Dr. Bello is extremely thorough. You can tell that she has a passion for what she does because she is very expressive when telling you all the things you need to know about your optic health. At 43 years old I’ve been having eye exam since I am 13 and I can say that this was the most comprehensive exam I have ever had.

My husband and I had a great experience here. It was our first time here and everything went so smooth. I went in to set up an appointment and was given a same day one for later that day. It was perfect! Front office staff was friendly and the optometrist did such a professional job. We finally found our go to optometrist!

I came to visit SD to run the Rock n Roll marathon last summer and ran out of disposable contacts, I cant run blind so I came to see Dr. Bello. She was professional, efficient, and very helpful. I would highly recommend her.

My first experience with Dr. Bello in 2013 was positive. The front desk personnel were very friendly. Dr. Bello was professional and I was in and out in a timely manner. The wait time for the trial contact arrived in a timely manner as well. It was exactly how I expected it to be, routine, in and out especially as a cash paying customer. My second experience with Dr. Bello on 8÷29÷14 was completely different. So I arrived 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment. There were others in the office so it appears it was a busy time so I let it slide that the front desk personnel didn’t acknowledge or say a single word to me. So I sat and wait patiently. The people that were in front of me were taken care off just as they should be. After 10 – 15 minutes someone arrives quite late to their scheduled appointment time and I’m still sitting there patiently waiting. Sure I’m thinking to myself that during that time I could have been helped or have given the necessary test’s before the late arrival. Sure it bothered me that I wasn’t helped first when I arrived in a timely manner while the other was super late. I let it slide since my appointment time was after the late arrival. Being seen by Dr. Bello was routine. She is as professional as she could be. Don’t have any high expectations or you will be disappointed. I was in that office longer than I should have been. I feel that the front desk personnel were very biased and could have handled my early arrival much better. She didn’t treat me the same way she treated the late arrival. I called them after 9 days just to check if it my trial contacts came in and they say it takes 7 – 10 business days. Well it’s been over 3 weeks already and I have yet to receive a call. What is the point of me going in for a contact lens exam and not receive any trial contacts? I’m at the point where I really don’t care for their explanation because it wouldn’t rectify the situation. I’ll be a cash paying customer elsewhere.

I would give her a 0 if it let me. Optometry department is the worst I have ever seen. Dr Ruby Bello is uncaring and anti military. She only cares about the mighty dollar. I was down in SD from Edwards in Rosamond ca and forgot my contacts. The same contacts I’ve been getting from costco for 6 years. All I asked her for was to sell me a trial set to get me through until I got home. Keep in mind she gets these free from the manufacture. She is so greedy that she wanted me to pay 89 dollars for one set. Even though they had my prescription on file. I explained my situation and she had no concern at all for me. All she wanted was her money. DONOTGOTOTHISDR… You can get a better exam other Dr at any other location for the same price or less
