Me and my family hired bekins to move us from California to Montana and I have never been so enraged in my entire life. I took pictures of the damage they caused and of the way they packed the truck. The majority of our boxes were crushed or split down the side. My furniture, scratched, dented, destroyed. We paid 12,000 dollars to move this stuff and most of it is going to have to be replaced. I am in the middle of a claim, but my warning to you. STAYAWAYFROMBEKINS. if I could, I would give zero stars. They broke my work bench because they packed it on the side on the bottom and put boxes and boxes and boxes on the legs breaking the legs. Dented and scratched my fridge. I have never been so upset in my life. I downloaded the Unilocal app just because I want everyone to be warned of the way they treat your things. P. S.CHECKYOURPAPERWORK. the man who fills out the paper work will write p.b.o. crushed. Meaning any box you packed(packed by owner) they write it’s crushed so they aren’t responsible for any damage. But I WILLBE fighting it if they give me issues about it.

God aweful moving company… I hired Bekins near Escondido, CA for my small(1,300 pd.) move to Belmar NJ. I had my doubts when the salesman Gary came to my home for the estimate. He was flaky and babbled on and on. I felt like telling him to shut up. But, Bekins was a reputable company and the price was decent. So, my shipment was picked up on November 4, and I am still waiting for delivery. It was promised between the 10 – 23, with most likely around the 15th. WRONG!!! The only reason I gave it one star is because the supervisor for the company hired a pack and crate company to deliver my shipment. Oh, and I was compensated 50.00. Wait till everyone sees my review on the BBB site! Disgusted.

My experience in moving from San Diego, CA to Walnut Creek, CA was extremely frustrating. Everything was great from the beginning, from getting my estimate to planning my move. They even showed up on time to deliver. What happened after that was terrible. They did not deliver several boxes! they lost over $ 3,000 of my personal valuables which I will never get back. I purchased claim insurance and submitted a claim, which was denied in it’s entirety. They say I signed off on all my belongings before the drivers left. There is NOWAY you can go through all boxes and items with the drivers, as they want to leave IMMEDIATELY after dropping off items. I wrote on the forms«DIDNOTTAKEINVENTORY». I am glad I did because I’m taking Bekin’s to court. WHen I wrote their San Diego office, the receptionist(Honey) said«before you write negative reviews online, think about „what’s right!“. If we have to pay you for lost items, it comes out of our driver’s pockets, not ours». Wow, what a company. BEWARE!
