This review is about a year late, but I figure better late than never, right? I went in to try to fix my acne. Pros: Very easy to get an appointment — I didn’t even have to wait a week. The receptionist was very friendly to me, and they even gave me a reminder call the day before. The doctor was friendly, and he offered several suggestions for ways to clear up my acne. He gave me several samples of the prescription he ended up giving me, to try it out first. When it came time to schedule my next appointment, they were helpful as well. Cons: His office was the messiest space I’ve ever seen. The waiting room was nice and tidy, but when they took me back to see him, I thought I had walked into an episode of hoarders. Stacks of papers and books everywhere. Absolutely everywhere. At one point he went to photocopy a sheet with some information for me, and it took him a couple minutes to find it. While he was friendly, I got the feeling that he wasn’t really taking me seriously, either. One of his suggestions was to eliminate all foods containing iodine(including things like broccoli, etc.). I did some research later and saw that this was thought to be connected to acne, but that naturally occuring iodine in the diet should be fine. I already had a diet very low in iodine(I don’t even think I was getting the minimum daily recommended amount…), so I’m not sure why that was a suggestion. His other suggestions were changing my razor more often, switching out pillow cases more frequently, and trying this retinol/benzoyl peroxide medication. My acne hasn’t completely gone away, even now, but those suggestions were very reasonable, and I think the prescription helped. Again, an okay/average experience overall. Very friendly staff, easy to get an appointment. Messy office, and I don’t feel like one of his suggestions was necessarily a good idea.

Very knowledgable and personable. He takes time to explain things, help you understand and follows though with check-up etc. Also friendly staff that’s good with making quick appointments.

The other review is still accurate, but would like to add that you get the personalized care that is lacking in today’s health care system. I try to see him every six months to check on surfer sun damage. Getting an appt won’t take two months either.

Very nice doctor with friendly assistants. Service was quick and the medical form I had to fill out was short. The waiting room was comfortable with a flat screen and plenty of magazines. The flat screen had a health channel on it that was mildly interesting, but I would have rather watched the news or something. This place would be 5 stars if they cleaned up their office a little. It was really cluttered, especially the doctors office. I would recommend him overall for the friendly staff and experience of the doctor.
