Cherokee Market

Very nice people. They have had my Rock Stars («rockies») 2 for $ 3 for years. Fred is super cool too. Nice selection of sodas and snacks.

Cherokee Market is your small time liquor store nestled right in suburban Normal Heights. You’ll find a descent selection of alcohol, snacks and convenience items here. I found the service pleasant and professional. The place is a little cramped for my liking. Also, considering that there is a grocery store and drug store right up the street, it makes Cherokee Market almost obsolete. The prices are a bit too high considering that 50-​something feet away, you will find 2 stores with a bigger selection of anything you can get here at a cheaper price. If it wasn’t for that, I’d say this place is pretty reasonable with prices. Overall though, I think Cherokee Market is a plain small time liquor store. Prices are high given its location. Though the service makes for a more pleasant experience than other shops, there just isn’t enough going on here to say I’d recommend it.

The owners are amazing ! Super friendly! They go out of their way to ensure that costumers feel welcomed && that they have everything that a clients want that they may not have had. Their prices are amazing and they have a wide range of products from hygiene, to wine, beer, candy, chips, can goods, hookah, tobacco, etc .
In short words, it’s a Mini-​Walmart, whatever they don’t have they don’t mind getting for your next visit, to better serve you! Must go

This is a great neighborhood market. They have a fairly good selection of craft beer. Fred the clerk said he could get any beer I wanted I just had to ask. Which for me is an awesome gesture considering I am kind of a beer nerd.

Love this place! The individuals working there have always been super friendly to me, and more than willing to help me find something. This is a great corner market for the area, and they have no problems with letting dogs walk in with you to pick something up (making it a great place to walk for beer with the dogs). I’ve been here for many basics… beer, toilet paper, cold water, wine… awesome corner store (and the prices are reasonable)!
