Check this out! I have been with cox forever. I have always used the automated system to pay my bill. There system is down. I was told that it would be back up the next day! That was Saturday. Now it’s Monday after trying again for the tenth time, It’s still down, cox is the worse. Just spoke with a supervisor. (Kevin) he is still doing research and said would call me back! «Will See»!!! Soon as direct tv merges with AT&T I’m changing my service! It’s not worth the hassle every month… COX SUCKS!!!

Oh Cox… what terrible service providers you are. I’ve been your customer for years on end, not by choice, but because you are the one I’m stuck with at my home. Whoever reads this, please use any other service if you have the choice. I just got my bill in the mail, and yet again my prices went up. For the 100^th time, I had to call in just to try and negotiate my price down yet again to make it competitive. Every single time I have to ask for a manager to get what I want, and then miraculously once I threaten to drop my services, a promotion comes through. Not for you, but only for me. If you tried to call in and say I got this great 50% off promotion, you wouldn’t get it. What I’m trying to say is, this company treats every customer differently. They will milk you for all your worth, and it doesn’t make sense. Cable companies are losing over 50% of their customers year over year, and they just keep raising their prices to maintain their profits. Well this time I finally didn’t have the energy to ask for a manager. I just dropped to basic cable… you know the kind that used to cost about $ 5/​month… just plug your tv into the wall and get NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, etc. I’m paying about $ 20/​month for this all because I want to keep my current internet promotion which is gone in April. Once that happens I will strictly find an internet company with the most bang for my buck and stream all my tv like everyone else the cable companies are losing to. If I need a live sports game… stream it. If I just have to watch that tv show every week, stream it the next day. Netflix is great as well. This company is a joke and unfortunately should be closed from having the worst customer service on the market, but no… people are forced to use this monopoly. Force yourself to realize live tv can now be streamed, and please save your money. Stop donating to Cox and hopefully one day we can close them down.

FYI– 3 days after dropping Cox I got a phone call from an executive saying they would drop my cable cost by 60%. So apparently they aren’t willing to work with you at all until you put the cancellation order in. Got my U-​Verse service set up two weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier. Switch. Seriously, just do it. Life is so much better without those Cox suckers.

WORST INTERNET EVER!!!
I am a software developer with a computer science degree so I am not just some Joe Schmo internet user.
This is by far the worst internet EVER. I am in a COX only cable area, the only other option I have is DSL or Dialup which is not enough for my internet needs.
I get disconnected at least once a day. It is not because of my router because I have tried it with just the cable from my modem directly into my router. I have also had ZERO PROBLEMS with my router when I had roadrunner cable. It’s the same router.
I tried to tell their less than knowledgeable customer /​technical support about it, but that gets me nowhere.
This is the worst possible internet you can ever get, ever ever ever.
Stay away, I wish I could give them less than 1 star.

Cox Communications charges for services never ordered and does not respond to complaints. I deducted overcharges after 3 months of excessive billing and no response from multiple inquiries, now they are threatening me and trying to charge late fees! Service is often interrupted and they never compensate for lost time. The charges continue to increase and there is no explanation. I am in the process of canceling Cox and will never patronize them again.

Our DVR Service didn’t work and Cox charged us for a 2^nd box when we got a replacement. Customer service was unhelpful on the phone. They want to charge $ 30 to pick up their broken DVR boxes. On Demand never worked. We cancelled any extra services and have just regular tv now.

Poor service
They charge you fees without telling you and you don’t find out until you discover it on you bill. The cable signal goes out every once in a while. You have to install everything yourself and if you have a tech come out to help they charge you $ 55.
Costumer service sucks, you wait on the phone forever and they are never helpful.
I found my time with COX to be a very poor experience. AT&T is cheaper and offers better service.
AVOID at all cost, There are other cable and service providers out there.
