Called to see if they carried a product and was snapped at actually criticized by sales staff. Wouldn’t recommend that experience to anyone.

How great to have this store in Point Loma. Stopped in this morning for shampoo. They have a huge selection and the owner, Cheryl, quickly helped me find the right product for my hair needs. I had a couple if minutes to look around and got some cute hair accessories that I had seen in other stores, but wasn’t sure about. Cheryl showed me how to use them, so now they’re mine :). Can’t wait to go back!

Who says a little flirting can’t turn into LOVE? I am HUGE on supporting local businesses, but when it comes to my hair care only the best will do. I can’t believe it took me so long to find Flirt and am bummed I wasted so much of my time elsewhere getting the same selection I could have got in my own neighborhood. But, it goes a little deeper than that. First, everything is SUPER organized. Were talking OCD organized and from one color/size/type organizer to another, THANKYOU! I am the type of shopper who knows what they are looking for and goes in for the kill. Rarely do I ever just browse around. It’s also nice to have someone on staff who KNOWS what they are talking about when they make recommendations. In enters Timmy, my new favorite hair product guru extraordinaire. Trust me when I say I know a lot about my hair. My aunt has been a hair dresser long than I’ve been alive and my cousin owns her own salon in PB and has been doing hair almost as long as I’ve been alive. Timmy knows his stuff. I love everything he recommends and I love that he keeps up with the latest and greatest. I also love that when you’re a first time customer you get 20% off your first purchase! After all that has been said so far, they’ve already earned 5 stars, but if I could give them a 10, I would. On the 31st of March they had an open house that I attended. Champagne? Check. Makeup artist? Check. Giveaways? Check. Who could pass that up?(Plus I got to leave work an hour early! Score.) I had such a good time, as they had great appetizers and live music. The atmosphere was great and a lot of local Point Lomians(I coined that first!) came out. Now, as I stated before, my family is all up in the hair business and on a whim I decided to try out their new(and when I say new, I mean new to Point Loma) stylist Linda Hamilton. Unfortunately for me, she’s popular and I could not get in that day, so I kind of just wrote it off for another day when I was feeling adventurous to try something new. A week later, I got a call at work from Timmy and he apologized for not being able to accommodate my haircut request and wanted to invite me in for a free cut. Wait? I came in on a Saturday expecting to get a cut without an appointment and now your calling to ME to apologize AND offer me a free cut? This is unheard of. Period. Anywhere. This is the one point in my life where I can say, «You had me at hello.» So, I booked my appointment and happily awaited my turn in Linda’s chair. Maybe it was the hard week at work, or maybe it was the wine, but I was so relaxed when I got to the salon. They had nice music playing and something on TV. The chair was really comfortable and everyone was concerned on how I was feeling/doing. This is super important to me above anything else. Everyone gets the misconception that when you go in for a service that you just go and they do their thing and then your out and they are on to the next one. NO! If I’m going to pay mucho dolares to get my hair done an experience needs to happen. This is also the reason I don’t paint my own nails.(That and I guess I’m not all that talented at it! LOL) Linda described in detail what she was going to do, as I gave her full artistic freedom and we ended up going for color and cut. She did an ombré styling and layered cut that framed my face really well. I love that she had her own spin on this popular hairstyle and decided to be a trend setter as apposed to a trend follower. Ombré is traditionally dramatic, and after getting to know me we went for a more subtle approach that still spoke volumes. I LOVE my hair SO much I literally teared up when I got home.(That was totally the wine and hormones, but you get the point.) I get so many compliments and I love that its still professional looking as I work in an industry where looks DO count. Point Loma has been magic since I moved here, and Flirt has definitely sealed the deal for me. Everything I need is right here in my little PL bubble and I am happy to say I can now include Linda, Timmy and Flirt in my circle of beauty.
