Today was my first time at this nice coffee house. I really liked the place. Great and fast service. They have a deal $ 6.99 all drinks for the first hour. A good place to chill or study. Drinks taste much better than Starbucks. You get %20 off on their signature blended drinks when you check in on Unilocal

Highly recommend the«Cuban!» Yum! The bread is thick and crunchy! With tons of pastrami! Cheese melts out of it. Huge, can only finish half. My girls had the turkey, avocado, spo H tomatoes cheese panini and said that was the new favorite sandwich and place to eat.

First time here this weekend. We ordered Bandito Burritos via the app and they were ready for us when we arrived. The burritos were amazing and we can’t wait to come back again soon!

I’ll start this with that I rarely give 5 star review but this place really earned it. Service was good. Be aware that everything is handmade so some patience is needed. This place is amazing and has really good coffee! Got the sweet potato pancakes and went«on the clock» for 11 bucks! This is a great deal considering the quality of the food and drinks! I will definitely be back! These are the places that we find on Unilocal that would have never found before!

Five stars for delicious food and drinks minus 2 stars for customer service. I wouldn’t recommend going on their 1 hr long«on the clock» unlimited drinks if you are a fast drinker. About 50 minutes into the«on the clock» I tried to order my 4th drink when I was addressed to as «wow, you’re a fast drinker huh» and«oh wow you’re not sharing with anyone right? Cause if people shared, we would be out of business pretty quick.» which prompted me to reply that I was thirsty, and honestly, it’s uncomfortable and unnecessary to explain that. Come on, guys, you’ve always been so polite and friendly, that draw me to liking your coffee shop. It offended me as a customer. Please don’t say things like that to your patrons :-(

I went here today cus I wanted to pick up food, and it’s right next to where my boyfriend lives. I got a bacon egg avocado panini and it was SOO good, like a mix of a bunch of great flavors. I also got an omega frappé which was delicious as well(; The service was absolutely great. Kenya was soo pretty and sweet. I explained to her that there might be an issue with my card and she offered to help me pay. I know where I’m going to eat whenever I’m visiting my boyfriend.

I’ve been going here for the past 2 years and it’s been awesome! Food is tasty, drinks are great and the service is outstanding. The place is adorned with comfortable chairs, board games and cool chalk art. Highly recommend! Shout outs to Gordon!

This place houses nearby students for their studies, and if I had reasons to study in the area, I might choose this spot! I came here in desperation for some caffeine before class. The service here is really friendly, and the menu is pretty diverse. I stuck with a latte, which was fine. It definitely wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t crave it anytime either. I’d come back in a pinch, and could see how people would be ALLOVER this place due to it’s menu options from drinks to food, as well as the casual atmosphere. I am perhaps all too obsessed with Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, etc to put this at the top of my coffee list, but for the people more welcoming of all coffees than I am, this will be a gem.

With a simple, unsweetened latte there is very little for bad coffee to hide behind. No worries, here! The espresso is smooth and strong and not made with burnt beans like some places we know. You will pay a small premium here, but judge the following: A pleasantly decorated little place with friendly nice local people running it(Luke comes in for special notice here, but they are all nice!) In addition to the great coffee, there are inventive breakfast items like the delicious and portable Clockwork stuffed biscuits; also really good standbys like the Clockwork Breakfast burrito, which contained the first perfectly cooked eggs I’ve ever had in a breakfast burrito(not to mention the ham, bacon, perfect sauteed onions and peppers, delicious potatoes and cheese). The burrito is six bucks(compare this to the 4-dollar, 2-pound bomb you get at Windmill Farms), but unlike the cheaper burrito this one is crafted as carefully as the coffee– no jarring combinations like chorizo with feta(ugh)! So to sum up– a local place run by nice people who give a damn about the product they serve you. Don’t be a big-shot, pay a little extra! And tell Luke Steve says Hi! :-)

This is a little gem in the La Mesa area if you are looking for a nice and clean place to study. They have some pretty interesting items on the menu, especially the blended drinks. My go-to is always the blended mocha, and I was pretty disappointed. It was not terrible, but not comparable to those within that vicinity. I would travel elsewhere for a better beverage. However, I would come here for the staff and the environment. They are pretty friendly and attentive and I loved how clean the space was. That’s A HUGE Brownie point for an OCD student like myself. Coffee — 3 stars Staff — 4 stars Environment & Cleanliness — 5 stars Average those three aspects, so… I would give this place a solid 4 stars!

As soon as I walked into this nook, I knew that I wanted to keep it my own little secret. I love coffee shops, and I’m particularly fond of ones like this: inviting, small, and equipped with a sea breeze scented restroom – because an hour after guzzling down my usual tea beverage, a clean and charming place to relieve my bladder is more than appreciated. But I am not here to blab about the restroom. I am here to blab about how this place has executed coffeehouse culture perfectly, starting with my drink… I got a soy chai tea latte, iced in a 16 oz glass(yes they serve in-house beverages in ceramic mugs and glasses; super cool). It was averagely priced, and the friendly barista(don’t know her name, but she was tall and had brown hair) told me that the chai was organic. She may have said it was fair trade too, although beyond the word«organic», all other alluring coffeehouse jargon has me lost. They brought the drink to my table and it was gone in about ten minutes flat, as I’ve never been fond of wasting time. Speaking of time, this place lives up to its funky name. There are clocks and many of them. It’s a cute concept, and they give the place a home-like vibe. There’s plenty of seating, at least when I went(mid-late evening) and the tables are fitting for all size study groups. This place appeals to a college-age crowd because of its proximity to SDSU’s campus, but people of all crowds would surely feel comfortable here. Unlike other cool coffeehouses(i.e. Lestat’s on Adams), there’s a private parking lot, so that means no circling neighborhoods within a two block radius only to find an empty spot reserved for Who Even Cares.

The atmosphere is homey and comfortable. The paninis are SOGOOD. The drinks aren’t quite up to par but the signature blended drinks are always fun. The staff is very friendly but orders tend to come out slowly. It is a great place to study and get stuff done or meet up with people! Free WiFi too!

The breakfast taco is delicious. I order it with no cilantro. House coffee is great. Croissants are very fresh! There’s usually always parking in the lot and there’s indoor & outside seating.

Five stars! Every time I come back something is better. The frozen lemonade(with or without added fruit) is wonderfully delicious. Their green tea is the most refreshing drink I’ve ever had. They don’t always have it, but they have this spicy chocolate chip muffin drizzled in chocolate that’s out of this world. My favorite food is definitely the garlic margherita panini, its so gooey and delicious. Its crispy but soft. I could eat one every day forever until the end of time. I recently tried the patty frap I think it was, or peppermint patty frap, I love mint but hate coffee so my review on that might be a bit bias. It was half perfect(I just really hate coffee). Today I’m having another frozen lemonade and garlic panini because not only do I lack originality, but I’m at war with what I’m comfortable with and what I really want. Which just so happens so be what I’m comfortable with so that’s okay. The staff here is so nice. I’m sorry I don’t know any of your names, but you’re all so nice so nice. Oh, you have to go in the bathroom whether you need to use it or not. Go wash your hands or something. Just do it.

The breakfast burrito must have had crack in it — it is was so good! I’m not sure what made it so good since it *looked* average. I am still unsure. Maybe a sauce of some sort? Dang, I really liked it. The second time I went, I was able to try the Cuban sandwich and a breakfast sandwich with avocado and egg and other stuff. Both sandwiches were surprisingly delicious! And large, too – especially for the price. Seriously – a great value. The coffees I’ve tried are tasty, but I’m not a coffee expert. They are also below what other coffeehouses charge. The service was friendly. The only complaint we had was that it was really bright in there from the big windows. This place has quickly become a favorite for the great prices, great food, and the fact that it is designed for people to come and work for a while.

I’ve seen this place pop up on my Unilocal friend’s feed a lot in the past couple of days. Being a coffee lover myself of course I had to go give the place a try. Located in the Chase parking lot behind it sits this coffee shop with a very cool looking sign. The entire coffee shop goes with this design of clocks all around it, with the gears and color orange. Its hard not to draw compassion to the movie clockwork orange when you see all this, specially when you’re a Kubrick fan. None the less, the place is rather clean and is actually a lot larger on the inside than it looks on the outside. They really went all out on their interior here( ) They have a specials board outside( ) with all their specials of the day. The«alarm» caught my eye and I’m a sucker for cold brew coffee. For $ 3.95 you couldn’t beat this deal anywhere else. The alarm comes with two shots of espresso over iced cold brew coffee. This was definitely a real pick me up that got me through the rest of the day. The cold brew was really good here, and I can definitely recommend it. This place serves all kinds of different pastries and assorted food items, I didn’t get to try any of the food items, but everything looked really tasty. The staff here was very friendly and even offered me a punch card, where when you fill up the punch card any item on the menu is free(what a great deal). This place is really close to my usual area, and I will definitely be coming back for some quick coffee in the morning before heading out.

The bargain we make with coffee shops is that they’ll let us linger in comfort, using their wifi and listening to their music, if we’ll eat and drink while we’re there.(Hear me, hipsters? You don’t add value by virtue of your presence: buy something.) Working from home gets boring, so sometimes I relocate to the real world and do my thing over the Internet. I like coffee shops, where I can eat a sandwich and stay caffeinated while I work. I have expectations of those things, and that’s where most coffee shops lose me: they don’t honor their end of the deal, serving dry, tasteless food and burnt or watery coffee. Not so owners Laura and Gordon at Clockwork Coffee Shoppe, who offer high-quality coffees and espressos, tasty snacks, wraps and panini, low prices, comfort and convenience. They’re sweet people who are eager to please. Laura makes much of the food they serve from scratch, providing restaurant-quality flavors from a tiny kitchen. I ate a very tasty ham, egg and cheese Breakfast Croissant this morning, and later, a sandwich made with good lean pastrami, very rich Swiss cheese, a touch of sauerkraut and a dab of sweet Russian dressing, all served on rye bread that was hot and crunchy — straight from the panini press. Clockwork’s coffee, supplied by San Diego’s up-and-coming Westbean Coffee Roasters, offers the interesting and exciting range of tastes that Westbean has made a standard for coffee in San Diego. Gordon has experience and knowledge gained from years of work in the coffee business that help him use Westbean’s products to their full, delicious effect. The food and drink sold at Clockwork is, for the moment, offered at below-market pricing. The business is new, and eventually, I’d expect their prices to rise, but given the shop’s location near SDSU, it’s unlikely that they’ll increase to Starbucks’ rates. As for the shop itself: I need good chairs, as I am what my mom and Sears Roebuck used to call«husky,» and I was pleased to find that Clockwork has furnished their shop with heavy, straight-backed side chairs and cushy leather club chairs. I also need strong, fast wifi, quiet, interesting music, and relative calm, and Clockwork furnishes these things, too. For six months, I’ve searched the County for a suitable remote workspace. This morning, I found it. Visit Clockwork Coffee Shoppe soon and see what I discovered. *********************************** The Westbean Coffee Roasters:
