Very clean and quiet area. Not crazy like some other places. Never had an issue here. Girls are friendly and respectful. Need to update hours on website – went one Saturday at 6 and they were closed. :-(sad face.

Always helpful knowledgeable friendly staff, great lotions, small boutique with SoCal chic, and best of all, roast upon request, 12 mins in the stand up Saturn is like… Why sit in a plane for 8 hours when you have a slice of Caribbean sun in Carmel Valley !! It was Molly today, but you’ll always get enameled elemental bronze and enjoy the experience.

I am so disappointed! I was trying to make an appointment for an airbrush tan, and was trying to call in for TWO HOURS. The line kept giving me a busy signal, so I sent an email to the company asking that they please call me. No response. During my 6^th time calling, the phone finally rang, and rang, then went to voicemail. When I finally got through two hours later, the girl who answered told me that the person who does the airbrushing is out of the country. She did not even try to tell me about their other services that actually are available. Disappointed as I just moved to the area and was looking for my new go-​to spot.

I have been back a few times in the last couple of weeks (to get ready for summer of course!) and have to say I love the new boutique items but more importantly I love the staff /​owner … always ready to offer help and make sure I am comfy and happy with the services. they are so knowledgable.

I absolutely love this place. I work nearby and started coming here about 3 months ago. I tan regularly, sometimes multiple times a week. That staff is friendly and the owner is also very nice. The beds/​rooms are clean and there’s usually always a room available. Although I’m giving 5 stars I do have two suggestions: there should be baby wipes available in every room and there’s and overwhelming amount of merchandise (clothes, jewelry, etc.) crowding the front area. Besides those two things Cabana Tan is great! See you guys soon.

After a few successful airbrush tans I’m happy to give my vote for this place. Tan was applied evenly with no smudges or weird orange streaks I was afraid off. It lasted the 5 days they promised (I got the enhancer) and faded well with no mottled marks. They also got my color pretty accurately the first time I went. I haven’t tried the spray tan so this is just a recommendation on the airbrush tan.

As other people have mentioned, this place really is great overall. Molly and Brandy are very friendly, and professional. But (at least for me) it will unfortunately be awful as long as that girl from Puerto Rico (Amy?) remains employed there. She used to be so nice (I even, almost, gave her a free $ 120 pass to a local spa, on the very same day she revealed herself to be quite… double-​faced).
Several months ago, she apparently had had a bad day (or weekend) on a Monday morning, and she kept on talking back to me, with a general rude and arrogant way (I’m a client there, and just know that I always use booth #6, maybe booth #10… but she was just making it all very difficult for me; instead of just providing me the exact same services I always use in those rooms, she was bombarding me with crazy trivia about heat cycles and names of bronzers that I couldn’t answer). And instead of «turning it down a notch» she just kept on talking back to me, the more that I insisted that I just wanted «the same thing I’ve always done». The more I insisted she was out of place, the more she insisted she wasn’t.
I did mention this to Molly, but basically let it slide, figuring that I never usually come in on Mondays, and would probably just avoid her in the future by coming in on my usual Sundays. This worked great for several months, until a Sunday recently in December (Dec 21). On that day, I came in a bit after 3 pm, just for the usual: super-​quick stand-​up 6-​minute tan followed by quick mystic spray. But it took almost an hour to get out and on with my life!
She was there, and immediately I could tell that, just as I remembered that awful day months earlier, she did too, since instead of her bubbly self she was just unsmiling and curt
When I got in to spray in booth #10, the machine had not been turned on yet, even though she explicitly told me 5 minutes earlier that she would turn it on. So there I go, getting dressed again and walking all the way to the front. And instead of being helpful, she did her usual ‘looking at me as if I were an idiot’ (as if I haven’t done this long enough to know if the machine appears to be on; it even talks loudly when it’s on).
Finally she did turn it on and it was running as it should (as I’ve always known it to be on, for the past year or longer). I stepped in, it sprayed one time correctly and then the nozzle stopped moving side-​to-​side and instead just sprayed me on the center of the face. And in the next round, same thing, straight down the middle of my body in high concentration. So I got out of the machine and dried myself with a towel. She told me that I could clean off with a wet towel and then try again after she fixed it. So I cleaned up in the bathroom quickly and then waited for her outside of the booth while she fiddled with the machine.
But then she realized that she couldn’t fix it, and instead of just letting me into booth #11 (the other spray booth) as an alternative, she made me wait while allowing another client to go ahead of me (even though it was my turn and at this point I had been waiting the longest, on top of the unpleasantness of dealing with the over-​concentrated spray– which she never apologized for).
So this time I did place a complaint through their Website’s contact-​us form. Just today (Jan 4). Then I came in again, since it’s Sunday. And there she was again! (I had hoped I had just seen her on the previous Sunday because of the holidays, but this might be her new schedule). It all started… ok. And then all of a sudden she asked me if I was the one who had complained about her (apparently management don’t keep these communications private until the right time to talk to their employees privately; instead, they email the employee while the client is standing there, promoting a direct confrontation!). I told her it was out of place for her to talk to me directly about this and began to video-​record everything since it had become a direct confrontation at that point. She called me a liar, and threatened to call the police, have me kicked out for daring to record her.
She doesn’t know how to turn on machines, or respect clients (or their time). And other clients have apparently complained about her in the past (according to another employee). And management keeps her employed there, and they don’t deal with complaints correctly. Not good.

I appreciate the owner working with me and correcting their error. I continue to go back and enjoy their services

Love this place! Highly recommend! One of the best tanning beds I’ve used in a long time. And the gentleman that helped me in the front was very friendly and helped me with any questions I had.

Cabana Tan is great, it is always clean, the staff is friendly, and the price is right. They also have some great little items in the front of the store for sell. A great selection of lotions to choose from as well.

The staff is very friendly and RESPONSIBLE. The people who work there genuinely care about your tanning health and safety. It’s nice coming to a small salon like Cabana Tan, since the staff remembers you and keeps an eye on what beds you’ve been in, etc.
Although for me the location isn’t ideal, you really can’t beat the prices at this salon. A clean salon, friendly tanning experience, a beautiful golden tan, all at a very reasonable price? Sign me up!

Hi, usually I don’t post reviews But I decided to make an exception. I came to this place on Thursday afternoon during their promotion (airbrush and wine Thursdays) to tan for an event over the weekend. Well, where should I begin? First, a lady that did my airbrush was trying to sell me their «special» lotion for at least 5 minutes making feel uncomfortable with her pushiness. Also, I know from experience that when you are doing airbrush you are supposed to put lotion on your feet and palms to prevent them from turning too orange and looking like durt. The lady who helped me told me not to, and when I asked her twice about it said because SHE was doing it and it would’t be a problem. Result? I woke up with orange feet… Not exactly how I want to look for my brother-in-law’s wedding… Also, since my arms were sprayed on one side only, I had a nice uneven tan there. And yes I did ask about the arms, she told me not to worry, that was a mistake. And of course nobody offered me a glass of wine…

This is the only tanning salon I’ve ever been to so I don’t have much to compare it to.
The salon is clean. And they have a lot of tanning beds. The one that I use is called the Chronos: it’s some high pressure tanning bed or something. It looks all alien and space ship like which might explain why it costs $ 36 a freakin session (each tanning session for this machine can last up to 12 min). So, being the math genius that I am, I think that’s about $ 3 whole dollars per freakin minute! My goodness gracious.
BUT it really does produce a nice tan. I just can’t fathom how they can charge that much.
The turnover there is pretty high — I’ve seen some really nice front-​desk girls come and go. Haven’t been too impressed lately — a few of the girls seemed bored and almost rude when they see you.
Sometimes they have specials on their website or you can find coupons in the Buy 1 get 1 Free magazines I think.
If you don’t have time to go to the beach or you have a sun phobia, I think this place is a good place to try out.

This place has the most amazing girls working there. I have to tan to keep a nagging psoriasis problem at bay. Works really well. This is a really clean well maintained salon and you can get bronzed quick.
