I always walked past this place along my walking route during my lunch breaks, and added it to my growing bucket list of things to check out. When submarina closed, I gave in and visited the subway down the street(and got charged $ 9 for a very mediocre sub…). Today, I decided to check this place out. Initial impressions — wow, this place is literally a converted office space. There is a hot griddle in the middle of the sandwich area, and no range hood to catch the fumes of frying sausage, eggs, and bacon. The sandwiches are GREAT though! Although there was a 10 minute wait to make a sandwich, the end result was awesome. I would recommend the Murphy Canyon Special! The owners are very sweet and nice! The shop has a huge mom and pop feel, which I love.

This deli has a little bit of everything. It’s not a full service sandwich deli, but they have a big selection of what you’re looking for. If you’re in the area looking for some snacks or drinks, check it out! I have breakfast here every morning. Just might want to call ahead for things that have to be cooked/prepped if you’re pressed for time. 5 stars all the way for the friendly owner.

I LOVE, LOVE this place! I would of never know about it if it weren’t for my wife, it’s a little hole in the wall run by an older couple. Best Sandwhich I’ve had! Love them, can’t go wrong with anything, on my days off I come visit my wife at work just so we can have lunch here. Awesome place.

Why would anyone give a bad review to a small mom and pop deli? Of course it is crappy its a tiny food establishment meant to satisfy your need for not gas station food while you are at work. This place is simply here for the office spaces and nothing else. Your other food options include McDonalds and Jack in the Box, get over it.

This place could never get a 5 star or 4 star because it is not at that level. It is weird when you walk in because it feels like converted office space. Seems like they are cooking on a George Foreman grill, but it works. The owners are very nice even if they take a while to do things. I only get water and drinks here, but only because i am usually on my way in or out. If you are not use to hole in the wall style then avoid this place. If you need quick go elsewhere. If you need a drink and a Sammy and you have 20 minutes: DOIT!

I was in san diego for business and was starving and stopped by the awesome and charming deli. I was so impressed with how much quality and care the owners put in to their food and customers! Great prices and fully stocked with any drink you can imagine. Seriously delicious food! Support them!

These pics must’ve been during the grand opening because the guy must’ve changed the oil in his car or changes the tires prior to food prep there’s less dirt in the gutter, has any one heard of gloves? Soap? And there’s a charge for anything other payment than cash, fair bet can you say his accountant has two sets of books. I’m all for mom-pop and have never given a «bad» review before but this place was– ridiculous, I can’t give any stars for the safety of others i was seriously not going to eat but by the time he added all the sir charges it was too expensive not to ecoloi here we go sorry gotta go to the potty now!!! So I guess I have to give one star to get out of this post so

I work in the office building that this Deli Mart is located in. They are always stocked with chips, drinks and candy. I have not tried their hot lunches yet. Prices are a little much, but understand that they need to earn money somehow. I did think it was a little redic when I went in there asking for a couple pieces of ice for my drink I brought from home, and he charged me for ice! Like I said, I understand you need to earn money, but 50cents for 4 pieces of ice… come on! It is very convenient to have this so close to the office! I do not need to drive up the street for a soda!

I work in one of the businesses down the hall so for convenience alone I’m happy that this place exists! When I forget my lunch, Nick & Adela help my hungry stomach get fed with their sandwich selection, gryos, and other snack-y options. They recently re-did the place too so it looks a lot nicer and eye pleasing as well. Drinks and other smaller items can be a bit pricey, but if you had a business centrally located to tons of offices, you would probably upcharge for creamer too.

I’ve gone there for years — and Nick and Adelle are the best! And for me — their food is addictive. And for those who don’t have cash — but work in the offices — Nick is good about doing tabs. Although, now he does accept credit cards. But, back when I worked next door a few years ago — he didn’t. So, I did a tab and would just pay him on payday. Great couple — and they must be doing something right. They’re still going strong.

You are wasting your money if you go here. The quality of food is terrible for how overpriced their sandwiches are. And it always takes SO long to get your food. The owner is easily disgruntled and not very friendly. I’ve been in there when he has a few customers — meaning 3 — and that«influx» of business seems to set him off in a foul mood since he simply can’t make a basic turkey sandwich in under 25 minutes. We’ve also heard him terrorizing the local offices in the business park, not very professional or courteous.

Admit it, there is no way on earth that this is either a 5 star establishment nor is it a 1 star. Of course, it’s my review so my opinion. Granted, the couple that runs this place is very nice, the pricing for the food is reasonable and actually tastes pretty good. Why is it so slow to get a sandwich??? I was in recently and I, along with another couple were the only ones in here. It took 20 minutes to get a sandwich and I ordered nothing special. The wait however was worth it because the sandwich tasted just find and was very filling. Odd little set up. As you walk in, there is the sandwich counter as you’d find at most deli’s. The odd part was the fact that it wasn’t a «true» kitchen but basically a hot plate/griddle behind the counter to cook up the hot sandwiches. Not ventilation other than what the building HVAC provided(id: no exhaust hood). One wall consists of a large cooler with several choices in drinks while small booths line the opposite and adjacent wall. In one corner, there was an area that you’d find in a small market(candy, coffee, aspirin, chips, etc.). Needless to say, this deli basically has it all. Definitely good food… they just need to speed things up a bit.

You have to give props to a place that is a one stop shop for a deli, quickie mart, AND alterations! 3 star review is old(They accept cash AND cards), and one star review dude… no one trusts a review from a faceless Unilocaler. :-P Because SERIOUSLY, if you have ever been here, you would know how amazing Adella and Nick are. And you would want to support them in any way you could. I just moved in the building they are located in a few weeks ago, and they were the first friends I made here. They gave me the run down of the menu, the daily specials, and some info on Adella’s tailoring business. And I am a little confused by the comment that they don’t really have much… because they have more than most on-site deli’s have by far. Huge drink and chip/snack selection, first aid stuff, coffee made fresh whenever you ask nicely, and a large menu of sandwiches and salads. Probably more than I am even naming… Can I just say, that Adella’s Chicken Curry is outta this world. Its Tuesday’s special and I have a standing order…(6 bucks and some change for a huge to-go box of chicken/potato curry, rice and salad). Not your typical chicken curry but a really yummy homemade version, the traditional non-creamy way. My hubby loves the Chicken Teriyaki Wednesday special, and I think they have a Spaghetti Thursday special too. I love that they deliver here in the building, and have little booths to sit and eat at if you feel like getting out of the office. Thumbs up from me!(I only wish they had Dietz & Watson or Boars Head deli meats which are gluten free… not sure what brand they are using.) Did I mention its UBERCHEAP to eat here??! Support them! They are wonderful!

Oh Deli Mart… why do you toy with me so??? I can sneak over from work… but you only take cash. Breakfast bagel with sausage… but tastes bland and greasy. Vitamin Energy drink which is the bestest… but you charge me extra if I want tomatoes on my bagel. Oh cruel Deli Mart, what? You deliver? Okay.
