Great sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. Selection of drinks, coffee and a few supplies for the local marina residence. Sadly, no Sunday brunch right now. It’s a great attraction, and I hope they bring it back soon.

Every Sunday at the Dockhouse Deli at the far South end of Marina Village, they have a Jazz Brunch(catered by Ranch Events) for $ 11.75 for adults(it was $ 10.75; just went up to $ 11.75 on Sun. Aug. 25), and $ 5.50 for kids. Still a great deal. For this price, you get live jazz by P. Ellis Quartet(it’s a little too loud at the tables near the stage for our taste), buffet brunch, and coffee or juice. The food — it’s mostly just ok, but they have made-to-order omelets, which are tasty, and even little quesadillas w/a lady who hand-makes the tortillas right there and slaps them on the griddle w/cheese and, if you want, chorizo. The kids were fans of the chocolate nutella-like dipping sauce which they ate on strawberries, and even the French toast. I’d probably rate it a 3.5, but add in the nice marina view, family-friendly setting, outdoor tables, and low prices, and I’ll round it up to a 4.

This place was convenient for coffee and snacks during a work training I went to here for a few days. It was walking distance from our training room. Basically down toward the end of the pier area. It was already open with a few customers hanging out here a little past 7:30am. The coffee was decent, however, they had a donut stand next to it that was always empty. They could stock up on that to be honest… other then that they should just take it down if they do not plan on stocking up on donuts. Never tried the deli yet. People who work the register are really friendly.

This deli gets one star just for the cashier being so nice. Otherwise, not so much. I ordered a club with no bacon or tomato, but add avocado. Lettuce and onion OK. No mayo, but a little bit of mustard. Am I complicated when it comes to my sandwiches? Yes. But it’s my sandwich that I’m paying for(extra for the avocado, usually). And I figured it would be OK since the order was very clear on the little form they use(checks and Xs for each ingredient) AND since she read it back to me not only when I ordered it but when I picked it up. Well, I got a sandwich with 1 slice of the wrong kind of cheese, 1 slice of turkey, and 1 slice of ham, tomatoes, bacon, 1 peice of lettuce, and 2 tiny squirts of mustard. No avocado. No onion. The only thing good about this sandwich was the rosemary roll it came on. Next time I’m here for an event, I’ll get back in my car and go somewhere for something good.

3.5 stars. Deli seemed kind of empty inside. Menu was a laminated paper right next to the register. Ordered a Club Sandiwch and was surprised to see a huge layer of meat. Taste wasn’t bad, but ok. Came w/a side of macaroni salad and pickle. Salad was good, although, portion could have been bigger because it just looked like a small scoop. Friend really liked his turkey avocado sandwich. Their soup of the day of Clam Chowder was tasty, but watery. I added some crackers and it helped thicken up. Overall, not a horrrible place to stop in when by the marina. I was expecting worse since the quality of these food establishments next to the water tend to be poor. But, was okay to good. They also have a buffet brunch, but didn’t get to try it. Location: next door to Marina Village.

The Dockhouse Deli at the south end of Marina Village is both a deli and a convenience store serving those with boats in Quivira Basin and people at Marina Village, as for training classes or conferences or some such. I fall into the latter group, and have eaten here quite a few times, both last fall, and at the present. The sandwiches are rather well stacked with meat, and come with a side of pasta salad and a pickle. Pretty good sized sandwiches for the price, and they are pretty good. They also have a soup of the day, coffee, and small selection of pre-made salads, as well as chips, and wine, laundry soap, and other sundry items and snacks for boaters. I wouldn’t come out of my way to come here, but their sandwiches are tasty and well-priced. i generally skip the pasta salad though.

What a difference a week makes. To start at the beginning, six days a week Dockhouse Deli is a mild manner restaurant that serves the marina at Hospitality Point. It has a serviceable selection of meat and cheeses for sandwiches. The prices are surprisingly reasonable considering the captive clientele. On Sunday they bust out with brunch complete with omelet station, two flavors of juice, pastries and the usual suspects of brunchdom. Mainly homestyle cooking meaning omelets are folded over and no stuffed french toast. My first visit was perfect. Outdoors on the water with delicious food. Before I forget, Dockside is cheap. All you can eat for less than $ 10.00 including tax. I was ready to give it 5 stars… my first. I couldn’t wait to go back. Week 2, the french toast was greasy, the potatoes soggy and the pastries included just cheese danish. I would have given it 2 stars one for food and one for the ambiance. Thank goodness for the trails so I could walk off food. Cheap all you can eat breakfast that is inconsistent. It was so very good the first time and so very bad the second. If you’re in the neighborhood you might throw down $ 10.00 and see if it is a good week or a bad week. PS They didn’t include any Champagne in the price.
