i found Debra and david through Unilocal and they did such a fantastic job i had to leave them a review! i had recently purchased a platinum promise ring online and did not order the ring in the correct size. i called the store and david picked up the phone. he was very helpful and answered all my questions. i came in later that day and was blown away by the service i received! debra and david are real family jewelers! debra’s grandfather started their business almost 100 years ago. before david took the ring in he was very thorough and took detailed notes on the receipt that i got for leaving the ring! they use a local gold smith that does all the work for them so they never send anything out like the chain stores. my jewelry repair was very affordable and only took 2 days! i would recommend this store to all my friends and family. while i was there david showed me some designs that he is working on. they are really high tech! they use 3d models to create cad /​cam images so that you will know exactly what the finished piece is going to look like. they have a nice selection of estate and pre-​owned jewelry at excellent prices! Diamonds on the rock won me over and is my jeweler for life! although their specialty is diamond and gemstone jewelry they do offer watch services also, they can size the watch strap, change the battery, or service any watch! when it comes time for me to buy a platinum, 14k, or 18k gold engagement ring i will come here first. Diamonds on the rock has a huge selection of loose diamonds because they were in the wholesale diamond business for many years. i am so happy these wholesale jewelers opened up in Bird Rock! it is a great gift store with silver jewelry for under $ 100!!! i love that there is an honest jeweler in la jolla that can provide me with all my jewelry needs.

I love this place! David was extremely helpful with customizing my 3 year old daughter’s first diamond earrings. His knowledge helped me chose the perfect color and size. I’m on the verge of purchasing a beautiful cross necklace for myself. The location is perfect right in the heart of La Jolla and right next to the beach! We are from the Los Angeles and the drive to diamonds on the rock feels like a little adventure. Every time we visit. Their selection of jewelry always brings me back and their prices definitely keep us as a satisfied customer. I have recommend them to my family and all my friends.

Debra and David are the best! They have a cute family owned jewelry boutique in Bird Rock. They have the best prices on new jewelry in San Diego. Their store is easy to find being on the main strip and there was plenty of parking when I pulled up.
I went in to have a chain soldered because it snagged on a shirt and broke into pieces. I felt so comfortable leaving my diamond jewelry with them. Debra is a graduate gemologist and showed me my diamond under a microscope. She taught me things about my diamond i never knew and is a true diamond expert!
While I was there they showed me some settings for engagement rings and their prices are so affordable compares to other jewelry stores. I will definitely come back whenever I am in the market for any jewelry need!

What a great little jewelery store. Deb and David are super nice and helpful. I had a ring resized and another one polished and they both came out great! Very reasonable prices and a great selection of beautiful jewelry. I’m so happy I stumbled into this shop. I also tried getting a necklace lengthened but just couldn’t get the exact same links so I’m trading my old necklace in for a new one in a few weeks when I decide what I want. Thank you so much!

Amazing personal service. I had heard this «family» run business dating back to upstate New York was excellent! They earned my trust. I wanted to have a very sentimental ring, my grandmothers engagement ring, repaired. I felt comfortably leaving the ring in their capable hands. So pleased to be called sooner than promised when it was finished. Beautiful. So happy I had another diamond from my mother in law set on a sliding bezel necklace. This is now my new favorite place to use for my jewelry desires! Thank you Deborah! In addition to diamonds they have a distinct affordable sterling line from Italy — I bought some earrings which are perfect for every day work.

If there was an additional star I could add I would! David and Debra are so amazing! I felt so comfortable and completely educated when my fiancé and I were looking at ring ideas and options. They knew exactly what I liked based on some pictures I showed them and on top of that, David sent us 3D pictures to ensure that it was exactly what we had hoped for. Well the final outcome was beyond more than I could dream of! I am so in love with my ring and feel like a princess and the most special person on earth. They created a beautiful ring for us to which I cannot even express how happy we are! We also purchased our wedding bands as well! Why stop at the engagement ring when everything else is also on point!

Terrific all-​around experience!

I’m very excited that my favorite jeweler has opened a shop in Bird Rock. I’ve been one of Debra’s clients since the mid 1990s when she had a shop near UTC. Then her shop moved to Mission Valley, and now she’s nearby in La Jolla!!! I have been happy with the quality of the jewelry, and also the shop has very fair prices and great customer service. David is also great and helped me select an important piece of jewelry when he was younger. He’s honest and one of the best.

Exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable family business. I brought a gold watch in for appraisal; David and Deborah took the time to explain everything to me — professional while being friendly. That they took the time, looked for the value of comparable pieces and gave no pressure, it really does give confidence that they are being honest. Very glad that I happened across this store!
