The website definitely shows a lot of promise, but after speaking with these folks over the phone, I definitely won’t be visiting.

Loved the concept and all of the gluten free options. The space is great, with a very nice little patio out front. I ordered the Hawaii on Fire flatbread pizza and really enjoyed it. It was nicely sized — I ended up taking half out for later — and it tasted exactly as it sounds — a Hawaiian pizza with a great kick from jalapenos! Unfortunately, initial service wasn’t great, but I’m bumping it up a star because my dining companion and the manager had a positive interaction about it, and I think it’s great to see the interest she took in resolving it.

After a few days of conference food, I was overjoyed to discover this place because I was craving fresh ingredients to match my normal diet! The gluten free bread was moist and had a slightly nutty flavor, the fruit was fresh, and the orange juice was fresh squeezed. To top it all off, we enjoyed friendly staff and a table on their outdoor patio. Soak up the sunshine and enjoy a healthy meal here, you won’t be disappointed! Prices were what you’d expect at a business focusing on organic/natural ingredients.

Everything is so damn good!!! Prices are a little over priced so it’s not often that I come down. Having celiacs I just eat what is naturally gluten free. So having waffles and cakes just isn’t something I have often. If I have a craving then game is on, but since I’ve been gluten free for 5 years I don’t crave sugar as much as I used to. While I was pregnant I came and spent about $ 70 one morning. I love their bread, but can’t slice it thin enough myself, but so good.

Would be five stars but you can’t get the cheese burger pizza like you can in Encinitas. Bummer! Come on 2Good2Be, we need cheeseburger pizza in the gas lamp. Love 2good2Be since my wife is celiac it is a great establishment for folks that don’t need 2B gluten free but tolerate for their spouses!

My husband and I have looked high and low all around San Diego county for places to eat that are GF. We aren’t the only family that tries to eat GF and it’s always a challenge finding good GF food. This place was a GF paradise! I had the grilled cheese and it was the best bread I’ve tasted — some GF bread tastes like yuck but not here! My hub had the mac and cheese and was in love! We bought lemon bars and bread pudding for later! Thanks to Dane who was really friendly and helpful!

To start, the food is sub-par at best. Definitely not worth the price. After ordering, the server brought out water that was literally warm, not lukewarm, warm. After getting the water, I look up to a tv above the door, which is spewing propaganda; claiming gluten can cause Alzheimer’s, autism, schizophrenia, and a list of other diseases and medical conditions. I can understand ignorance to this on some degree, but if you are going to open a restaurant and make these claims, you had better be sure they are backed up by the evidence. In this case, they certainly are not. I hope it is just the ignorance of the owners. Otherwise they are outright lies. The one star is mostly out of principle to the owners encouraging anti-scientific claims while masking it in science. The claims they make are not a matter of opinion, they are a matter of fact. The owners simply do not care enough to acknowledge the facts. But rest assured, if you decide to experiment anyway, you will be greatly disappointed in the food. Unless, of course, you truly do have celiac disease.

Was excited when I saw this place was opening up in Gaslamp as my mom has a gluten and soy allergy and I am always looking for places to take her to breakfast/lunch. Love that she can order anything on the menu. I’ve been here a few times and I’ve been very happy with the service. They are always friendly and helpful in offering suggestions when ordering. I’ve been here a few times and had their breakfast panini,(not great, bread was a little dry, but I guess to be expected with gluten free bread) and their pizza(which I loved). A little pricey, but worth it because of the special menu.

The service here is impeccable. My first visit I had forgotten my bottle coke at the register, and after walking down the street halfway, one of the employees brought it around the corner back to me. The food is really good– I don’t have food allergies or sensitivities, but my girlfriend does, and we both stand by the quality of the food and service. I have had only one order mismade, but even that was a happy mistake because the food was so good. I would recommend this place to both people with food allergies, and those without. For Pete’s sake, they even bake paninis and loafs of bread too. And it’s all GLUTEN, CORN, and SOYFREE!

The food was ok. I liked my BF’s food better. He had the Braised Beef Benedict and I got the French Toast. The French Toast is a bit dry for my taste even though it was supposed to be soaked in egg custard. The food is on the pricey side. No free refill on Iced Tea. Will we go here again? Not sure, maybe if we get another coupon. But not too inclined to go back.

Had dinner at the Gaslamp location after trying the food at Reader fest. My boyfriend is gluten sensitive and hasn’t had french bread in over 6 years, he was in love! All the food we had was amazing, especially the sprouted hummus and mac n cheese. The service was also a highlight of our visit! The manager gave my boyfriend a free lemon square since he hasn’t had on GF ever! We will definitely be back! PS — They have vegan and vegetarian options! They are more than happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions :)

I enjoyed a pretty good breakfast panini on rosemary bread which you have to ask for or they will make it on regular white bread. The panini came with either potatoes or fresh fruit, I went for the fruit, including a single sliced large strawberry, and a cup of Café Moto coffee( ). The panini was nice and came with some really nice marks left by the press( ). The rosemary flavor of the bread was mild, but just enough to let you know that it was there. The breakfast panini came with savory smoked ham, tomatoes, cheese, and fluffy scrambled eggs( ). It was all a little under seasoned so I added a touch of salt and a generous amount of black pepper, then I was ready to roll( ). Overall a good panini with good flavors and and texture provided by the grilled pressed bread. The side fruit was a good mix and was freshly sliced( ). I really enjoyed the berries and orange wedges. Service was good, but what kinda bummed me out was that they do not have WiFi, so I had to pick up a weak signal from nearby to get some work done. I hope they provide service in the near future. Especially since I was not the only one asking for it during my visit.

I came for the first time after a friend suggested them to me. It was definitely cute place but was a little on the small side. It was empty when I got there but the staff was friendly and ready to help! I ordered the breakfast panini and sat down to await the arrival of my first 2Good2B entrée. I waited no longer than 10 minutes before they brought out the perfectly crusted gluten — free panini! It also came with a side of fresh fruit! The panini was great! The bread had a perfect crisp throughout and had some kind of nuts or seeds in it. The egg and bacon were well — prepared. The fruit was all very fresh and in season! The serving size was hearty– I couldn’t finish the large panini but enjoyed every bite I could manage :) ! I plan to go back and try the pastries and loaded mac & cheese. This place is the perfect spot for those looking for a quick spot to grab some good, healthy food. I love that you don’t have to sacrifice taste in order to find gluten, soy, or corn free options! I will be back soon!

The colors and design of this place attracted me more than the pastries they sell. I knew about this shop in Encinitas, but was my first time in Gaslamp this past Saturday. I was greeted by 2 good looking young men who explained everything they had on the menu. I am not much of cupcakes fun and I was craving some type of croissant or flaky pastry, so what they had was not for me at that moment, but loved the coffee, the vibe of the place, location, menu options. Very welcoming staff.

How can you not love this place? They have so many fun items to choose from when it comes to breakfast, lunch, pastries, sweet treats or take home items to enjoy later. What the best part about it? It’s all gluten-free, which is awesome for those with dietary restrictions or personal preferences! Not only that, but they specialize in it, which means there are not just 2 items that you can determine from the rest that have zero gluten. Nope, not here! You can find anything you wish and a variety at that. You want sweet treats? Perfect, choose between cookies, muffins or cupcakes — all large or small — to satisfy that craving. You aren’t too hungry but want to try something from them? Take a look at the refrigerated take home items to have later on once the hunger returns. They have an array from mac n cheese, quiches, pot pies & more. They are open early if you want to grab breakfast or later on if lunch is more your jam. They do take credit card, have plenty of inside/outside seating, options for take-out/to-go and they are conveniently located by the mall if you want to use the garage parking or take your time and look out for street parking. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everything regardless of your dietary needs because everything they do is pretty awesome.

I am in awe of the good reviews, but as big as my tummy is getting I did not actually eat everything they have so maybe I made poor choices. The whole set up was very similar to eating at an airport. They have everything made already and portioned out. They have everything in its own container. Even the ketchup. You are given plastic everything to eat with. I breezed in with the my poultry pals for a brunch where we discuss bears and forests. We were happy that the wait was not long and there were tons of choices for gluten free eaters. The food was really not that great. I will probably never be back unless I need a GF break or sweet. The omelette was either from microwave egg or they missed the mark so crazily that if it wasn’t from a microwave then I don’t want to know. I ate it still. The sides were lack luster and honestly I cannot highlight enough how eating breakfast here was like at an airport expect no booze. Service was great. I can say that they really have that going for them!

My roommate and I had a groupon so we decided to come for breakfast the other day. This is right across the street to Horton Plaza mall so you can just park at the mall and get it validated for free(3 hour free parking). We got the french toast and the red velvet pancakes and they were delicious! The french toast portion was huge and can probably feed 2 – 3 people! My red velvet pancakes were delicious. I also picked up a couple of goodies to take home and they were absolutely delicious! The cupcakes and tiramisu is about $ 4 – 5 per piece which is pricey but for gluten-free, it is an okay price. I highly recommend this place for anyone who has to eat gluten-free.

I work in Downtown and was looking for a healthy meal. I Unilocaled«healthy lunch» and found this place. Everything is gluten/wheat/soy free, which is definitely a plus if you or your dining buddy has dietary restrictions. I ordered the grilled portobello panini. The meal came with a side salad(mixed greens with tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, one strawberry, and a balsamic vinaigrette) that I thought was better than the panini. Although I thought the panini was tasty, I couldn’t get over how soft the bread was – almost mushy. I understand it’s gluten-free bread, but I need the crunch to go with the contents inside. What’s great is they they sell baked goods that look yummy and pre-made sandwiches and salads to go. I’ve tried the brownie and it’s definitely worth it. I won’t get another panini, but I’ll try the other baked goods.

This café may not have a line outside the door or a waitlist during brunch but it is damn delicious. I had brunch here on Sunday as my plan b because the wait at Café 21 was just to long for my appetite to handle and to be honest I was already hangry. There were only about 3 other people here so the service was quick. Fresh squeezed orange juice and lavender lemonade weren’t too special to rave about but the food… I ordered the french toast and it came out warm, soft in the middle(not too soggy) and crispy around the edges just how I like it. The serving was too much for me and kinda wish I had ordered a side. I would suggest splitting the plate and getting sides. My sister had the Morning Sides plate and it was delicious! Next time I am definitely ordering that plate because I eating off of it more than mine! Don’t let the gluten/corn/soy free establishment scare you off!
