Consistent and good service. Good vibe. I may have to repost tomorrow based on the quality of the hose whiskey. No big name drinks but we going in.

My boyfriend and I decided to check out this place on New Year’s Eve since I love hookah! When we were at the door the security guy told us we had to spend $ 35 to get in and we thought that would be easy to meet since we planned to share a hookah and have at least one drink each. When we first got in they seemed to be sitting everyone on just one area, they put me between a random girl and guy and my bf across from me, I was probably closer to the random guy than my bf so they moved us quickly after the host saw the uncomfortable look on my face.
The hookah was good, the ice tip is pretty cool. Drinks were not all that great, we asked for a shot of patron but they only had top shelf. They probably spend all of their money on making the place nice and fancy.
What pissed me off and was a buzz kill was the over charge fee on our tab. They charged us $ 40 for our hookah and two drinks plus another $ 35. The security guard at the door failed to tell us that we had to spend $ 35 each, had I known this I would not have come in! When we told our server about the situation she called the security and he came in the building and started yelling and getting all crazy saying that he told us $ 35 each. To his surprise a couple sitting in front of us were furious because he told them the same thing that he told us. The couple in front of us was way more upset and refused to pay the extra $ 35 so we teamed up and the owner came out and «waived» the fee. So our server came out with our check of $ 39.00, I paid with my debit card and signed to a total of $ 39.00. The next day I checked my on line account and the place charged me 75.60. Ain’t that some shit? Total fraud! I’m not so worried about the 36.90 over charge but the fact that the whole thing was a horrible experience starting with the crazy security guy down to the owner who tried to act cool and say he was waiving the fee (although they messed up) yet still overcharged me after I signed a receipt with a different amount.
Apparently, I’m not the only one who this happened to though. I went back yesterday to talk the owner but he wasn’t there so the manger on duty pulled out a list of people who had the same complaint and shared that a lot of people had been calling for the same reason. I added my information to the list lets see if calls. I doubt it!

High prices for bottom shelf liquor, the staff will hover over you and move you around for better paying customers. There is requirement of 1 hookah per 2 people, yet they fail to mention this in writing on their menu or verbally until your party shows up. Do not go here on the weekend unless you have cash to burn.

After about an hour or so I asked for the check and noticed I had a ‘Retail Fee’ for $ 45. Everything on my tab looked on point except for the ‘Retail Fee’ so I asked what it was about and I was told that me and my lady had to spend $ 35 EACH and that we were told when we first walked in. Then, to our surprise, the couple that was sitting directly across from us had the same issue and we confronted the man in the front and he said he told us it was $ 35 EACH. After 10 minutes of he said — she said the Owner settled a deal for us and charged me and my lady our tab minus the ridiculous $ 35 fee. I paid, signed and left.
The next day I look at my bank statement and noticed I was charged my tab PLUS the $ 35 Retail Fee! After going in and showing my receipt of the correct amount I was told that the owner is the one who deals with the credit/​debit card transactions and that there was a list of people calling FOR THE SAME REASON. This is horrible business and the owner is shady. He tried to steal from me, but the idiot didn’t realize I had a copy of the receipt with the amount I signed for.

Horrible service from the beginning. Waiting at the door finally got seated and had to share a seat and a half in order to sit next to my wife. Not sure how their hookah hits because service was that bad. Didnt get a menu prior to seating. Just walked out and drove to hookah lab. The high end scene of hookah is a joke. Don’t know what happened to regualar lounges just to relax with loved ones or friends.

Cool place to chill and have good hookah after a stroll around Gaslamp. Enough said! I strongly recommend this place if you like hookah

Quality hookah, friendly and attentive servers, fun and classy environment. Highly recommended for a night-​out in downtown.
Favorite hookah flavors: Safari Melon Mint, White Peach Guava, Spiced Chai Lemon Mint, and Rose. Get an ice-​tip hose, trust me!
Hungry? Hummus plate, Pizza, Caesar’s Salad, Grilled Chicken Panini… many more.
Divan Lounge is a must! I wouldn’t have recommended it if I didn’t think so!

I like this place! Chanced upon it Saturday night on our way to check out a different hookah place, but we liked this one so much, we decided to stick around,
They have a very nice ambiance, the music volume is just about loud enough to make it comfortable, but not so loud that you can’t talk. Our sofa had a giant hole that someone apparently burned into it, but it was far enough off to the side that nobody fell into it. So yeah, nobody quite ended up in Narnia that day.
We started with their recommendation — the white bubblegum. It was subtle and smooth, not bad. Had a good bit of a kick too. Their service is courteous, they check on you often enough without being annoying. Good cocktails, good hummus. We got the mint hookah next and it was pretty nice as well.
Just two slight dampers: the compulsory gratuity if your check is above 80 bucks. And a guy asked us if we were ok sharing our table with someone else. To be fair, he saw our reluctance and let it pass, but if he had offered us some free drinks or comped something, we might’ve even accommodated. We are pretty cheap that way.

It’s a Wednesday night, Tony calls me and says «yo money, let’s go get some hookah» so then I get on my 2 way and reach out to the rest of the crew. Four of us reach the door when the door man tells my boy Moe «no drinks» and reaches out to grab his cup out of his hand. We were shocked at first, couldn’t believe he actually reached for the cup. He didn’t offer Moe an opportunity to even finish his drink.
We had 8 other hommies on the way and Moe was pissed.
We understand that there are rules in place for every establishment but grabbing a drink out of a customers hand like that is unacceptable. We thought about giving the door man a wild Wild West style ass whopping but decided it wasn’t worth the trouble.
So we go to Pasha where the service is amazing! Should’ve just went to Pasha to begin with.
We ordered 6 hookahs and tons of tea.

It’s Wednesday night and we were mobbing deep about four of us and 8 more on the way. We got some Starbucks coffee and our friend Tony said why don’t we go to Divans for some hookah. We go to the front entrance and this guy with a thick accent welcomed us… And right away he said no drinks and started to reach forward to grab my cup. I look at Tony and asked him is this really happening? Are we being told to dump our drinks because the doorman won’t allow it… I felt disrespected. It’s not even a matter of policy it’s how he approached it. Did not even ask politely straight reaching for the cup. We thought about whopping his ass and leaving the place but we aren’t looking for trouble. So I said to Tony fuck this place it’s not worth the trouble.
We went to Pasha instead. The staff welcomed us as always and never said once that we should dump our coffee. We got 6 sets of hookah for the crew and ordered 12 cups of tea.
So
Divan hire some qualified customer service employees. You guys need to remember that on a Wednesday night it’s hard enough for a business to get a client and outsiders coming with tea should be the least of your worries.
By the way when a hookah lounge opens a few feet away from another lounge like Pasha that should convince you enough not to give them any business. They’re leeching business and they don’t even provide high level customer service.
Pasha lounge is always offering the best service and never once have I had any issues. Go to pasha next time it’s a few feet away.

We sat at the bar. Pretty cool hookah bar. Love the strawberry flavor. They open late til 4:00am that’s good. We got here like 1:35am. Lol! Good CS ! Pretty busy here. Def we’ll come back to chill & smoke.

A group of us from LA were in town for the weekend, and we wanted to check out some local SD hookah spots so we ventured over here.
We came during peak hours, and what could’ve been an extremely hectic and chaotic experience, turned out to be a very smooth and pleasant one due to the gentleman working in the front, Bret, who made sure all the customers were being accommodated for.
Service, hookah, food options and the price were great! I’d definitely recommend this place for small and/​or large groups (:

My order double Apple the best hookah in downtown San Diego. Make sure to order from Tiffany shes the best.

I like the setup but the service was sub par. The server never came around to check on our hookah. We wanted to order other stuff, but couldn’t. It wasn’t busy. Not really sure why it was tough to get service. Staff didn’t look that happy.

This place stays open late. Service is always good, owners are very welcoming. It gets pretty busy during the weekends. Hookah ice tips are amazing, must try!
The pizza is pretty good if your hungry, after hours.

I like this place because it has great décor and has a chill atmosphere. When we were in town visiting for Comic Con we came in here twice. We had this awesome, pretty waitress who was super friendly and attentive when we came in towards the end of happy hour. She gave good recommendations when asked and they come around to give you new coals regularly.
And I do recommend coming during happy hour because of the 2 for 1 shots and $ 12 hookah. It’s also great that at no extra charge you can mix and match flavors. I mean what else is there to say when you have a relaxed atmosphere where you can congregate with a bunch of friends, drink, and have hookah? Living in San Francisco there weren’t a lot of hookah bars that were like this, so when I can find one like at all anywhere I very much appreciate it. Beautiful waitresses AND their nice too on stop of everything else?! Whole package right here.

Went with a group of friends to relax and smoke some hookah and glad we chose this location!
Our server, Katelyn, was excellent. My group couldn’t decide on a flavor so she picked for us and it was perfect.
Our experience here went very smoothly.
Also, the drink we got was delicious.

Super nice hookah lounge with a full bar and the ladies are so sweet and nice! There is ample seating area and the couches are so comfy and CLEAN! Major plus the entire place is very clean :)
The girls came back regularly to change coals and check up on us. Definitely an upscale hookah lounge compared to the others that I’ve been to.
