Great doctor, we love going to him, very caring and takes special and direct interest in each child. Because he is a single practice he knows us well. It’s very personalized service!

I am really impressed with Dr. Bissonnette. He truly takes his time in getting to know your child. I never felt rushed during any office visits. My child had a pretty severe case of reflux as an infant and he asked so many questions and really tried to get to the root of the problem and came up with a great plan of action. He really seems to care about his patients. He has taken the time to return my calls personally and discuss my concerns.
What really blew me away was the phone call I received today. Unfortunately, we switched insurance companies and could no longer see Dr. Bissonnette. I should have let him know at the time, but we got so busy I forgot. That was about 7 months ago. Today he called (yes, you read that right, Dr. Bissonnette personally called, not his secretary) to check in. He had assumed we switched doctors, but wanted to see if I wanted records faxed to our new doctor. He then spent several minutes speaking with me about my child. I could not believe the level of service he provides. I only wish we could switch insurance plans and return to him. I highly recommend taking your child to see him. You will definitely be in good hands!

Dr. Bissonnette was recommended by a friend and a nurse who was the Scripps Memorial Hospital tour guide when I was pregnant with my first child. I now have three children and Dr. B’s been so wonderful and caring. Wish I had a pediatrician like Dr. B when I was a child.

I will never take my son to another pediatrician. Dr Bissonnette is the real deal. He doesn’t work in a cookie cutter assembly line practice where each patient gets only 5 minutes of his time and could possibly be double billed if you ask more than one question.
Dr Bissonnette bends over backward to get you into his office as soon as you call. He makes you feel like a priority to him and will sit and answer and reassure you that you are choosing the correct method of treatment. I appreciate that he listens and truly cares about my child. We have an ally in our corner with Dr Bissonnette. And we aren’t going anywhere else. I love his accommodating staff and their «no problem» attitude they all share. This is my kind of doctor. Now, I need to find a Dr Bissionnette for me. :)

I have three kids and so a good, trusted pediatrician is very important to have. Dr. B is, by far, the most personal, attentive, and devoted pediatrician our family has ever had. He operates a private practice (which makes a BIG difference) in a new building just at the end of Mira Mesa Blvd. The location is minutes from our house and there is always somewhere to park, albeit parking is meant for people who drive small cars and not minivans.
We’re always able to get in to appointments, the staff is amazing– and they even have made follow-​up calls asking how my kids were after an injury!
Wait time is usually pretty decent– though I can always call and find out how the schedule is looking that day to find out if they are running late to save myself the wait.
Dr. B is always interested in answering questions, always interested in hearing my observations, and has never contradicted my philosophy of minimal medical intervention. It seems like it’s so hard to find a doctor in California who doesn’t give a hard time about home birthing, individualized shot plans, and homeopathic remedies. He has been the one doctor who doesn’t immediately whip out the prescription pad when I say my kid has been sneezing or drooling snot for a week. What a relief to finally meet a doctor who is concerned that parents go through all the homeopathic options first before writing up a presciption for antibiotics.
He is great with the kids and my little ones never are scared of him or of going. This is saying a lot, since doctors’ offices are the ones who give shots almost every visit for the first two years of their life!
The only trouble we’ve ever had with their office was the one day Dr B. was out and a sub doctor was in. I don’t even remember her name, but she wasted my time by making me wait an hour and a half before seeing her, and then wasted it completely by not listening and not helping at all; she was also pretty rude. Needless to say, I will NOT go to a sub doctor next time.
Anyway– Dr. B. is amazing and the best pediatrician we could recommend to anyone who has children.
