Doggos Gus

We had their catering services yesterday and it was awesome. They were on time and provided great service to our 200 employees.

For an awesome tasteful hot dog, there is no better place in San Diego! They have so many toppings that add an additional taste to it!

I ran into these guys at a street festival in Pacific Beach and tried their T.J. Hot Dog wrapped in bacon topped with the works, and at $ 4, it was not a bad deal.
The hot dog was pretty good and I appreciated the generous amount toppings and the sauteed onions were great (
). The hot dog was good, but it needed to me warmer inside. I like when I bit into one, and the juices run out cause by the trapped heat. I almost asked for another one, but for go-​ed it. The bacon that found itself nicely wrapped around the hot dog had good flavor and good textural appeal. (
). If only that hot dog was piping hot it would of been a winner in my book. They need to find a way to keep them warmer or serve them right of the heat source.
The people who run and own Doggos Gus hot dog stand are very cool and enthusiastic about their hot dogs. I say, bring on the heat!

Baja dog!!! Got the jumbo dog, very hungry. Loved how it had the usual toppings PLUS extra toppings. Grilled onions. Turkey bacon bits. Yum. Paired with White Lab coffee stout = good! Kind & friendly service.

We just invited Doggos Gus to our Summer Block Party event Saturday, July 13^th. They were prompt, very friendly, and had some of the most creative Hot Dog combos I’ve seen for a mobile food business. It’s hard to go wrong with a bacon-​wrapped Hot Dog! As an organizer of an event, I also very much appreciated how low-​maintenance they were – so easy to work with and took care of everyone who was hungry.

Gustavo was a pleasure to deal with. He catered our party of about 25 guests flawlessly. His thoughtfully prepared gourmet Dogs are the best. We highly recommend and will use him again!

I just had an 80’s themed Birthday Party and had Doggos Gus come and cater in the late evening for us & the hot dogs were the Bomb! Amazing Hot Dogs and it couldn’t have been better for our guests to enjoy them late at night. It reminded us of those late nights in TJ when we would get Street Dogs after clubbing. The staff was great and the set up went really smoothly. Thanks Gus!!! It was Great!!!

Went to the farmers market with family on April 4^th, and was looking around seen quirte a bit of some great buys and came across this hot dog stand. Never had eaten a hoit dog with bacon wrapped around it. I learnt that the gentleman name is Fernando, and boy did he meke that hot dog with all the toppings on the bun and one bite of it was so giiod I havd never tasted any hot dogs that good and believe me had plenty of hoit dogs to eat at different places. This one even beats out the hoit dog that you get at the DelMar fare. Keep yp the good work guys Fernando is doing a wonderful job at the farmers market.,

Me, my daughter and sister-​in-​law went to the Farmers Market on April 4^th, 2013. Gus’ hot dogs are the best and Fernando adds that special touch; we tease him about it all being in the wrist. Fernando also gave us a card and told us about catering for parties and that they set-​up everything for one’s celebrations anywhere… that was good to know. Excellent service and great food, thank you :)

Discovered this amazing hot dog at a company event. My eyes wanted to eat 3, but my belly could only fit one. :/​I topped my bacon wrapped dog with grilled onions, beans, guacamole, and mustard… no I wasn’t pregnant… don’t judge me. Anyhow, it was fantastic. I decided to hire them for my daughter’s 2^nd birthday and my family (100 guests) were so impressed by the fast service, unlimited supply of hot dogs and delicious flavor. They kept talking about the food days after the party. Just writing this review is giving me a serious craving… ok now I’m pregnant, but either way these are the best hot dogs I’ve ever had. P. S. they even brought horchata as a bonus. Delish!

My Mom and I stumbled upon «Doggos Gus» at the Linda Vista Farmers Market last Thursday and, boy, are we happy we did! These taste even better than the ones my friends and I ate as kids after a night in TJ back in the day. LOL ;)
Super yummy and very reasonable…$ 3 for a regular bacon-​wrapped dog or $ 5 for a huge bacon-​wrapped dog. The fixings are what make this my most favorite hot dog find — the chipotle sauce is awwwwesome. My family and I went to a food truck event where they were selling sub-​par dogs for nearly twice the price. And did I mention Fernando… he was the absolute best! A lady just so happened to tell me about a Unilocal offer (a free hot dog if you wrote a review) and Fernando honored this right away… so that meant he trusted me enough to eat now, write later. I appreciate that. So, we ended up with two for the price of one. Hot diggity dog! :)

One word… DELICIOUS! Doggos Gus made my son’s 1^st birthday party a day to remember! All my guests kept telling me how delicious and unique these hot dogs were! Not only is their food great, but Gustavo and his staff were very attentive and professional! If you are throwing a party and don’t want to worry about the food then give them a call! You will not be sorry you did! Great food, great service, GREAT people! I will definitely use them again for future parties! Thank you!

I ran into Doggos Gus this weekend at the Dia De Los Muertos Festival in Vista. First, the prices are reasonable. But, the Hurtados Hot Dog was great. The dog sticks a couple of inches out of each end of the bun. It was crispy on the outside as if it had been BBQ’d, but most and delicious on the inside. The bun appeared to be a freshly baked bun, not like the buns that you would by at Costco or any supper markets. I wanted the Chiptole Sauce, but alas, mayonnaise is of course an ingredient. So, I opted for mustard. They had a very large selection of sauces and toppings. I met the owner, Gustavo «Gus». He and his assistant know what customer services is and give it with a smile. I told him that this was the best hot I had ever had, because it was. Can’t wait to run into Doggos Gus again. Oh, most of his dogs are made of turkey for a healthier choice than beef or pork. He said that he developed many of his recipes from the street vendors throughout Mexico.
