Cesar’s Cigar and Spirits Lounge

Best place in downtown to have a drink and enjoy a smoke. Came into Cesar’s on Saturday night for my first time and was greeted by Jacob. He immediately recommended a cigar and a nice scotch. The Romeo y Julieta was a perfect smoke and very fairly priced compared to other lounges. The service was excellent and the selection was bountiful. I definitely see my friends and I coming back here very soon, either to enjoy a drink/​smoke or to visit the convivial staff!

Was in downtown over the weekend and found this place Cesar’s Cigar and Spirits Lounge. My coworkers and I never been or seen a cigar lounge so we decided to go in. As we entered we walked in to others enjoying their cigars and fine drinks. This place has a great atmosphere and the bartender Jacob knows his stuff he understands what mixes well with what cigar you want.

Came in here last Saturday night after leaving the bars pretty early. I don’t smoke cigars much but the guy behind the counter, Jake, recommended me a perfect java after giving me a few options. He even baited me into getting a nice Blanton’s Bourbon. Hard not to appreciate a place that can combine cigars and fine spirits in a nice place like that.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Was in the area last weekend and stumbled upon this place. Walked in and was greated by a Young Man named Jake behind the counter. I’m a noob when it comes to cigars, so I asked for assistance. Jake was able to pick me our a nice easy Mild smoke, exactly what I was looking for. Not only did they have a great selection of cigars, a amazing section of scotch. I am an avid bourbon/​scotch hunter/​drinker, so it was like I was dreaming with some of the spirits they had to offer! I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys cigars and fine spirits.

Very cool spot! My boyfriend and I were on vacation and happen to run into this spot. We were looking for a mellow spot to have a drink and just relax after walking around for quite awhile. He got a cigar and we ordered some beers and grabbed some very comfortable chairs on the patio on the side to chill. It was a great selection of cigars and amazing service! The friendly woman that was working was so helpful and so sweet! I would defiantly recommended stopping by here!

Stumbled across this gem! The ambiance was perfect! Bobby fixed me up with his special Irish Coffee! Great humidor and just an awesome time!

Bobby was a great bar tender very knowledgeable in drinks and cigars! Not pushy and very attentive will absolutely be going back

Fantastic! Was heated with unresolved lingering employment issues that require resolution! So I spotted Cesar’s on corner of 5^th and Island!
God gives us natural things to use such as spirits which far surpass artificial chemicals! Monks create liquors and wine is most used word in Bible!
Vodka my choice to relax and Kettle One!

Cool vibe, shiny and clean. Bobby knows how to run a joint. I left my credit card by mistake and I offered to have someone pick it up (I had already left San Diego when I noticed) and when I got in contact with him he said «And why the hell wouldn’t I mail it to ya? You were a customer!». I have not really had a business owner offer so much respect so I was very impressed.

Bob, the owner is THE BEST! We felt right at home here. From the Arturo Fuente Cigars, to the Redbreast Whisky, we came back here both nights were were staying down here. The ambiance was great and we loved the huge selection of drinks and cigars. Bob will hook you up. We can’t wait to go back!

I was there 5 minutes, spent $ 50.00. Some drunk idiot threatened me as my GF and I were enjoying our cigars and drinks… obviously they should have cut this guy off several drinks earlier. .we left. will never return.

Cesar’s Cigar Lounge is by far THE ABSOLUTE BEST cigar lounge in San Diego. It is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of espresso and your favorite cigar. Not only is the selection of cigars wide and diverse, they have a full bar to accommodate pairings. From craft beer to top shelf scotch, this is the place.
Located in the heart of San Diego’s Gas Lamp, it is a great place to start the night off or even unwind after a long day.

No style, and the overhead music is too loud, but it has a good selection, friendly atmosphere, and good prices.

Always a chill place to relax with a drink and a nice cigar after a hectic week. Great for tourist watching in the Gaslamp as well!

This is a nice little place. Came here mostly on the reviews saying what a huge selection of sticks. Meh. They don’t. It’s a nice humidor, but other reviews calling it a huge selection, don’t know any better and probably don’t smoke many cigars. It’s actually a bit below average. I liked the place but soon found out, most of the guys smoking there were drunk tourists. Par for the area I was told. No biggie but hard to enjoy a 30 dollar Ashton when there are 7 drunkin ass hats babbling about crap. Other issue is no parking anywhere.

Not sure how to really rate this place. I was looking for a place to smoke a cigar and have a drink, fairly late (midnight or so) on a Monday evening. Thats worth 4 or more stars right there. BUT.
Theres always a but.
I smoke cigars, and I know what they cost me. that being said, I dont mind paying a bit more for a cigar. but this place is a downright expensive! Please don’t tell me «Your buying by the stick». that aint gonna fly. But when youre the only game in town at that moment, you make the rules. and the rule is– add 10 bucks to your favorite stick if you wanna play.
I ordered a Fonseca Port to sip with my RP Vintage 1992. which I thoroughly enjoyed. I also had an espresso, which was also good, but no offer of a sambucca or anisette topper, as is traditionally done in most places.
The location is pretty central in the Gaslight district, there are many places to go before or even afterwards.
All in all, its a pretty cool place, interesting crowd and a fair selection of cigars if you want to pay the price.

Nice venue for an aficionado. Good drinks and prompt and knowledgeable service. Being from Dallas it seemed pricey and selection seemed limited. But it more than makes up in service. The seating is comfortable and easily accessible if you’re watching a sporting event. It seems to be a prime choice for regulars. Its next door to another cigar shop and a few restaurants. As a visitor I found it as a better choice for a smoke shop and convenient to make an evening out in San Diego.

I’m a NOOB when it comes to Cigar Bars, but I enjoyed every part of this one. The staff was great. The drinks were perfect! The conversation was good. The cigars were very good!
This will be a stop for me on every visit to San Diego.
