Epic fail for Tierra Santa location! I bought a stationary set yesterday that turned out to be cards instead. I return to store to return after waiting 15 minutes at the counter and sending my husband to find a clerk I realize I left the credit card I purchased it with at home so I call home to get number I write it down for a woman named Bobbi who processes my return and gives me the original and return receipts. I leave and reach my car and realize she didn’t give me back my credit card number written on card paper with expiration date, so I return to store and ask for my CC number and she starts searching under counter and then hands me the card. I ask her if she just threw my card number in the trash and she responds no I threw it in the recycle bin. I respond that’s the best you do with someone’s credit card information is recycle? Not shred to protect someone’s credit card information and this very unprofessional woman responds with an attitude«well you could have asked for it but you didn’t» At that point I ask for manager and she replies She isn’t here with a smile. I cannot understand how she disregarded the protection of credit card information that I entrusted to a Hallmark employee and how unprofessionally she responded. As a customer I assume that part of the service being provided by a trusted retail store is that my personal information is protected the way she as a customer would expect another retailer or medical facility to protect hers and she failed miserably and with a attitude! Elam’s/Betty’s Hallmark failed for not having a direct policy in dealing with this information as well. I’m also upset that I was told the manager would not return to store for another few days. Really customers with issues should be able to reach a manager immediately. I just read another review that this store has racists/employees that stereo type. I also agree!! There have been times where I entered the store before or after work and received better service, tonight I was in sweats and couldn’t get someone to stop stocking cards to wait on me while I waited at the counter. Sadly I love stationary and suppose from here on out I will be at papaya or !!

Horrible customer services Those workers are racists! 1. When Americans walked into the store, they welcomed them in a very friendly manner such as saying hi, or how are you doing, when me went in, they stared at me and looked down on me or something, Well, then I was just walking around the store, and There was the other Asian Lady went in, they did the same thing, they just ignored her, and of course the other americans walked in, they became friendly again, not sure if this is considered as racists 2. Then, there were one lady asked them some questions, they were just laughing and chatting the whole time and ignored her 3. When a lady asked them if those clothes had different sizes, they said«OH, we dont know, and they are all there» 4. When the asian lady asked them questions, they just ignored her From all observations, Those two workers were not really working in the store, They did not help the customers, They ignored the customers, They are racists and They were playing around and chatting around Question for the owner: WHYYOUHIRETHOSELADIES??? It was around 6pm, even its an evening time, customer services still important! Horrible customer services whatsoever WILLNEVERGOTOTHISSTOREAGAIN totally not recommended! So disappointed!

I am very sad to report that due to ever rising costs this Hallmarke store is going out of business. I am so bummed. I won’t be able to my crazy card/trinket fix so close by anymore. You know it sucks when the cute mom and pop shops are put out of business. Something’s gotta be done!
