I would like to share with everyone what I experienced today at «The Café» with Pat. I ordered from the menu on the wall, and made a choice from the very large burger list. It took about 25 min to get my order. I was now late to get back to work from lunch. I began eating fast because I was starving. Three bites in I looked down at the burger, it had a strange tangy taste and was so over cooked and grey that it was falling to pieces in my hand. I set it down and opened it up. It looked like the cook knew he ignored the burger for a long period of time because when he tried to get it off the grill it fell to pieces and then he tried to piece it back together on the bun. I went back to the«Café» down the street and showed the cashier the burger. He said«Oh its falling to pieces» I said yes it is. He looked back for Pat in the kitchen. Pat says«I told you not to sell any burgers» Cashier says«She had already ordered it» They then began talking about another persons order and Pat walks out of the kitchen. I then ask whether or not I am going to be penalized because I didnt get the memo about the burgers. Pat then says, «Are you going to yell at me to make yourself feel better?» I reply, «I came in here very calm, all I wanted was to get something fresh. But your attitude is starting to make me want to yell.» He then proceeded to tell the cashier to give me my money back and told me to get out. I asked him why is he punishing his customers because he allowed unedible food out of his kitchen. He then walked to the kitchen door and slammed it shut. Seems like Pat doesn’t care about his local customers. I recommend any resturant or fast food joint in the many plazas down the street over this«Café» any day. You will wait a very long time for food that is not that great even on a good day. Buyer Beware, You might get kicked out if you point out any mistakes.

I have enjoyed working with Pat and his team for many a seminar and/or meeting over the last 4 years… events that require more than just a bagel and juice or a sandwich and soda… a hot breakfast and tasty lunch can really make a impression and with many of the buffet items on their list with in any budget– it makes the boss happy too. Pat’s team is very professional, always on time and the set up is super speedy and quite! a big plus… and the set up always makes the buffet look fresh and inviting. I usually order the Sunrise Special and the price is about $ 9.00 pp. but you get scrambled egg, salsa, home-style potatoes, bacon, sausage and a continental breakfast with juice, coffee, fruit and variety of baked good. It is a lot of food for this price. Lunch has been build your own baked potato’s bar and salad for my more healthy eaters– to the build your own nacho bar, taco bar or old west BBQ, the Santa maria tri-tip is amazing. Price for the lunches ranges from $ 9.00 to $ 15.00 Dinners can range from $ 14– $ 20.00 for prime rib… My order can be anywhere from 10−30+ people and the food and service has always been great. By all means give them a call and see what they can do to help make your next breakfast or lunch meeting a bit more impressive than just bagels and coffee…

We used The Catering Group for our wedding. They provided excellent food at an excellent price. Pat, the owner of the business was very straight forward and understood our need to have something nice without being over the top and expensive. Our guests were delighted with the food and we could have not asked for a better deal. If you want something fancy and over the top, I would not recommend this place. But if you want excellent food at a cheap price($ 10-$ 20 per guest), I highly recommend this place.
