Forever 21

I understand sale racks being packed and over loaded, but the whole store is. Holding clothes in one hand and a bag in the other, I don’t get to interested in, nor have the patience for digging… if I’m not alone in the feeling, that’s a potential loss in sales

Underwhelming Forever 21. The one in Fashion Valley is so much better. This place had the basics but a minimal clearance section and not as nicely organized into sections as the Fashion Valley one. Tip– go to Fashion Valley instead.

Went in looking for something I knew was a long shot. I needed waitress vests for my staff and was looking to get them something a little nicer and ‘cuter’ that standard hotel vests. It needed to be fairly plain in the front since i was planning on getting our logo added to it.
I had already tried several stores in the mall without finding a single item that even got my attention. I started to walk around and one of the girls walked up and asked if i was finding everything ok. when I told her what I was looking for she immediately WALKED ME (not pointed) to the vest she thought I would like. She then proceeded to show me another 4 – 5 options in vests around the store. Great customer service! Unfortunately I cant remember her name but felt the store still deserved a great review.

Forever 21 is a great place for teens and budget go-​ers… That being said. It doesn’t mean the service should be less than any other upscale store. On Friday 7÷31÷15, we popped into the store.
Fitting Room Attendant:
After my daughter picked a few things, we headed to the fitting rooms. A young lady smiled, introduced herself and opened a room for us. She specifically said «Please let me know if you need anything or have questions.» Well we did… There was a strapless bra I picked up but it looked dirty. I couldn’t find any others so I asked if there were possibly any others in stock. Dressing room attendant smiled and said «Sorry, I don’t know»… And that was it! She walked away!
Cashier: The gal asked my 16 year old daughter if she was in school so she can receive the student discount. My daughter didn’t have it on her but did have her state ID with her. I asked if she could use the state ID and see she was 16 yrs old soy daughter could use the discount. Nope! She said the store doesn’t allow…
Overall: The store looked reasonable but the service is terrible. Is it true what they say? «You get what you pay for?» If I could have given no stars, I would have…

If I could give this location zero stars, I would. Every time I have tried to shop here, it has been a nightmare. I even tried calling ahead to make sure an item was there, and was told it was and that it was held. When I arrived, no item, no one knew what was going on, and could not find the item in store anywhere. They barely gave me the time of day to find the item or find something close. I go out of my way to avoid this location. I alway go to fashion valley now and they go above and beyond to help me find what I am looking for and are so nice doing it. Will order online and pay shipping before I go back to Horton Plaza F21

Horrible customer service!
Walked in and no one greeted me. I walked around for 10 minutes looking for help. Finally found some of the items I was looking for but still looking for an associate to help. FINALLY I find a lady and as I am asking for her assistance she interrupts me and says I’m already off and continues to walk out of the store instead of grabbing someone who was working to help me. I put my items down right there and walked out of the store. Granted the average check at forever 21 isn’t that much since everything is so cheap, they lost my sale.
I came in today, Wednesday April 22^nd at 6:30 pm. It was not busy; I saw maybe 3 other shoppers total. Every other store I walked into at Horton Plaza had someone promptly greet the customers and see if they needed any assistance.

I don’t know if I’ve ever given a bad review for a place before, but I’ve given up on this location.
Their employees are mostly good, though you can tell the cashiers are overworked and slow. The manager is of no help whatsoever when I had issues with returning items. Apparently, they will find any reason to reject your return, so customer service isn’t high on their priority list.
The store is alright in terms of selection and organization. I’ve given up and decided to drive to the one in fashion valley instead, even though that mall drives me nuts. The customer service is better there, the store is bigger and more organized, and the checkouts are quicker.

This forever 21 gave the worst service of them all. This store is neat and small, you can shop easily and they have good selections (like most forever21 is), but some associates are rude, really rude. That’s the reason why I don’t shop here anymore. Some of them don’t even smile. Jizz.

No one walks into a Forever 21 expecting stellar service, but this Forever 21 wins the price for the worst service I’ve ever had in a retail store.
When I walked into the fitting room I saw an extremely cute burgundy, lacey tank hanging from the holds section. I immediately told the attendant that I thought the tank was super cute and asked if it was a go back or on hold for another customer. She muttered something I could barley understand and didn’t even turn back to see what I had pointed at. I continued into the fitting room and tried the things I had on. I didn’t like any of them so I returned to where the tank was. It was gone, I asked the girl where it went and she said the customer took it. I asked where there might be more lie it and described it in detail, she pointed across the store and said «maybe over there? I don’t know.» Than she walked away.
The guy over in the section she had pointed at asked if he could help me and I explained the tank to him and he didn’t know where it was either. He pointed and sent me over to another section, a girl over there asked to help as well but couldn’t find it.
In the end I walked back to the fitting room and the tank had been there the whole time! It had been a go back and the girl had just moved it.
I bought the tank and was happy but the service couldn’t have been worse!

I guess it wasn’t my time to shop because of the season. I took forever roaming the store, only to find rings and a compact case. Maybe the clothes in SD is just not my style. Oh well. Glad I didn’t spend as much!
As for the store, it was pretty organized. The staff were helpful, but there was this one cashier who rang up things very slowly like a turtle. The lines got super long until finally, someone decided to jump in and help.

I don’t shop here very often. Mostly because I’m a cheap ass, and when I’m searching for clothes that fit my «budget», I’m going to The Closet. And I don’t really like a whole lot about The Closet, either!
Forever 21 (or is it XXI?) beats The Closet on several points. First, the girls who work here *seem* to actually like their jobs, and at least understand customer service, and that completely ignoring customers is — or, at least, should be — a huge no-​no. Everybody I’ve spoken with has been friendly and eager to help, though they may be commission-​based. Either way, I prefer being greeted to being ignored, so they get points for that. There have been a couple grumpy sales associates before, but I’ll take one or two grumps as opposed to a whole store full of them.
The second point is that the store is huge, so the selection is much more varied than The Closet. It may look like the store ends at the registers, but oh, ho! You step up to the register and realize — there’s a whole other store back there!
I love how they have things organized — there are several smaller rooms off of the large center, and things are pretty easy to find. The sale items are typically up front, so if that’s all you’re looking for (like me), you don’t have to wander the entirety of the store.
And finally, they don’t seem to be compelled to blast that annoying house music/​tech/​electronic «music» that some other stores swear by. Yes, I am aware of how old that made me sound.
My faults with the store are in pricing. It’s supposed to be cheap-​ish, but there’s a huge discrepancy between items that makes me scratch my head. Things that you look at and think should be cheap — such as a relatively simple tank top — instead sell for over $ 10. Things that you look at and think will be well above your price range — such as a very pretty dress — instead sell for less than that tank top. Also, some of the sale items don’t seem very deeply discounted. Or, discounted much at all.
My last comment would be about their checkout process. There are only two registers, and there’s always been a line (or two) when I’ve been there. There’s a lot of space up there, why they don’t add a register or three confounds me. I just don’t want to wait in a 25 minute line to buy a $ 10 tank top.

My favorite Forever 21 in town. And going on Saturday around noon when no one is there, is the best time for trying out everything, browse and just enjoy the place and the many finding you can get there. I used to like their jewelry section, but not any more, since I like more what I can get at Francesca’s or Charming Charlie, but I have to say the prices are really cheap.
Also if you are into cotton-​spandex minis and mini-​dresses, this is your place and also if you fancy t-​shirts with nautical stripes, they have all types and colors. This season what I found more attractive is the collection of booties, very cute and higher end looking that what they are for less than $ 40.
Those blue electric sneakers are also very unique, I loved them when I saw them this morning. Still thinking about buying them, though! The girls working in this store are very nice and attentive, I liked Eve a lot, with her fuchsia-​glittered lipstick, fake eyelashes and great friendly attitude.

Lost a customer Forever…
Bought a pair of $ 5 leggings Sat at North County Fair. Took the tags off Sunday am to wear them, and found a small hole with yellow markings on either side of the hole (the kind you see on flawed fabric). Had the tags, receipt and bag, and went to exchange them for same size, same color today (Monday) on my lunch at Horton Plaza, and was treated like a criminal. «We don’t return without tags.» I pointed out the marked flaw in the fabric, and she corrected that I bought them «2 days ago» not the other day as I stated. She would make an execption this one time and exchange them for a pair without a hole. Generous. I’ll continue shopping at Macy’s. It’s worth the quality and customer service.

I didn’t have that much time to wander around, because I was feeling merciful towards my boyfriend who had been tricked into saying yes to shopping with me. So, my review would only be the front area, accessories, fitting room, and a few other rooms.
The design of the store was pretty wierd — cashier right smack dab in the middle of the store, with its back facing the entrance. I didn’t really like that — it kind of confused me. I was on the lookout for basics, because I wanted a few more of those in my life, but their selection was very limited.
Their fitting rooms are clean, and the employees in there get you in as quickly as possible. The sale room was GREAT. It had so many things on sale, and that additional 50% on all sale items helped make it even better.
The front of the store, however, had lots of new clothing items, and very stylish; and was arranged in a way that was complimentary to the clothing itself. I didn’t encounter than many employees (only one, actually, which surprised me as that’s not the normal 100), but I did see a HUGE COCKROACH. Yup, just chillin’ under a rack of punk rock t-​shirts and shorts. Oh my. Needless to say, I wasn’t so comfortable after that enough to look around the entire store. Makes me pretty hesitant to drive half an hour away just to shop at this forever 21 /:

I dread going to Forever 21 because it’s usually a disorganized, chaotic mess. But I was surprised to find that this location was actually fairly clean and well organized (by Forever 21 standards). It is HUGE, so it takes awhile to go through the entire store, but this is the only location I’ve liked so far. Employees were helpful too.

BEWARE OF THE AWFUL RETURN POLICY… even for Christmas purchases!
The store is PACKED full of inexpensive juniors clothing and darling accessories. Initially I was stoked finding a place with so much stuff, and it all seemed pretty inexpensive, until I arrived home to read the receipt which states. NO RETURNS on jewelry or accessories. None! Who’s ever heard of such a thing?!
Other reputable stores will have non-​returnable items clearly marked (rarely are full priced items non-​refundable). A reputable store’s cashier will also advise you when certain items are non-​returnable. Not here! If there are signs posted which state their lack of return policies they are not plentiful or easy to see while shopping. Since all purchases are final, then I think there should be eye level signs on each rack stating, «Choose carefully, it’s not returnable».
And with someone like me who is purchasing $ 60 of jewelry (at Christmas time) my cashier should have mentioned, «You understand there are no returns or exchanges on jewelry items or accessories.» That would have stopped me in my tracks, re-​evaluating what I was buying as gifts for my nieces. The reason I’ve come to know about this lack of return policy is that I was expecting to return 2 pairs of $ 8 earrings I’ve deemed to heavy for my niece’s lobes. So I’m now out $ 16 of hard earned cash.
Go ahead and shop here, they have a store full of inexpensive cute items. Just know that once you let go of your hard earned cash you’ll have no opportunity to reconsider.

I’ve been a loyal Forever 21 shopper since I was 15. The funky styles and affordable prices are the reasons I have yet to say anyanghaseyo to this store.

You’d think the Kimchi Mama would give her kimchi seal of approval to this store, but alas, no. She says I’m getting too old to shop here. Like the store’s namesake, I inform her that I plan to stay twenty-​one forever.
The Horton Plaza Forever 21 location is the most organized of the San Diego stores with the widest selection of clothes, shoes, and accessories. Be mindful that the material is on the cheap end so you get what you pay for.
However, Forever 21 does offer a line called Heritage1981 which I recommend for those looking for clothes of higher-​quality. I personally love Heritage 1981 for two reasons: (1) 1981 is the year I was born (w00t!), and (2) PLAID PLAID PLAID.

This is my go-​to place. My shopping experience has always been pleasant. The co-​workers are helpful also, I met a new friend there: D teehee.
It’s spacious, organized, clean, and hardly crowded!

Best Forever 21 in San Diego by far. Why? Because it’s spacious, clean and most importantly it’s organized! Thank goodness for the hard working employees to keep this place nice and neat! I can imagine the mess at the end of the day.
Also! They’re really friendly and the employees actually ask if everything is okay or if you need help. This will be my Forever 21 to go to from now on.

My favorite Forever 21! I like to call it the secret Forever 21 cause everyone always forgets about it! It’s always clean. All the others always look like a hurricane of girls ripped through there.
