April’s Massage Sanctuary

It’s been a while since I’d had a massage and I was in some pain. April fixed me up nicely. My back feels much better today. The place has a nice atmosphere and is very clean. I’m definitely going back soon for another round. Thanks again April.

I’ve had about 30 massages in my lifetime, but I have to say that April gave me one of the very best. She is so very strong, and gives a super firm massage (if that’s your preference). I left my 90 minute massage on a whole different planet. I felt amazing and still do. Highly recommend her.

As good as it gets. This is not your foo-​foo-​bunny spa light rubby-​dubby, this is a serious pain management and stress relief massage. Surrender your aches and pains to April’s strong and wizened hands, take deep breaths, and be prepared for serious therapy. Amen. I will be back, again and again.

Amazing! I have crazy tension always in my neck and back and Max was so great at relieving the pressure! Highly recommend you stopping in to see him :)

I would absolutely recommend April for your next massage. And do it NOW because she doesn’t just make you feel better, but she knows how to actually work your body out to allow it to HEAL better! April does an amazing job of being creative in working out whatever you have going on. I’m a Chiropractor, and I have to say, I really appreciate when someone who does body work actually digs around to find your problem, not just rub the general area and move on. April does a GREAT job of making a difference. I love a deep massage, and there were times I was swearing at her under my breath. I know she would have backed off if I had asked, but I’m so glad I let her get in to my shoulders because I feel so much better! Stop waiting like I did — this is a worthwhile investment! April will take amazing care of you!

Small strong hands. Great massage really got into my knots in my back & neck after working for 4 straight months. She also actually listened to my problem areas and focused my massage on muscles that are associated with loosing the muscles. All around amazing.

Update: I went back for another massage with April and I am still thrilled to pieces with her! I think my default massage therapist of about 10yrs just lost his place as the #1 seed. April rocks!

Just went to April today and recommend her highly. She customized the massage to my needs and has a good sense of where to apply pressure to really open up and relax the muscles. I’ll be back!

I went to April when I was in desperate need of a good massage for my sore neck– found her through a Groupon Now deal and was lucky enough to get in the same day. The massage was amazing– one of the best I’ve ever had, and I have high standards. She is incredible at identifying sore spots and working out knots. She is also easy to talk to and open to feedback, which I appreciate. Located in a fun neighborhood (super cute farmers market on Weds night) — not the quietest/​most private spot but didn’t bother me. I will def be coming back!

I had a facial from April and it was one of the most relaxing things I have ever done for myself! April made me feel so comfortable and she did such a great job! My skin felt so good it was more then I expected! When I walked into her shop I felt like I was at home, so warm and inviting! I would recommend her services anytime!

Awesome little massage place. If you’re looking for a day spa type atmosphere, look elsewhere, but if you’re looking for a great massage place, this is definitely it!
I gotta admit, I’m one to get massages at day spas, and I’m used to the whole spa treatment and environment. I thought it would be that way when I got to this place, but it wasn’t… I’m not horridly picky, but it was something I had to get over.
I came in with my back in knots. April is such a great masseuse, she worked out all my knots, and massaged all the tension away. She definitely put her muscles into it, as I like my massages extremely firm and hard. She was friendly, and found every tense spot on my back. She also does facials, which I will be trying on my next visit.
The only thing that I would have liked was if she used essential oils in her massage, and a better lotion. I didn’t say anything, so I’m sure if I asked, she probably would have done it.
I used a groupon, so the price was definitely right. This isn’t one of those places where they massage you in a chair in a room with tons of people. It’s a legit massage place. So the price is very reasonable for this service.
April is excellent, and I will be back for many more stress reliving massages!
A quick note, she is a one woman team, so if she doesn’t pick up the phone, leave her a voicemail, she’ll call right back.
This place is a little hard to find, it’s tucked away in a courtyard of small stores, a block from the beach, so after your massage, a relaxing walk on the beach should be in order :)

April really is a wonderful person, she is very professional and is highly educated and skilled when it comes to massage therapy. She has always arrived on time, has had really great suggestions for me regarding how to improve my overall health, healing and stress management. I highly recommend her.
