The mission gorge el pollo is relatively new and it was my new favorite place until recently. The last five times i’ve been there they have made errors on my order, when getting my order in the drive through the woman is speaking to someone else and has to have me keep repeating my order, just rude. I’m never going there again…

I actually really like EPL. Very healthy and fresh tasting food, each and every time.

Rude rude rude. Also a note to the CEO and management, if you want your chain to do well, you want items on your menu to appeal to everyone. ESPECIALLY to those who have Dairy allergies. You also may want to hire pleasant people.

I’ve had ok luck with this place since my last review, except for last night. I ordered a 2-piece chicken dinner with both pieces breasts, sides of coleslaw and mashed potatoes. When I got home I opened the bag and here is what I would up with: Two breast pieces, a random wing piece, some kind of bean-soupy thing, and mac-n-cheese. The extra piece was nice, but I had to drain the bean-soupy thing and put salt on it and the mac. I missed the mashed potatoes. Oh and also, the menu outside is falling apart and I couldn’t find the list of sides and she says«it’s above the microphone ma’am.» Well no wonder, that part of the menu is hanging down so you can’t see it. So ghetto.

I LOVE el pollo loco salads and bowls. But this location CONTINUOUSLY forgets to give me dressings. I keep giving them the benfit of the doubt and not double checking their work by looking in the bag. But from here on out I will have to ask. It’s so beyond frustrating getting home and missing dressing. One time I got half my order, and half the ladies order in front of me. I only know this because she hacked up a lung asking for Tortilla soup at the drive in. I bet she was one unhappy sick lady when SHE got home and didn’t have her soup! I would go INTO the store more often but the parking lot is a nightmare. I hope they get it together.

I have eaten at El Pollo Loco several times before in their restaurant and at different catered events. I am not a big fan of their food. The chicken does do much for me. I rather have my chicken deep fried. Not the healthiest but something about the taste. I tried their chicken burrito for the first time and I was surprised on how good it tasted. The freshness and flavorings were different from a run of the mill local taco joint. Mildly surprised at the taste. Service was good. This location has parking but it is a tight location. I would probably eat here again but stick to the burritos.

Thank you for restoring my love for the chicken Mexican Cobb Salad after the Poway store slaughtered it. Chicken was fresh, all ingredients were there, employees were friendly and attentive, service was quick.

After a(2) horrible experience at El Pollo on Camino del Este in Mission Valley I decided to try another store. I have to say this store in Grantville restored my faith. The customer service I received was great. I asked for more wings then legs and that’s what I got. Food was amazing.

I love el pollo loco because their chicken always have white meat and crispy skin, which is a combination I love. Their food is pretty healthy, also, depending on what you get. Typically, my family gets the family meal with 8 – 10 piece chicken(mixed pieces) and that comes with 2 sides. The sides I get are mashed potatoes and mac ‘n cheese. At this location, my family and I got the 10 piece chicken(mixed pieces) with black beans and salad. We also had a coupon for a free shrimp burrito(that’s what I chose out of the 4 – 5 options) with the purchase of the family meal. The chicken was delicious! It was my favorite part about the meal. The salad was good, but we didn’t get dressing, which made it bland. I didn’t try the black beans, but everyone else liked them. The thing I wasn’t so happy about was the shrimp burrito. There was barely any shrimp in it. It was dominated by beans and lettuce. Not to mention, it’s an avocado shrimp burrito and there was NO avocado in it. So they gave me slices of avocado to put in it. My burrito was very sad, and it made me sad. Also, the cashier and workers in general were rude and didn’t look like they wanted to be working. Everything was such a hassle for them, like when I told them I had no avocado. The lady slicing it for me looked upset. My sisters go to this location a lot and say they’re not usually like that, but my experience here was not the greatest!

This crazy chicken is amazing!!! Must say I’m a huge fan of this El Pollo Loco. They have never let me down. Chicken is always fresh and if you enjoy creamy cilantro dressing you should add a little to your chicken or any menu item for that matter!

I love the food at EPL but I now refuse to go to this location. They have never gotten my drive-through order correct(i.e. no chicken on my grilled chicken salad, carne asada tacos instead of chicken) and they always forget the extra salad dressing I request. Interesting, because they consistently remember to charge me for the extra(scantily — filled) cup of dressing. They just never give it to me. If you absolutely have to eat there, skip the drive through. Walk in and check your order.

Great pollos! Crappy parking and location! I always just a fast food restaurant chain, such as, El Pollo Loco from their Bathrooms. Their bathrooms are a 3/5, as such, I am rating this El Pollo Loco branch a 3⁄5 as A-OK! Have fun!

I wanted to write a review for this place since I come here every time I get my tires worked on next-door at the discount tire. I ordered a California avocado burrito &2 churros with extra cinnamon and sugar. The staff is very helpful and friendly and was happy to describe all of the ingredients in my burrito. I have a fresh salsa bar that is to die for! The pico de gallo is made fresh daily and you can take as much as you like. Also have a green avocado salsa that I literally caught myself drinking out of the plastic cup at one point. It’s so good I’m not even embarrassed. The only thing I would give constructive criticism about is the fact that the metal chairs are extremely loud when they are pulled out from the table it actually hurts your ears and makes you cringe. Other than that I would give this place a big thumbs up! Try the hot chicken soup too a cold day are when you’re not feeling good. Great comfort food :-)

This place is amazing for a quick on the go meal. In all my years of coming to El Pollo Loco I have never been disappointed. I had the bowl it was so good filling and full of flavor. You can customize to what you like all the ingredients were fresh and cooked to perfection. My husband had the 3 piece combo and he said the chicken was moist and the beans were delicious. He had the spiced corn and he really liked the taste. I highly recommend El Pollo Loco great value for price.

This has become one of Moms’ favs to eat out lunches. Always a well-maintained facility with efficient and friendly staff. We love the variety of salads(i.e., carne asada) and often use the free lunch coupon when you buy $ 10 off the menu… Meals always have been fresh and I found it a great pit stop if you have to leave your car at one of the two tire stores next door. The Mexican Cobb salad is another of my favorites. We often order their chicken breasts to go too.

pros… this is the el pollo loco that i like going when i’m done going to the chase bank across the street. this one at least the drive through is really fast and the order is always right. have been here at least 4 times and in and out in like 7 – 8 minutes start to finish. i’m back home in another 8 minutes. it’s not the closest one but it is the closest one to a chase bank where i do my banking for the clinic. cons…they really need more light in the parking lot and around the store. i almost thought they were closed when i drove by at night, as the lights here were very dim. but then when i walked inside the store it was like super bright.

You can definitely save a buck if you use coupons here. I definitely try to stay away from fried or unhealthy eats. Of course, I have cravings from time to time as you can tell from some of my check-ins & reviews. Instead of KFC, Popeyes, or other fried fast food goodness, I opted for good ol’ El Pollo Loco. Their rotisserie chicken is pretty good. It’s not greasy and I do not feel as bad after eating it. Recently, I tried the Loco box for just $ 10. It includes 4 tacos and 4 burritos. The grilled tacos were pretty good but I am not much of a rice and beans burrito type of gal. I actually need meat in my burrito, sorry not sorry! When we do not want to cook and crave an alternate fast food joint, this is one of our go-to spots. Drive thru is definitely the way to go.

When a company starts charging extra for healthy choices — a cheap bag of steamed vegetables, they don’t deserve anything better than a 2 star — if they change their policy then I’ll change my rating!

I normally do not like El Pollo loco because their chicken is consistently bland and dried. However, I ordered a chicken burrito that had guacamole in it and it was pretty decent. The chicken tasted like it was burned though. I know it is flame grilled but I wish the burnt taste was not as prevalent. I found that I had to use the salsas provided at the salsa bar to mask that taste. Otherwise, not bad for my first taste of it in years.

The crazy chicken strikes again! If you have not tried El Pollo Loco’s new stuffed quesadillas, well I have to say they are quite yummy. I had the Chicken & Avocado stuffed quesadilla which came with its own little package.( ) It came with a small bag tortilla chips and I had an iced tea. The reason why they call it a stuffed quesadilla is because it is really stuffed with all the ingredients.( ) It had a handsome amount of chopped and well seasoned chicken, and fresh ripe diced avocado with a cilantro cream sauce and some greens. I have to say, it was a yummy experience eating it. I added some of their green salsa and it was on! Since it was a decent size, it sure filled me up. Oh yes, the quesadilla came with a nice toasty exterior which added a nice crunch.( ) The service was great; very friendly and the food came out in a descent amount of time. Stuff it! Grill it! And I will eat it!
