Great Shop! I’ve had my hair cut by both Woody and Pix and both did an awesome job. So glad I was able to find a great shop so close to my place. They’re always accommodating and able to take me when I call in for an appointment. If you’re looking for a barber in PB I would highly recommend them!

These guys are really good at what they do and provide a more laid back and authentic experience than other shops in town. Chris even hooked me up with a Budweiser while he cut my hair. If you’re looking for a men’s haircut in San Diego don’t hesitate.

My boyfriend got his hair cut here last week and they did a fantastic job. I haven’t seen him so satisfied with a barber in a while. They were really nice: gave him a beer, super chatty, and very accommodating (he only called the day before his appointment and they were able to get him in right away). Woody cut his hair and let us know that they were trying to make the whole place more comfortable so they’re doing construction and it will have a nice patio outside soon!
Tip: they only accept cash so we had to run to 7 – 11 to get cash out but wasn’t too big of a deal since the ATM there didn’t charge a fee.

(Yes, I’m a girl leaving this review) I called and made an appointment with Woody to get my undercut shaped up. He was a little hesitant at first explaining that he doesn’t cut long hair, but he let me explain that I already had the bottom part buzzed and I just wanted some simple lines. I showed up and he knew what to do once I flipped my hair up. Woody took me in, I cracked open a beer, and had a nice little chat. Great service, no BS, friendly, yet professional. Cool little shop.

Fantastic Barbershop!
Saw that they were local and not too far, so I tried them out. Woody was very professional, chill and held a great conversation.
They recommend you schedule an appointment but you do not have to. I was a walk-​in and he helped me right away.
Even if there was a wait, it would totally be worth it! The price was very fair, for how much effort he put into the cut. Will definitely be a regular at this place from now on!

These guys are legit. Chris cut my hair and Woody cut my buddy’s and we couldn’t be happier with our cuts. Chris fixed my hair after getting wrecked by another barber and my hair looked amazing when he was done. These guys are talented craftsmen and have truly honed the skills of their trade. You cannot and will not go wrong when you get a cut from them. I recommend BLKHRT to anyone and everyone. If you’re in the area and want a haircut call them up. Don’t go anywhere else. The shop is cool and the atmosphere is chill. Plus the life advise is free, but not guaranteed. I got some and it was good. Looking forward to coming back.

My first time here and I’ll certainly be back. Very laid-​back place and Woody did an excellent job. I like that they take appointments since many barber shops don’t. It’s just nice not to have to wait if you remember to make one, but I was a walk-​in this time and was fortunate enough not to have a wait.

Found my new local barber here. Got a fresh cut here on 2⁄1 from Woody and he was very professional and a great person to chat with. Very interesting guy with a great story. The shop has a positive and unique vibe to it. I’d definitely recommend this place!

I brought my 3 ½ year old son in to get a haircut and this was his first time at a Barber Shop. The atmosphere is so chill and inviting. Woody was super patient with my son and made it a really positive experience for him. Not only was he super nice but also extremely talented. The cut /​style looked great and we both left super happy. Super talented guy and I’d definitely recommend him to family and friends. It’s great to see a kid friendly Barber Shop. It’s cash only so don’t forget the cash… which I did haha… but fear not! There is a 7⁄11 on the same block with an ATM. I’d recommend getting cash first of course. Woody is also the owner of the shop and a great guy. This place is awesome!

I’ve been going to Woody (owner and lead barber) for the past 6 – 8 months or so. He’s great.
For starters, at other barbershops I’ve previously frequented, scheduling was always an issue. I work in commercial real estate so my schedule changes by the hour. Woody has been super accommodating and will take walk-​ins. Huge.
Additionally, the prices are super reasonable and the quality is outstanding. The guys are welcoming and the shop is nice and efficient.
I highly recommend giving them a try if you have not.

Not going to lie, I drive from Carlsbad all the way down to Pacific Beach to get my hair cut here. Pix is one of the best barbers I’ve had and always cuts the cleanest hard-​part and straight razor shave I could ask for. This place is small, genuine and just a dope place to chill while getting the normally mundane hair cut. I look forward to getting my haircut because I come in looking half homeless and leave feeling fresher than Febreeze. I highly recommend you check this place out next time you want to look better than Kayne thinks Kayne looks.

I was down in PB riding my bike when I stumbled upon this place and decided to stop in and give them
A shot. It’s a smaller shop but it had great i’m ambience and a welcoming chill vibe. I was greeted by barber named «Pix» who chopped me up just as I asked and made me laugh while doing so, I’ll def be coming back.
