For a small recreation center with a big baseball field, this place is pretty neat. I have not gone in and seen the actual recreation center itself, but I always see flyers promoting activities and sports teams using the field day and night. I give the place kudos for having lights up for night play and there is a small seating area if you’re looking to sit for a while. I usually jog by on my cardio days and it’s always a nice sight when passing by. The area is a bit cramped so parking can be a hassle but for a recreation center, given the location, it’s nice to see this place up and running. Plus it is kept well maintained. Overall, if you’re looking for a place to get active with a small group or are in a VAVI/sports league, this would be a good venue to host some games.

Such a cute little park for all ages! Came here to practice my sweet skateboarding skills. That didn’t last very long since I really don’t have any skills according to Michael B. …so I started playing basketball with some random people. Everyone seemed so friendly. It was as if everyone knew each other for a long time, yet we had just met that very day. Such a local/neighborhood feel to it. They have about two or three basketball hoops and the ground is very smooth for skateboarding. Not only smooth, but very large so it’s perfect for beginners. They also have a very large grassy area where dogs are running around, people are flying their mobile airplanes and kids just enjoying it all. You can also enjoy the clean equipment.

I play Wednesday night football here with my VAVI team. It’s in a great location and the field is nice. We usually walk to the bars after, but I really enjoy the location of this rec center.

As a venue for a kickball league the AA Rec Center is pretty good. Parking is ample and easy, lighting’s good and the local community that uses the park otherwise is great. The best aspect for me is that it’s located centrally from a great selection of post-kickball drinking bars. The only complaint that I have is that the condition of the field isn’t ideal. In the two games I’ve played in the outfield, I have turned both ankles. If only we could actually win a game… of course that’s our fault, not the rec. center’s.
