Living in San Clemente for all my life this is the place to be. It is inexpensive, very filling and the owners are so sweet. The chicken is tender, the rice is nice and fluffy and the service is the best. I paid $ 26 for 2 chicken bowls and 2 chicken veggie bowl. This place is the best!

Great variety of bowels and sushi. Lots of combinations. Great tasting and fast service. I had the beef teriyaki bowel with cucumber roll and my wife ordered the chicken bowel. Great flavor in the meat and rice. Wish the was more outdoor seating especially seeing how close you are to the beach. Also limited seating inside.

It’s not often that Unilocal steers me wrong, but this was a total disappointment. Got 2 chicken teriyaki bowls and a tempura roll to go. The chicken was extremely dry, I had to throw most if it away as it was inedible. The roll didn’t have any avocado or cucumber, I’ve never had it with just the shrimp inside, super bland.

Went in for lunch bought a beef teriyaki bowl, brown rice, and veggies. 30 mins later I started to feel a rumble in my stomach. Followed by 3 days of the craps, and bad stomach cramps. Never Again!

Stumbled upon this gem while walking around San Clemente and it is SOGOOD! They’re right next door to the liquor store and as soon as I approached that store I got a huge whiff of BBQ. Not wanting to get my hopes up I kept walking until I reached the building and came inside. I was not disappointed! It smells amazing! I had one customer in front of me and it only took him maybe a minute to take his order, he got mine and then two minutes later, maybe not even that, it was done. The guy that works here is really kind and polite. They make you feel as if you’re in a sit down restaurant by asking you questions and assisting you with anything you might need and they’re very respectful. I really can’t say enough about my first visit: HUGE menu, nice staff, low prices, fast and amazing food. I’ll be back, next time with my hubby :)

Stopped by for dinner on the way to new San Clemente outlet. The restaurant is a small hole in the wall, mom & pop teriyaki shop that serves generous portions at a budget. There are no tables inside other than counter against the walls with stools with the exception of two tables outside. Unlike other teriyaki places where they reheat old chickens cooked earlier in the day, Super Bowl actually cooks to order during peak hours. The gentleman at the counter asks you if you want green onions, sesame seeds or sauce on your chicken or beef bowl. What’s surprising is how clean the place is.

12.05.15 Me, Hubby and Little O stopped here for lunch after shopping at Rainbow Sandals. About a 3 min drive away. Hubby got the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl and 6-pc California Roll to share with Little O. I got the Beef and Veggie Bowl. After your order is cooked they add the green onions, teriyaki sauce and sesame seeds to your liking. Flavor of the sauce and food was pretty good. Sadly, the beef was a little dry and overcooked. Hubby said his chicken was overcooked. Hubby ordered the 6-pc California Roll as usual – no avocado and no cucumbers. The crab filling actually had great flavor. The roll was served with wasabi only, no ginger. So overall, the best dish out of all three was the 6-piece California Roll. Order and wait for your food type of establishment. They even serve everything in to-go boxes. The place is very small – counter seating for about 7 or 8 people and I think one or two small tables out front.

The teriyaki chicken is both flavorful and plentiful. I got the teriyaki chicken platter and the wife got the teriyaki chicken salad. We both got a lot of chicken with our order. Kiddo got the udon and she liked it. Bear in mind that she likes her food on the salty side. There just isn’t a lot of places to sit while dining in. Inside there is a counter running around the wall and eight stools. There is a patio table outside.

Tuna is very, very fishy — definitely not fresh — shrimp tempura roll has microscopic bits of shrimp and loads of breading– very disappointing

Great place to grab a healthy lunch. I had the standard chicken teriyaki bowl and enjoyed it. Everything was fresh. Next time I’ll try the teriyaki with vegetables. I’ll Definitley will hit this place up again next time I’m in OC.

Super Bowl express was not only delicious but the aesthetics were there too. The fish was fresh and tasted very good. I am the son of the fisherman so am pretty spoiled when it comes to freshness in fish. The menu I read online says $ 7.95 for the combo and I think it was $ 12 after tax and tip. Well worth it and I will be back.

It always smelt so good as I passed by it on my way to work. I had to work, but my co worker went to lunch there and I just had to try a bite. I tried a rice bowl and feel in love. I finally went there and was so satisfied!!! If you haven’t tried it, go!

Super bowl express is such a hidden gem! I’m so excited I decided to stop here for lunch. Their menu is bigger than the place itself which was a nice surprise, not like being a vegetarian I have many options to begin with but they had a lot! Prices were so reasonable and the food was fresh and yummy. Veggie roll, avocado roll, miso soup, and a side of tofu nuggets(huge portion!) All for $ 15! Can’t beat it when some rolls alone are $ 10-$ 15. Can’t wait to be back and I definitely recommend Super Bowl Express.

This place is awesome. Food: I’ve tried a number of different dishes here, as have my coworkers, and we are always very happy with the quality and taste! They make everything fresh, and are happy to add little extras. Service: Wow these people couldn’t be nicer. They’ve always been very patient as I try to decide what I want from their delicious menu, and take care to ask if you want sauces, green onions, sesame seeds, etc., and then they add it for you with a smile. Atmosphere: It’s a tiny little restaurant that only has seating for maybe 5 or 6 people. But, there is also some seating outside. Regardless, great little place, somewhat hole-in-the-wall feel(and I mean that in a very good way). All in all, I definitely recommend you try it. I’ll definitely return many more times.
