After several years of watching our daughter’s golf game develop, it reached a point of needing to be elevated to the «next level». After approximately 6 hours of coaching over 8 – 10 weeks the results became apparent. Swing mechanics improved leading to better ball striking, flight and accuracy. I met Christie at and LPGA event where they provide free 10 minute golf lessons. Her practical ability to zero in and make a difference within 10 minutes gave me a level of respect for her knowledge of the game. I found her teaching in my area and signed on for more lessons.
Christie is very effective, direct and insightful and her lessons reviewing abilities, performance, and perspective on the game of golf. I don’t spend the whole lesson working on my swing and trying to get it to look like everyone else’s. It has really been the key to improving my game. She has shown me that I can find what works for me and then I can reach my potential and meet goals.
Christie adapts her teaching style to meet the needs of each person. She has an empowering approach, helping me understand that the discovery of what works is mine.
I am still discovering my swing in achieving my goal of consistency but in a little over a year I dropped my index from a 22 and 11! Christie is an excellent golf instructor. What makes a great golf instructor? The ability to communicate golf swing concepts in a variety of ways. Nearly all instructors can look at a swing and know what the student is doing wrong. But not all instructors have as many ways to communicate that to the student as Christie does. She has many different ways to help me understand the golf swing. If I don’t understand it at first she will try different methods to help me understand.
She also builds a great relationship with her students so that it is very comfortable asking her questions about things that are tough to get the first time. That is important with any instructor.
I also like the technology that she makes use of. Not all instructors do this but she takes the time to video my swing and sits down and analyzes it in slow motion so I can see visually what she is telling me about taking the club back too far inside or outside the swing path and then video of the correct swing path after she corrects me.
The most important thing in any instruction is am I getting better at it? My handicap is falling from 25 to 16 and heading towards 12. I am also enjoying the game more than ever. It is more fun to be in the fairway and hitting greens in regulation more often than ever. When I miss I have much more confidence in my short game to get on the green and down in two instead of 3 or 4 extra shots.
If you want to enjoy the game more and reduce your handicap then it is worth spending some time with Christie.

Working with Christie during my Duffer’s Series, 5 Lessons was a learning experience I will never forget. Initially, Christie asked me a variety of questions.
I learned these questions allowed her to determine how best to communicate with me to achieve my desired goals.
Christie’s use of this information allowed me to clearly understand concepts and strategies. (I hate it when people talk to me in their terms and I am supposed to understand). I valued that detail.
Christie’s extensive experience, and training in playing and teaching golf is obvious. Our sessions were fun and varied, yet focused. We not only used golf clubs, we used a rope, pool noodle, and my favorite a racquetball racquet to demonstrate and understand concepts.
Christie used her I Pad to video and review certain aspects of our sessions. She explained and showed me my balance is my biggest saboteur. She sent me video to make sure I reviewed and understood what she saw.
Christie modified my stance, grip and my swing plane… darn near everything except my putting stroke. I learned putting challenges. Christie also offered several ideas to reconstruct my psychological approach to the game.
Her professionalism, encouragement, insight, and patience were key in my looking forward to practicing and attending each session.
Since my final lesson, concepts are easily remembered and applied. I am playing better golf than I ever have. I enjoy playing so much more.

Christie Quinn is the ultimate golf professional. I think that she has forgotten more about golf than I will ever know.
A friend encouraged me to take a lesson from Christie. I must admit I felt intimidated knowing she is a competing LPGA pro. But armed with my desire to improve my golf game I scheduled a lesson.
Christie put me at ease right away and before I knew it I was answering her questions about my goals and the problems as I saw them, the things that I enjoyed about the game, what my priorities were, where I thought I was in the process and where I wanted to go.
What makes her a really great coach is that she is an expert at getting inside of one’s head where the real game of golf is played and begins her teaching there.
Christie is very skilled at helping me to define MY best swing that will allow me to play my best golf. That includes recognizing the things I do well and the things I do less well. She uses her iPad to record my swing and then we review it together. She also has a golf bag filled with a lot of odd learning tools… but it works!
She is patient. She is able to break things down and explain them in a way that I can learn and relate.
Christie knows all the moves, knows the techniques and can demonstrate them all. She knows all about the equipment and the rules and how to strike the ball that is plugged in the bunker… heck, she competes on a professional level.
But for that hour that she spends teaching me how to play the game… she
makes it all seem so simple.
Seriously, I am becoming a golfer.
