I also found out about Stanly through a Groupon deal. To schedule an appointment, I called Stanly and left a message and Stanly returned my call within an hour. It was nice because I was able to schedule my massage very easily and with no hassle. Also, the place was easy to find and there was plenty of street parking available around the location.
Regarding the massages, STANLY is a GODSEND! His hands and arms are like pieces of magic that melt away all your soreness and back pain! The first massage I requested was a deep tissue massage and I have to say it was the BEST deep tissue massage that I have ever had in my life! I have been getting massages for about 15 years and by far, Stanly is the BEST!!!
I have received massages at those chain places such as Massage Envy, I’ve had massages from masseuses who work in chiropractor’s offices, and I’ve even had my share of Asian massages in the US and Asia. However, none of these places or masseuses match up to Stanly! I am a huge fan of deep tissues massages so I judge masseuses based on how thoroughly and deep they massage my joints. Most places just call their massages deep tissue, but they are just normal massages and are very weak. They are horrible. Stanly, however, knows exactly the right way to do deep tissue!
Stanly also asks me before every massage which area I really want to focus on. This is great because whenever I go to him, I always have soreness and pain in different areas. Mostly I focus on my back and neck and he is an expert at making you feel so amazing! He is so good I have to get massages from him weekly and he is always able to squeeze me in. One time I even had to cancel on him two times, but he was really nice about it and was able to very easily schedule the next available appointment for me.
Stanly is so amazing that I have even started personal training with him. Not only is he a great masseuse, but he is the best personal trainer too! Talk about knocking out two birds with one stone. Sweet! :-) I am one happy girl to have found him!

I came to Stanly after buying a certificate on LivingSocial. When I called to schedule my appointment I got a voicemail and I left my date preferences and my contact information. I received a call back about an hour later and the entire booking process was really easy. I will say that I booked about a month in advance. I can’t testify to any of the other reviews, but I found him to be quite professional and kind.
I had no trouble finding the place using my GPS. I don’t know about everyone else but when I’m not entirely sure where I’m going I tend not to arrive late. When you pull up in front of the building Bodywork Solution is on the front facing the street (right hand side of the building) so it’s not too difficult to find.
Stanly was waiting and ready when I arrived for my 5pm appointment. Since it was my first time I filled out a quick paper that showed him what I needed done and any areas I wanted extra focus on and it was time to start.
I’ll be upfront, I am a massage snob. My aunt happens to be a phenomenal massage therapist so I am quite picky as to the quality of a massage. Stanly did a great job. He was sure that the room temperature was comfortable and that the pressure amount he was using was just right. Blissful 90 minutes! I also appreciated that the location was quiet so there weren’t any real distractions. I’m currently training for a half marathon so I definitely needed some work done. Afterwards I felt like 1 million bucks! I thought he had great hands and great technique. I will definitely be back.

My husband purchased a Groupon for a 60 minute massage with Stanley at Body Works Solutions. I called to schedule and Stanley was out of the country for some time. I called about a month later and scheduled an appointment for 11 am the following week.
The location is challenging to find and his direct line not listed on their website. I arrived about 10 minutes late. I called twice and texted and he did not answer. Around 11:25 he called me back and said he was already 20 minutes away but that we could reschedule. He told me that it was my fault that he left as I was late and did not call. I was fully prepared to have a much shorter appointment as it would need to end by 12, as scheduled. I understanding that I was late.
I explained all of this to Stanley: about the phone number and the directions, and that my appointment was from 11−12pm. Why then at 11:10 would he leave? He said that people are always blowing off his appointments and that I should have called. If that is happening then he needs to change his business practices. Call to confirm the day before and if a client is late, call them to make sure they are on their way and offer better directions. I told him I was not interested in rescheduling due to the tone of our conversation (nor am I interested in taking off my clothing for a massage with a man being aggressive towards me on the phone) I let him know I would be cancelling my Groupon for his services. He began to «flip out» and I hung up.
He texted me back a couple minutes later stating «Blame yourself for not be on time. You should be shame of yourself for blaming me for your own fault. U late and u didn’t call. Respect people time next time» «Next time say I’m late and I’m sorry.»
There will not be a next time! I reserved your services from 11 – 12. You should respect my time. What a horrible way to do business. I would give no stars if it was an option.

My husband and I are great fans of Stanly Namoa’s massage work as we have been clients of his for the last ten months and go every other week. Stanly has always been on time and very professional in providing us with the best deep tissue massages we’ve ever had. We have been getting massages for the last twenty years and Stanly is exceptional at what he does. I have TMJ problems so he spends extra time on my head working on sensitive, very painful muscles and I feel so much better after my session. He also is strong and able to do the deep tissue work both my husband and I crave. It’s a healing experience and we enjoy our time with Stanly always leaving feeling like the weight of the world has been lifted from our shoulders. I recommend Stanly to anyone wanting a great massage at a great price!

This review is about 6 months overdue for being published but I feel it is important to share as Stanley from Bodywork Solution has no business sense and is a waste of time.
I made an appointment a month in advance by calling Stanley directly. Everything was all set, or so I thought. Day of appointment I drive to the address. Having a hard time finding it I call the number, no answer. I luckily find the business right at my 6pm appointment time to find it is locked. I call again and leave a message. I wait 15 minutes and leave. I also write an email regarding the situation. By the time I get home, Stanley calls back and tells me he is out out to dinner, unapologetic, and states he will call me the next day. I am pissed but nothing I can do. I was really looking forward to my massage too.
When he calls the next day I explain that we had an appointment and he asks how it was made, I state I spoke directly with him a month ago, he states he must have not written it down and email communication is better, completely unapologetic again. He asks when I would like to reschedule for, I let him know I didn’t.
Do not waste your time. His work may be good but it’s hard to know when he has a reputation for forgetting appointments he himself schedules.

I would give this guy 0 stars if I could. Poor communicator who spent 6 weeks going back and forth on email telling me he was not being paid for the 2 certificates I bought on Half Price San Diego and could not schedule me. Half Price San Diego informs me they paid him and Stanly got confused.
He finally agrees to schedule me and my wife and then he calls me this morning telling me he was double booked and had to cancel me after agreeing to schedule appointments for me and my wife tonight 6:30 — 8:30. He refused to honor his commitment today but said he could book us Friday noon-​2pm during our work day-​not an option.
Stanly get your act together and come up with a better scheduling system and a backup plan when you do double book. Be very careful booking any appointments with this guy as he does not do what he says he will do.
