As a kid growing up, I was tired of donuts because my parents used to own one back then. But now it’s different. The shop was sold around 05. Later after those years I started craving them again. Have it being sold, I always remembered Crispy’s Donuts. Before my parents sold the business, I used to come here all the time to wait for class to start. Sorry mom, I was playing Street Fighter here every morning haha. Have been said, being tired of donuts, I still bought some, and man they’re good. Being at my parents business almost everyday made me feel like a donut connoisseur. Their donuts reminded me of my parents. I’m a fan of yeast donuts, and their yeast donuts are light and fluffy. Everything else they have is good from cake donuts, to croissants. the best time to come is in the morning. Always. Not in the afternoon or evening. The morning, which give this place their name«Crispy’s donuts.» Their donuts are slightly crispy on the outside if you ever try their fresh off the fryer donuts. I have to say my parents had the best donuts, but since their shop is not around anymore, this is my all time favorite spot! I hope nothing changes here.

OK I’m I at the right place? I’ve read the reviews, the pictures, mapped it my phone said I arrived at a 5 Star Donut Store where everything is fresh and cheep(last I knew that’s what a $ means on Unilocal) but a $ 1.00 for a single glazed donut is NOT cheep or reasonable, cakes for 95 cents apple fritter $ 1.45(small!) and the coffee, please can a Navy Chief go by and show them what good coffee really is, a small coffee $ 1.45. This place is nothing crow about in fact I won’t be here again because it’s no big shakes. Maybe it’s changed owners or something in 20 mins one 3 customers have went in including myself. Slow morning I guess or the word is out? Locals have a tenancy to have their fingers on the pulse. P. S.: I forgot to mention they charge .60 cents for a small refill on coffee, a big pet peeve of mind, coffee’s cheep it sets the tone for you desert, dining donut experience a free refill would not kill you beside if your slow its ether burning getting old or you’re throwing it out for that fresh pot your patrons really want. It can make or break the experience.

Doughnuts are always fresh! The owner is really nice and cares so much about her quality!!! Highly recommend it! It’s a small location in a shady looking area but you’ll be fine…

If I feel like a good donut, there’s no question where I need to go. This little shop in a small strip mall serves up a large variety of conuts, muffins, and drinks — and does so quickly and cheap, too. Expect to pay $ 1 a donut a la carte. The ladies are the nicest around and you’ll find yourself enjoying a soft fresh donut moments after walking in.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid — For over 25 years. The staff is wonderful and recognizes old familiar faces and new one’s alike. Crispy’s has the absolutely best donuts in town! I’ve introduced many friends over the years and they agree. I recommend coming early as the donuts are crisp and you have the best selection!

Almost 30 years this place has been here. I’ve been for for each of them having been a resident of City Heights. Though I no longer live in the area, I make my way back every once in a while. I stopped by yesterday, and the owner still remembers me. She is an awesome lady who makes, in my opinion, the best donuts around. Thank you. Sadly, no more Street Fighter to really bring you back to the good days.

I am so glad that this place is near me. I don’t eat donuts that often, but when I get craving for them(which is usually after a night of partying), I come here for my sugar fix. It’s cheap, it’s fresh, and it’s the perfect grease concoction for your morning hangovers. You seriously can’t go wrong with that. Gotta love glazed donuts and donut holes… mmm…

I have been going to Crispy’s for years. It’s had the same owners for decades. The donuts are always fresh and the service is great. The bear claws are my favorite.

Crispy’s has been, and shall be for the foreseeable future be the ultimate stop for delinquent students attending Jackson Elementary, Horace Mann Middle and Crawford High Schools. I speak from experience. There isn’t much going for Crispy’s. Their donuts are decent, the people are nonchalant, and the parking stinks. The biggest thing they had going for them was Street Fighter vs. Capcom back in the day, which always had a small crowd of people standing around it. Those lacking fighting game prowess(myself included) would stand in awe and watch donut shop gaming legends bust out 24 hit combos as their finisher. The biggest draw for me were the donuts holes, the Orange Bang! machine and huge, cheap cups of coffee. I was pretty high-strung to begin with so imagine what happened when I coupled that with a coffee buzz. I was a juggernaut of energy! An unstoppable force to be reckoned with! The PE teacher had me running on a treadmill for 5 hours to power the school during a power outage! Ok, it was never that bad, but that coffee was some mean stuff. Friends and teachers alike thought I was super ADD, and I was too wired to let them know it was the coffee. Crispy’s is still around, serving the youth and working people of City Heights. If you should find yourself wanting to play a pickup game of whatever the latest fighting game is against a prepubescent kid, be forewarned — they’ll probably shame you and laugh at you when it’s all over.
