Bath Fitter

I would not use this company again if the product was free. The original installer did a terrible job and we stop the installation. It too a month to come an agreement which was a $ 750 refund and live with the crappy installation. If you are interested in this product go look at their show room and you will see the level of workmanship they do or don’t do. In addition to the poor workmanship their customer service is a joke! The manager is very difficult to work with, very condescending and very rude! Buyer be ware!!!

It was hard for me to believe that we would have a whole new tub and shower surround in one day, but it’s true! We found Bath Fitter at the Home Show in Del Mar. We got two quotes (one from another installer at the same home show) and Bath Fitter was much more affordable and, offered some great financing options! We needed to replace a 36 year-​old builder grade, fiberglass tub and surround. It was cracking and looked awful! Our installer, Aaron was amazing! He arrived right on time and quickly got to work! It was incredible, watching our bathroom transform! The whole process took about eight hours. These guys have it down!
Aaron needed a part and it was quickly delivered by another Bath Fitter employee. And, at the end of the day, Greg, who we met at the home show, dropped by to check out the work.
I would most definitely hire them again! I wish I had done it sooner!

We had our old tiled shower replaced with a white subway-​tile look acrylic yesterday. We love tile, but any tiled shower will eventually have issues with crumbling grout. We wanted something that would last for years and be very low-​maintenance.
It was a big project – the installer arrived at about 8:30 and didn’t leave until the job was perfectly completed at about 6:30pm. We had the shower tiled all the way to the crown molding at the ceiling. We also have a window on the shower wall, which involved cutting the acrylic and installing new molding. The installer also replaced our old plumbing with new copper pipes. The new fixtures are beautiful!
From our initial visit to the showroom, where Shelly showed us around, to the estimate from the salesperson and then the installation, Bath Fitter has been excellent. They answered all our questions and were never pushy.
I would recommend them to anyone.

Instead of having the tub reglazed, BF decided to contact Bath Fitter.
Barbara from Bath Fitter was fast to come out, sell the product, take measurements and secure a down payment. She told us we will be contacted by Bath Fitter to install the new tub before Christmas 2015. Christmas past and the New Year past… we did not hear from Bath Fitter, so my BF decided to call.
Shelly scheduled for a technician to come January 22 from 7 – 9 am. Every reputable business calls and confirms appointments a day prior. Surprisingly Bath Fitter does not do that.
Isaac, the technician… however nice and personable he was… He came an hour and 20 minutes late for the appointment. After the work was done, which took over 4 hours. It was so disappointing to see such a sloppy work with that amount of time. The tub was obviously not a perfect fit. The corners were uneven, the inside of the tub was warped, there is a space between the old tub and the new bath fitter that was placed on top of it. New tub did not stick or mold on top of the old tub.
We called Bath Fitter the next day to express our utmost disappointment. We requested for Bath Fitter to come back and fix the tub, we also requested Shelly to send a different technician to fix it. Shelly was adamant on sending the same technician «so he can learn from his mistakes» after we expressed our disappointment.
For the amount of $ 2,000, I think it’s only fair that Bath Fitter sends a professional technician who will not just do a good job, but will meet the expectation promised to us prior to the job being done. We don’t want our tub being used to train their technician.
According to Shelly, she scheduled a different technician to come February 19 from 7 – 9 am. My BF even called their office Feb. 17 to confirm the appointment. Shelly assured that a technician is coming February 19, So we took time off from work.
February 19 came, 9 am past, no one has called and no technician came. We called Bath Fitter and was informed by Eila that Shelly scheduled THE SAME technician to come and he is running late AGAIN!!! I don’t understand why the same technician was sent out, I thought we made it clear to Shelly to send a different technician. After being informed that the same technician was coming, we had no choice but to wait. To our surprise, 10:15 past, no one came and nobody called from Bath Fitter.
My BF decided to call Bath Fitter AGAIN at 10:30. Eila told us that no one was coming and that there has been an emergency… WHAT!!! At what point were we supposed to be informed that no one was coming? Why didn’t they call us as soon as they found out?
Eila was nice enough to listen to our frustration but was not able to do anything but take down notes. She even said that one of the Bath Fitter management was going to contact us after a meeting, after the meeting… no one called.
It is apparent that Shelly, Bath Fitter owners and their management DOES NOT CARE about their customers. No one in their office bothered to call and apologize for wasting our precious time.
Bath Fitter has inconvenienced us SO MUCH!!! Customer Satisfaction is NOT a priority. They are quick to come out and take your money but they don’t follow through… DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Great service very helpfully during the entire process. They even offered to help me fill out the VA paperwork. Guy person who showed up to install was very polite and answered all my questions. He worked over eight hrs both days. My shower is a walk in shower that spans the length of my entire bathroom so to took longer to install something I was told when they came to do the inspection. Will use them again when it is time to redo an other bath.

Update: I found a cheaper option with JF Tile and Construction. Highly recommended!
Barbara was an excellent salesperson. She was very knowledgable of the product that she was selling & had sufficient samples with her. The site shows you a variety of options in terms of design. They were my 1^st bath quote so I really had no point of comparison. Eventually, I found some comparable pricing from local tile companies who can do acrylic-​tile work & all-​tile work for us. The add-​ons such as organizers or doors were more expensive with Bath Fitter so in the end, they were about a thousand dollars over the other quotes.
We had three days to cancel but since our 2^nd quote wasn’t coming in until the 4^th day, I had asked her to just cancel instead. She stated that she could definitely wait & extend the waiting period. The only issue we had is that her company cashed out our deposit on the 3^rd day. I had contacted Barbara immediately & she said that they don’t really leave checks laying out. I guess it made sense although I feel that a day of waiting wouldn’t be that bad.
The reason for us not going with Bath Fitter was simply because we had other small jobs around the kitchen. Combining it with the bathroom reno will be saving us more money in the end. In summary, I definitely had a great experience with the consult. The reimbursement just took a little longer than we would like. That is exactly why I wish that the company did not cash our check and just gave us that extra day, as we were told. That would’ve saved me over a week waiting for our money back.
In general, Bath Fitter is pretty straightforward, quick option over having your bathroom tiled. We have one more bathroom open for renovation. I’m not closing my doors on them just yet. :)

While this company appears to be good, they do not have a wide selection. The salesman was good and seemed very trustworthy. He had some good pictures but not allot of on hand samples.

I was fortunate to see these folks at the San Diego Home Show in January and went to this show room recently.
First off, Shelly the office manager was SO incredibly accomodating to my schedule that she opened the store on HER DAY OFF to allow us to visit on the only day I could bring my mother.
Their product line of customer made QUALITY acrylic tub and shower units is very impressive. This is a unique supplier in that their manufacturing process produces one-​piece acrylic walls that are heat-​fit into the corners to absolutely preclude any leakage behind their product (i.e., a MAJOR strong point against mold growth) and structural walls.
The design and quality of these are evident by the recent orders they have booked for multi-​floor bathroom renovations in national hotel chains here is SD.
In sum, the estimated proce range for a tub to shower enclosure unit was very reasonable in my mind, especially considering that no demo of our existing bathroom wal tile will know be necessary. A final strong point is that their crew handles any plumbing changes involved (e.g., drains and re-​location of tub water faucet /​valves.

Had Bath Fitters redo our shower. .loved it. But was surprised there was no customer service follow up. No one called to see if we were happy with the work. Okay. no problem. But now… sixth months later, starting to see some issues, I.e., tub insert starting to separate from the caulking. The shelf insert as well. Called .they will be out the first of the year. Stay tuned

They have great products and the people are really nice

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Bath Fitters. From the first consult visit, to follow-​up, scheduling and installation, everything went as planned and promised. In spite of a few un-​foreseen challenges on day 1, the team persevered and stayed on schedule, coming up with a creative solution and even Justin the manager showed up, rolled up his sleeves and pitched in. This has been the most stress-​free, pleasant remodel I have ever done. Aaron was extremely thorough, high attention to detail and professional. I would totally recommend bath fitters to anyone looking for a smooth, as promised, and beautiful bathroom update. I love my new shower! Thank you Justin, Aaron, Patrick and Shelly.

I had a complete bath install done by Tony this week. I was so impressed by the quality of the work. A real A to Z job, all the tiny details were completed beautifully.
I now have a fantastic bathroom that I no longer feel like I am apologizing for.

Awful customer service. After our new shower was incorrectly installed, the General Manager refused to return our calls to resolve the issue. Would not recommend this place as their service does not match their price.

We just had a new tub and shower installed by Bath Fitter last week and we could not be happier with how it turned out. The quality and the look of the bath is absolutely incredible. It has given the bathroom a much more contemporary and stylish look which is not only great for us to enjoy, but also increasing the value of our home. The quality of the fixtures is excellent and there were a lot of options for how we could set up for multiple shower heads. i would definitely recommend Bath Fitter and go see Justin if you need anything– he’s the best!
