Avenue

I love this store! The girls are always helpful and let you know what sales are going on that day. They are very helpful when you call and ask for help finding a item or size to have held for me till I get off work… The girl I believe a manager named NAKITA ALWAYS ALWAYs goes out of her way super helpful very friendly and no mater what day or time I come in always has a great attitude. Love this place

I have spent so much money in this store and was treated terribly by the manager. They lost my business. I will spend money where I get good service. Blanca the manager helped me. The boots that I bought hurt my feet after wearing them. I wanted to receive store credit or exchange them. Because I purchased the boots with their credit card I did not have any say about returning a barely worn product. My advice is to NOT use Avenue in store credit card or purchase any shoes from them. As a consumer that has never abused their returning merchandise system I felt Wronged. Their clothing has been terrible lately, I wanted to make a purchase and could not find anything of good quality or style. You are best off to Shop at Ross, Torrid or Dress Barn for classy and stylish plus size clothes and shoes. I was a GOOD customer and for wasting my time, stealing my money and giving me poor customer service. I am paying off my card and will never return.

Horrible customer service. Rude, impatient, loud, poorly dressed sales person. I wanted to exchange a pair of shoes I purchased on the website. When I received the shoes they looked dirty and had a rip. The sales person was so unprofessional about the situation I left. I love shopping and can put up with lousy places to get a good deal but Avenue has overpriced cheap merchandise and horrible staff. That is a bad combination. I have never bought another thing from them and never will again. I am part of a plus size group I made sure to tell every person In the group about my experience in hopes they would never return to Avenue.

Their clothes are extremely over priced and frankly, just not cute. They have a lot of «traditional» big girl clothes… a lot of busy patterns. I’ve found a couple of solid colored shirts on a clearance rack but I would never pay their full prices for the quality and look of clothes they sell. Customer service is just ok. The staff sometimes seem more interested in talking with eachother than working the register.

I’m one of those rare women who actually dislikes shopping for clothes. After a sports injury, I gained some weight that I’ve never been able to take off. Consequently, I’ve hated having to find stuff to wear.
That is, I hated it until I found Avenue. This store specializes in women’s clothing sizes 14 to 32. Even though I’m closer to the smaller end of that scale, I feel better shopping at Avenue than I do anwhere else. There’s no sense of «Bony is Beautiful» in the store.
Somewhere along the line, somebody got it into their heads that fashion for larger ladies meant covering them up with yards and yards of flowing fabric. Avenue changed all that. They carry contemporary styles, materials, colors and accessories for women of size that will satisfy just about any age group.
The customer service is just great. The ladies who work there really go the extra mile to help you out, and I’ve never yet been disappointed by choosing to shop there either for the quality of clothing and accessories or the quality of assistance you receive while you shop.
I typically shop once a year, which usually coincides with Avenue’s annual sale. I end up with a great wardrobe for the coming year at about $ 300. That’s everything from the slinky under-​things to the career wear items, shoes, jewelry, and everything in between. Even perfume!
I understand there’s an Avenue in Escondido as well, though I haven’t yet visited their location. I really like the gals in the University Square Avenue and once I find a spot I like, that’s typically where I continue to go.
I highly recommend Avenue to anybody who thinks it is no fun to shop because they wear a size 14 or above. Stop in and see if the ladies at Avenue can rekindle that pure shopping satisfaction for you as they did for me.
