Croissant sandwiches are the best for it’s price. Under $ 5 for a good breakfast sandwich. I’ve been coming here 5 days a week for a #8 #6 and it’s always the same. NOTHING is under cooked and it’s always HOT off the pan. No complaints about their donuts either. It’s priced well for what it is and if i wanted a gourmet donut I would go to a gourmet donut shop.

I enjoyed a great Buttermilk Maple Bar from this cash only doughnut shop. I stopped after breakfast nearby because I was craving something sweet, so I asked for the said buttermilk bar and a small carton of chocolate milk. Now the buttermilk bar came heavy laden with that great maple crust on top. It was sweet and had quite the great maple flavor. I liked that it was pretty thick and hugged the dough not very well. The buttermilk doughnut itself was larger than most and was very moist. It had that great buttermilk sweetness and slight tang that buttermilk provides. I was most impressed with its mildly dense yet soft moist texture. The young ladies running the shop were quite sweet and patient, I observed as other tried to make up their minds what doughnuts to include in the dozen they were purchasing. They only accept cash, but do offer an in store ATM that no doubts charges a fee, so bring cash. Definitely a place to try a Buttermilk Bar and then some!

This place is among the best donut shops in San Diego. The donuts are always fresh. The breakfast sandwiches are as good as any other reputable sandwich shop. Their lunch sandwiches are good too. Their ice coffees are delicious and the regular coffee is nice. Their prices have not changed in the 3+ years we’ve been going. The staff are friendly and professional and always happy to see regulars. Only issue, it’s cash only, but that just adds to its old school appeal. Sad to say, we’ve now left San Deigo, but will always think back about our happy times at the Donut Factory and will no doubt be stopping by when we’re back in town!

This place is an old-school donut joint, with huge, fresh, tasty, classic donuts and coffee drinks. I agree with a previous reviewer — this place is not one of the newfangled hipster donut places with weird flavor combos and overpriced donuts. I’ll take this«good-value-for-your-money-and-familiar-flavors-done-well» version of a donut shop over a «did-I-just-pay-5-bucks-for-a-donut-with-blue-cheese-and-rosemary?» version any day. When you just want a good ol’ tasty donut and a decent cuppa joe, amble on over to this spot. You will not be disappointed.

**If you check this place out, bring cash as they don’t take card!** Every time I am in North Park, I stop by this donut shop. It is exactly what I think a donut shop should be like! It doesn’t have the aesthetic appeal of the new donut shops with the crazy gourmet donuts, but that’s what I love. They have all the classic favorites, and I have had most. My favorites are the chocolate sprinkle donut and the regular glazed. The donut holes are okay, though I definitely prefer the actual whole donut. Sometimes they are fantastic and I can’t stop eating them. Other times, I think«meh, eating 10 donut holes is enough for now» lol.

I’m a North Park local and this is my «go to» for donuts. Ya I know all the cool new craft donut places that are über cool, but Momma doesn’t wake up before 9am and I am not waiting in line for a $ 3 donut. Super yummy inexpensive donuts and sandwiches. They put jalapenos on the sandwiches with homemade croissants. What else do you want? They’re always nice and super fast when I need something to eat.
Finally got to try my local donut shop. Unfortunately my breakfast croissant was not so good. Warm to room temperature. But my main concern was the under cooked dough in my croissant. Old fashioned donut was not the best flavor either. Cappuccino mocha is the kind you’d get from a 7-eleven dispensary. I’m sad this place didn’t work out for me because it’s so close to home and Street Car Merchants across the street still needs some fine-tuning. I’ll stick with Rose Donuts off Morena and Friars. They’re always great!
