This is a cool local spot and encourage everyone to try them out of you are in town Enjoy!

Super cute breakfast pastry café in San Clemente with a beautiful view of the coast! There’s a fair amount of indoor seating and a nice small outdoor patio area, and a varied and extensive selection of delicious looking pastries, sandwiches, and salads. As it was my first time visiting Ellie’s Table, I tried their famed Kouign Amann, a crème brûlée filled pastry that was recommended by the employee who took my order. It was absolutely delicious! The crème brûlée was super smooth and perfectly sweetened. I also ordered a café latte in a mug. The coffee was great and the latte art was adorable! The only issue I could really find was the parking. They do have a parking lot, but it’s very small and can only fit about 5 – 6 cars. There’s a good amount of street parking nearby with meters that charge 25 cents for every 10 minutes, so if you’re headed here, bring plenty of quarters!

Two words: almond croissant. Words of advice: come with an empty stomach because everything looks delicious. We tried a chocolate croissant, an almond croissant, a blueberry scone and a strawberry and cream cheese croissant. We loved everything. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying the breakfast croissants with egg and the maple bacon cronut. Metered street parking is 24 hours.

Ellie’s Table is a jewel of a find in San Clemente’s small beach town. I love it for breakfast/brunch pastry and coffee. They have a nice variety of filled pastries, croissants, quiche, sandwiches, and they also have lunch and salads on the menu. I’m surprised how many people are here in workout clothes since the butter content is high here, but I guess if you want to eat here and still be bikini ready, then working out is a must! Metered street parking, indoor/outdoor seating, and they always have a line out the door!

I love Ellie’s!!! A simple, delicious, happy little bistro serving scrumptious mini quiches, mouth watering chocolate croissants, fresh blueberry scones, and comforting teas and coffees of your choice! Great indoor and outdoor seating, a small private parking lot available, otherwise street metered parking, coins only. Yummmm! Love ET!

Don’t go for their food… because it probably won’t be available… It’s advertised as a café’, so I went around noon on a Sunday for a brunch/lunch. I had been before, but only for coffee and pastries. I looked forward to maybe getting a quiche, breakfast burrito, or sandwich. However, NONE were available. I don’t mind if a few things are unavailable, but practically half of the menu was null and void. I got a 5 minute speech about why that was so– they operate like a bakery and get all their goods in the morning at Garden Grove so they can guarantee freshness. Which, of course, I understand and appreciate the quality of the items, but if I can’t eat any of them because they’re out by lunchtime, what’s the point? I ended up with a $ 10 meal: a small cup of butternut squash soup(which was actually delicious) and their winter kale salad(also good). Worth the price? No way! But I definitely was full and enjoyed the taste of the items. I love this place as a coffee shop and bakery. I have come many times and loved their coffee and baked goods– their chocolate chip cookies are to die for! The location is ideal, being able to see the ocean from the windows. This is why I land on 3⁄5 stars instead of 1 or 2.
