Great prices, but they are very slow to ship out orders and quite often they drop orders. After 5 days of waiting for shipping for an in stock item, I had to call them.
I hope they can get it together one day!

Do not buy from this company. I bought a couple TV Lamps from them that were advertised as EPSON. I tried the first one for 30 days and it was very dim and made the picture very hard to see. I broke down and ordered the real EPSON lamp and the TV worked great again. I tried to return the lamp that I didn’t use and they wouldn’t take it back…30 days is the cutoff. The product is cheap and doesn’t work… save yourself the trouble and just pay the extra for the manufactures lamp.

I purchased a lamp for my Mitusbishi tv, from Discount Merchant Electronic, on 3÷7÷2014, and can not be happier with the service. Price, service and knowledge of theie products is superb.

I recently got my RC truck from Lutema and I was extremely surprised! First off it was very easy to order, then I got the fastest delivery ever, next day!!! I get the truck via ups and as soon as I open the box I am impressed. I didn’t expect such a quality truck and it looks awesome just sitting there! So I charge up the battery and take it out back and OMG this things is FAST!!! I read the manual and it says 40km/​h, I don’t know if it goes that fast cuz I couldn’t control the damn thing but as soon as I get more acquainted I will test it, there’s no stopping this beast! I love it, great product, great service. I only wish the battery lasted longer! Hahaha

After initial sticker shock at the big box store and a horrible experience with Fry’s management, I was so happy to find Discount Merchant Electronics via Google. It is refreshing to see so many positive reviews and that the replacement bulb for my Sony Wega KDF-​42we655 lamp was IN STOCK.
The price for the Philips OEM in housing was $ 50 cheaper than Fry’s and over $ 100 cheaper than Best Buy (redirected to
). Although some people say they received their bulb in 24hrs, I had to call in after not receiving a tracking email.
It took about 20 min to get thru to an operator and another 10 min for him to find my order and update the status. Turns out they didn’t ship it yet and he assured me it was going out today (2 days after initial purchase). I find it a little suspect that 10 min after the call I received an email from UPS with my tracking number.
I received the bulb a day later (total of 4 days) even though the DM warehouse is roughly 100 miles from my residence in California. The bulb is a Philips OEM and fit perfectly after install (10 min from box to picture on TV).
A warning… The directions are pretty vague and the YouTube videos are incorrect. If you have my model, there are a total of 4 screws (2 on each back edge) that need to be removed and 2 more screws that loosen but do not need to come out from the back. Removing the bottom front panel is a bit tricky as it feels like you’re going to break the plastic, but careful pulls will allow the panel to «snap» out.
Unplug the TV, use latex gloves, and remove the old bulb housing with allen wrench supplied. Line up the new housing and make sure the bottom connection slides in with slight pressure (looks like 2 fuse plugs). Screw in the housing, replace the front panel, then screw in the 4 screws and tighten the 2 large screws. Plug in the TV and you will have a brand new picture!
They said this is an OEM Philips bulb so it should be good for 6000−10k hours roughly 5 – 7 years. I went with DM instead of Egghead (redirected again) because of the positive reviews. So far so good!!!

I don’t know what everyone is saying about this place, but i purchased an item last Tuesday adn got an email confirmation saying tracking number will be provided in 24 hours… well 7 days went by later nothing… I tried calling for the last 5 days and no one picks up… Till today a person picked up after waiting for about 30 mins on the phone… and talked to the rep who got my information and said we will ship your item right away after 1 week and half… and i asked for tracking umber he said call back? What kind of customer service is that when they should be the one call me… So now im stuck trying to call both the 800 number and local number and no one picks up… all i have to say is this place has a terrible customorer service and for the product i don’t even know if it’s really real.

Wow! that was fast… our replacement bulb arrived in less than 24 hours! We installed it in 5 minutes and the TV works just fine; no humming, buzzing or other strange noises. Thank you for the free shipping and a very fair and reasonable price. We definitely recommend DLP!

Hands down, if you need a new lamp for your DLP projector or even if you need to figure out what’s wrong with it. Go to these guys. Super helpful, fast and priced right. They even have a site devoted to helping you DIY the replacement. What more could you ask for?

You’d also need the guts to change your own fading or burned-​out lamp, the most common problem to befall older modern (HDTV) equipment. It’s the easiest part of the TV to replace, so much so that some manufacturers even provide directions in the product manual.
Discount-​Merchant Electronics came up big when seeking a new DLP lamp for my 4.5-year-old Samsung; it offered the best price and technical information, the most useful of which was to buy the bare lamp and use the original housing. That saves you $ 20 right there. They also offer video demonstrations of how to make repairs.
When I bought my HDTV, the hard-​sell pitch for the warranty was: «It covers the projection lamp, which is a really expensive repair.» Well, it is if you can’t search on the internet and don’t bother to read the manual before calling the repair shop. Besides, the lamp will most likely weaken or fail after the warranty expires.
Discount-​Merchant gives you a free-​delivery window of five to seven days, but they’re in San Diego, and the shipment was at my door in two days. Had to pay tax on the $ 100 part; the cost of being a Californian-​American.

Usually it is such a hassle to get a new DLP lamp but this place is great! There are so many places online that have bad service, sell fake Philips lamps and/​or that rip you off for those DLP lamps. Discountmerchant had good prices and they have amazing service! David helped me troubleshoot my TV over the phone and we figured out that it was not the lamp that was broken but that something else that I could easily fix myself. I got free advice and my TV started working again. Six months later it was actually the lamp that broke and I called them again and this time I ordered a replacement DLP lamp and got the same great service, an unbeatable price for a real philips lamp and fast shipping. If my lamp would break again, I would not hesitate to call the guys at Discountmerchant!

Ordered a DLP replacement lamp off their website. I found their prices pretty competitive, and definitely appreciated their warnings to prevent you from mistakenly getting the wrong product as well as the video on how to change the lamp. When the shipment got to me, it took me no more than 15 minutes to swap it in.
