Had a great time swing dancing! The music was great, and the dance floor is HUGE! The crowd is mostly REALLY young since it is all ages, but there was a good mix of people there. They had water available and some snacks and soda for all of the dancers, and admission was only $ 7! My man and I went to the beginners’ class, and were really lost– the only reason I took one star away from the rating. Luckily a few of the more experienced dancers offered to help! They have you change partners over and over during the class so you can learn to dance with other people. They definitely encourage socializing! Once the floor opened up for general dancing after the class, it got a little hot in there, so make sure you dress for hot temperatures. It was great fun watching everyone cut a rug!

Évaluation du lieu : 5 San Diego, CA
This is the biggest regular swing get-together in San Diego. Happens on(you guess) every first Saturday of the month at the Infinity Dance Sport Center. Lessons start at 8PM(one for absolute beginners, one is supposed to be a bit more advanced) and are followed by the general dancing that keeps going until well after midnight. Babysitting is typically available on-premises. If you plan to take the lesson, arrive at 7:45PM as suggested by the organizers: the entrance line can be quite long. Expect about 80 to 100 dancers overall, ranging from absolute beginners to very advanced. As is typical for San Diego venues, there are usually slightly more follows than leads. A «Blues Alley» opens in a separate hall at 10PM. Parking may be tight, owners of nearby restaurants located in other lots along Convoy frown upon dancers. If the parking lot next to the dance place is full, I park in the parking lot of the Sports Authority on Balboa a block away. The ventilation for such a huge crowd is inadequate, so dress for a truly warm atmosphere. For up-to-date information, check
