Anthony’s Iron Works, Inc.

I found Anthony’s Iron Works from a Google search for Steel Fabricators in the San Diego area. I needed help in finishing a railing project for a large facility near the airport area.
After reviewing three different prices from three different metal fabricators, Anthony’s Iron Works seemed the most competitive and fit for the job. Not to mention, Ramon the owner came onsite the same day I called. We were able to proceed with a agreeable price before end of day and started fabrication right away.
Their staff and craftsmanship was very professional and I recommend them to anyone with any metal fabrication needs.

The work was good. The CLEAN UP was deplorable. Besides finding cigarette ends on the ground and in the gutters, we found lengths of cable, ends and pieces of thin wire. Found one in the paw pad of my dog. Job clean up is not their strong suit. If you’re willing to do the clean up yourself, go for it!

We had an old apparent window grate that someone had installed as a gate. It was rusted. We contracted a new gate from Anthony’s, and it exceeded our expectations. It was difficult getting ahold of them, but the work is excellent. We are very pleased with it; Jesus did a fantastic job!

Disaster!!! Do not hire them. Poor design and installing skills. Contracted for front door security door and automated driveway gate made out of wrought iron. Weeks late. Tried 3 times to install the front screen door, they tore up the stucco around my front door twice. had to have it fixed and painted. The owner installed door the 3^rd time and hung it too low and the door would swing shut by itself. Poor design. they took it away again to fix the hinges, brought it back with powder coating destroyed on the frame. I refused the door. The driveway gate was beautiful, but they only installed a decorative wrought piece to hold it and not a heavy steel post. They mixed their own concrete in a bucket, poured it in a hole only 18 inches deep with 2 pieces of metal thrown in the hole to support the decorative iron piece. They did this on a Thursday, came back the following Monday. The gate was sagging down 2 inches. I told them I refuse the gate too. They came today to take everything away and fill the hole in my driveway. they did not take concrete work out by my fence. I had my gardener dig it out. It just crumbled. No way it could support the heavy iron gate. If you hire these people, beware. they do not have any idea what they are doing.

Our project started off really well with Ramon at Anthony’s Iron Works coming out and giving us a bid. Soon after we received an email quote and were pleased that their price/​quality seemed better than our other written bids for the same work.

Once they received a substantial down payment and started working on the job it became clear the reason that their price was lower than others: They clearly had limited skills in the design and manufacturer of the iron railings we wanted.
When they finally started installing the railings (several weeks beyond the promised original install date due to their powder coating items before even checking that they actaully fit first!!!) they sent out one installer and a helper. They worked one long Friday. When they left for the weekend they left one hell of a mess! Bits of plastic wrapping blew all over the yard and chunks of concrete coring were left in the landscaping. They left smudge marks on the brand new stucco. Basically they were pigs and finished for the day and just left. They cleaned up none of their mess and left it all strewn about for the weekend.
After I complained about the mess to Ramon they came back and did a half ass clean up. We paid him in full. Big mistake!
When they finished the installation I didn’t realize that they did not bring out one of the agreed upon items that was part of the iron job. I called Ramon and left a message to call me. I called and left a message again the next day. I called again two days later and told him I was going to leave negative feedback online if he refused to even return my call! So here I am leaving very negative feedback. He had ample warning.
This company has very poor management and oversight of their employees, leaves one hell of a mess for an owner to clean up, does not provide and install agreed upon contractual items, and once paid in full refuses to return calls! RUN AWAY!

We just had Anthony’s design and install custom railings for our front porch & steps. Javier came out the very day that I called them for an estimate, and he answered all my questions and was great to work with. He got the job started right away, and had everything built and installed very quickly and with no glitches. We are very happy with the end result, and would definitely use them again!

I had them install some iron gates some years ago. They did a great job back then. But now that I need to have repairs done (gates no longer latch due to ground shifting). they do not return my calls & appear to be not interested in repair work. I must now find someone else to handle repairs.

Ramon is the man! Anthony’s installed two gates for me over a year ago, Ramon still follows up with me and they still look great. Quality work for a great price!

Anthony’s Metal Works fabricated and installed an exterior cable railing for one of our projects at a residence in Leucadia. Ramon was very responsive and easy to work with. The got the work done in a timely fashion and for a fair price. We will definitely be working with them again for future projects!

Anthony’s Metal works fabricated and installed railings for our remodel both inside at the stair case and outside at two balcony areas. The custom railings were made and installed with a good deal of supervision by the Owner and I was very pleased with the results. We had some minor changes that were requested by my wife and they came right out and made sure that we were happy with the job. It has been 3 or 4 years since the work was installed. We are very near the beach and we have not had any rusting or problems with the finish. I highly recommend this company. Hey… they made my wife happy!

They built me a wonderful custom entry gate and wrought iron fence. They did a superb job. They were very reasonable and communicated wonderfully. I recommend them…
